Amazon already has it ready for preoder, I just order a copy from their german site.

Where is play.com listed for Europe? Can't see it in the faq? From what the faq says I gathered that it will be available in most European countries and more retailers are yet to be added. Can only speak for the UK but GAME almost always get special editions/CE's of games, often with other incentives, so I can see them selling this. With Origins it was mostly easier to get the 'proper' CE in mainland Europe than in the UK so (not sure where you are from) hopefully you'll be fine without having to import!

I assume the additional content of the signature edition (bonus weapons, bonus character, bonus mission and so on) will be available later as separate paid DLC, or is it our only chance to get those bonuses?

Just to make sure your covered, you can put $5 down at Gamestop for it, and if a collectors edition is announced before the pre-order deadline, you can transfer your pre-order credit over to the collectors edition. I'm thinking I'll just commit to the $5 right now, until I hear more about a collectors edition.

I'd also love to know if this is the Collector's Edition. I won't pre-order this if there is an even bigger and better one on the way. Could we please get some clarification on this? =)

The character will almost certainly be available as DLC. The items, I dunno, but probably. All the various pre-order bonus items from Origins are actually free downloads now. Only the ones from the Collector's Edition have to be bought (with the CE, no DLC download for those, sadly)

They named a prize. didn´t they ? For something being worth money you have to be able to pay for it. My guess is that half the stuff will come free with any game (preorder or not) and the rest will be available to be purchased at release.

This is great. I don't usually pre-order but I will for this. I really like the cover art but will the cover be the same size as the regular game? I don't really like the collector's editions with the big bulky covers and stuff.. I hope it's just a normal cover.

Well... looks like Steam has until January 10th to put up pre-purchase, or I'm off to Amazon.

The Dutch gamestore Gamemania also has DA2 up for pre-ordering... For about two weeks already, if not more.

I didn't pre-order it there yet, though. I'm really NOT sure if I'll get the Signature Edition if I pre-order it at Gamemania...

And I really don't think that there are any definite plans for a Collector's Edition. Or, at least, for the moment. And if there are, they'll probably only tell us after 11 january...

If you look around on websites you can actually still buy the collector's edition of DAO new. What country do you live in?
