Not exactly, no. The bonus character will be available as DLC à la Shale with a 95% certainty, but apart from that and the soundtrack, the rest of the bonus content is exclusive to the Signature Edition. That adds up to the digital armory being exclusive to pre-order holders:

• Apostate's Courage
• Seeker's Bulwark
• Adder of Antiva
• Might of the Sten

So even though there isn't an exclusive character included, I'm still very pleased to get a DLC pack and the game soundtrack for free. Some sources also report that a bonus DVD will be included, but that's not officially confirmed as far as I know.

Arrgh. Was going to pre-order from gamestop.ca a couple days ago when it was at $60 but didn't get around to it. Now it's at $70

How is this a "penalty"?  Seems more like a reward.  A reward for those of us who have confidence in the DA  team, and are willing to put our faith (and money) behind the effort. 

Isn't that exactly what a "pre-order special" is supposed to be?

Good thing you've got a few months for gameplay to come out or if not you could still preorder and cancel it should it not appeal to you.

I think trick tactics was used to make us buy ME2 and i will never let this happen again.
I don’t mind the money i paid but i don’t like to be tricked.

We still do not get what you mean by developers using trick tactics. Did you not read any of the previews or dev commentaries before buying the game? We knew exactly what we were getting. I wouldn't call that getting tricked. I would call that just ignorance.

The "Rise to Power" trailer is in-game footage, and then there was the "Game City"  European Demo event in Vienna at the end of September, which featured this:  www.gametrailers.com/user-movie/dragon-age-2-gameplay-video/350296 
(You have to wait through a short advert before you see the footage, and the comments from the player and group of on-lookers are all in German!)

Looked like a pretty good sample of the Character Selection and Combat modes of the game, even if it wasn't the "final product".

So what are you wating on?

It's always  a shame when you pay for a game that does not meet your taste.

In my case i pre ordered this game because i usualy take them for what they are, i'm not expecting something particular for a "what DA2 should be".
And since baldur's gate i was not desapointed or not that much with their games.

For those wonder about Mass Effect 2 and Steam. Mass Effect 2 was released on January 26th to everyone. Steam had ME2 preorders for sale on January 13th.



If their relationship is like anything in the past, we won't see the signature edition till the very end of the deadline. If at all...

Alathin, the signature edition os the collector edition. You need to pre-order untill 01/11
