Any forseeable problems with this?

Though my brother, who works in yet another game store, says that they probably will get a SE. So I have no idea what's true or not. I'm not sure if I want a digital SE.

Too bad this is a public forum, so anything you post gets broadcasted and everyone can see.Sharuko wrote...First, I wasn't talking to you.
Because it's very annoying to see this comment come up time and time again. I don't think you understand how the developer/publisher relationship works. You should be voicing your opinion over at the EA forums, not here. Bioware is not the one handling this.Sharuko wrote...Secondly, you cared enough to respond to me. Third, I as a consumer have every right to complain about something I don't agree with
Then go start your own useless thread and concentrate the complaints that will never be heard by EA there. Stop trying to hijack every other thread.Sharuko wrote...It isn't only me complaining but many other people.
I won't be replying to you if your ****ty spam is every-****ing-where and showing up in places where it shouldn't be, affecting everyone else who doesn't care. Also, ever thought about maybe I just don't stand on your side of the issue? That has nothing to do with Bioware. I have every Bioware games on Steam and I am not fretting over this. Maybe it's because this is not a life-or-death situation. I don't agree with your comment, that is all. This has nothing to do with Bioware.Sharuko wrote...It is funny you got so upset over what I said to BioWare. How about you mind your own business and stop acting like you are a rep for BioWare.
Then why post on a public forum if you don't want to be disagreed with? If you are looking for a hive mind go make your own "STEAM OR ELSE" thread.Sharuko wrote...I stated my opinion not to be attacked by some random posters.
Just like all those people who were going to "boycott MW2" then go and buy the game on day one and play it.Sharuko wrote...I will not pre-order the game and will not play it day one. As I said it is important that I have all my PC games on Steam. You might not care, but I do.
I don't care about your opinion and I am not shutting down your right to comment. I am telling you to GTFO of threads where this comment does not belong and make your own damn thread. I am also telling you that voicing your opinions on this issue on the Bioware forum will not do anything. Go voice it over at the EA forums. Understand how game development works.Sharuko wrote...And please don't tell me not to voice my opinion, I will voice my opinion whenever I please. I am usually positive but we need to hear both positive and negative feedback.
And you are making a huge fuss over this when it is not. You can just not buy it and move on. Your comment changes nothing.Sharuko wrote...PS: I don't think you understand what "angry words" mean.
Again: Go voice your opinion on the EA forums. Bioware is not the one handling this. Your comments about this here are useless. And no, not every Steam user is boycotting this game because it's not on ****ing Steam.

Another interesting thing to note is that on Impulse, it costs 50 bucks as opposed to every other site, including the EA store, having it priced at 60 bucks. What's up with that?
Can we get some confirmation on whether or not the Signature Edition will indeed appear if I pre-order it one of these sites (preferably Impulse now since it's cheaper)? I don't really want to use the EA store. Also, I live in America.
I've used Impulse for games like Demigod and when they had Total Annihilation up a few months ago (best 5 dollars ever and I've been playing it for 13 years anyway). It's like Steam in every way. I'd use it more if they have more sales like Steam.
I've never used D2D, how are they?
Sorry if this has been posted in this thread somewhere. I don't really want to go search through 63 pages.

Too bad this
is a public forum, so anything you post gets broadcasted and everyone can see.
You don't say? I still wasn't talking to you. It is cool and cute you think you represent the company but here is the sad truth, you don't. Please understand that.
Because it's
very annoying to see this comment come up time and time again. I don't think
you understand how the developer/publisher relationship works. You should be
voicing your opinion over at the EA forums, not here. Bioware is not the
one handling this.
I am not going to read every comment on the thread. I said my piece not to be attacked by some angry post. You think you know it all but you don't. BioWare has say in the EA/BioWare relationship and they should not go down the path of playing these subtle games with users. I wanted to buy a BioWare game so I WILL post on the BioWare forums.
Again you seem to have a habit of telling people what to do, don't do it. You are not as special as you think you are.
I won't be
replying to you if your ****ty spam is every-****ing-where and showing up in
places where it shouldn't be, affecting everyone else who doesn't care. Also,
ever thought about maybe I just don't stand on your side of the issue? That has
nothing to do with Bioware. I have every Bioware games on Steam and I
am not fretting over this. Maybe it's because this is not a life-or-death situation. I don't agree with your
comment, that is all. This has nothing to do with Bioware.
You seem angry. Did I say it was a life-or-death situation? Why are you overplaying this? I said I will purchase the game, but I will purchase it later when I will get all the goodies in the SE edition, I don't mind waiting. This has everything to do with BioWare. You have some nerve getting mad over my comment and how I chose to buy the game and when.
I have never spammed. In fact, since you like to act like the forum police look at my post history 99% of the time I am the most positive person in the world.
Then why post
on a public forum if you don't want to be disagreed with? If you are looking
for a hive mind go make your own "STEAM OR ELSE" thread.
I voiced my concern to BioWare not to some random nobodies. I never said "Steam or Else", I actually said I will buy it at a later date at which you immaturely responded "You will buy it at launch" for no reason. Blind fanboy's only hate games and video game companies.
Just like all
those people who were going to "boycott MW2" then go and buy the game
on day one and play it.
People that boycott are stupid. Again you need to get your facts straight before accusing people of things. I said I will buy it but not at release.
I don't care
about your opinion and I am not shutting down your right to comment. I am
telling you to GTFO of threads where this comment does not belong and make
your own damn thread. I am also telling you that voicing your opinions on this
issue on the Bioware forum will not do anything. Go voice it over at the
EA forums. Understand how game development works.
I don't care about your opinion either. This is a perfect thread to say what I wanted to say. Everyone except Steam users get the SE, this thread is about the SE. Again, you need to stop telling people what to do. The sense of entitlement needs to stop.
I was fine with my first post. Now you wanted to drag this on, so I am game.
I don't think you understand what "game development" means. This is more an issue of marketing and distribution. Nice try though.

Steam users, like everyone else, can get the SE. They just can't get it via Steam.
And THAT'S why the rest of us are tired of your whinging. If you were somehow being deprived of something the rest of us were able to get, then you might have a case. But you're not, so you don't.

The difference between people like me and people like you are I will tell a company I do not like their decision. I will not blindly follow what a company says. It is feedback for them.
Again I will stress, negative feedbacks is just as important as positive feedback.
My "whinging" was two posts. Again, I have zero qualms about stating my dislike for any aspect of the game or methods used. And I will continue to do so when I feel BioWare is making the wrong decision.

And before you claim, "But they've done so in the past!" I say, "So?" That just means that a business decision that made sense for "this" product, or at "that" time, doesn't any more.

I don't think you understand. DA2 will be on Steam but not the SE edition. So Valve will still distribute DA2 but the only thing is people who buy from Steam do not get the SE edition. So EA will still pay Valve to distribute DA2.

I agree with you 100%. In fact, negative feedback is much more constructive than simple stating the positives.
I also am quite upset at the fact that the SE isn't coming to Steam. I guess people that don't frequently use Steam or have a good grasp of all of its capabilities compared to alternative digital distribution venues can't fully appreciate the dissapointment we share.
However, I think that EA is to blame here for the exclusion of the SE on Steam. BioWare is an outsider to the decisions made of how the product is made/distributed and who gets to distribute the product. All they really do is make the game.

You left out "don't care." Unless you're trying to say that people must care as long as they're informed. In which case, you'd be wrong.

And if you're willing to wait the additional time (perhaps months) until EA decides to discount the game and make it available through "other" channels, that's fine. The SE is a REWARD for those who pre-order (in other words, trust that the game will be worth it) using those channels that entered into the applicable pre-order distribution agreement with EA.
Perhaps you (again "you" plural) would have been (it's too late now) better served to have been perstering Valve to "Please, please say yes to whatever EA wanted in order to allow you to provide the SE."

Furthermore how do we even know the "blame" must be on EA/Bioware's side? How do we know it isn't like a typical cable provider/network feud and Steam is demanding a larger cut of the profits, and EA told them to go to hell - and to prove they're serious, started pulling major titles from their service.
We don't.
There is a thread on Steam also, in which we voiced our concern. In fact, we sent e-mails to Steam and have a Steam group about this.
Again I am 100% sure DA2 will be on Steam, so that argument goes out the window.

DA2 will be on Steam no questions about it. Steam pretty much represents the PC market. We will see DA2 on Steam in February.
You think we have not been pestering Valve, please go to the Dragon Age section of the Steam forums.

I'm glad to see that you're nitpicking my statement. Of course people don't have to care. I didn't think I needed to specify to that extent.
