I'm so glad I got DA:O about 2 weeks ago (though I'd be even gladder if I knew about the Ultimate Edition at the time :-P ) as I've been beyond addicted since I bought it! Which is why it's pretty awesome I got into in time to get the SE of DA2 and the other promotional items

What I find funny is you want the Signature Edition so order to buy a pig in a poke, but where are the trailers where a warrant for pre-order this edition? until now there were only useless information that a DA trailer is not motivated to buy from DA2.

I'm curious. It's been said that the Signature Edition is the same as Collectors Edition, so does that mean it isn't possible to buy the C.E after 11. January ?

Let's hope it's worth it. I don't have enough money to pre-order by the 11th so I'm scraping up some IOUs to afford this. If the bonus goodies offered in SE turn out to be a major disappointment only to have to flee to a Zimbabwean slum to avoid loan sharks... you know what I'll be thinking? "Why, Bioware? WHY!?" 

I'm just saying.  

Though I'm doubting my dad would summon loan sharks to reclaim his twenty quid.

I just hope that this content doesnt go the way of Dragon Age Origins.

Extra Goodies for launch if your 'special' and then a year later, the Extra Goodies that made your purchase so special, end up as downloadable content on the PS3 Store for £4.99.



If Bioware are saying that this content is EXCLUSIVE to Signature Edition, and cannot be acquired after the 11th, then they should stick with that - I dont wana see this content offered for £5.99 in a years time. (That really annoyed me with Infamous for the PS3 - Collectors Edition = Bonus power, 2-3 months later, the bonus power was available to buy)

So what if it's available for £5.99 in a year?!  YOU  get it for free if you pre-order.  The entire game will be discounted in 18 months. 

If that's your concern, just wait and you can feel good about the low price you paid for everything else. 
(Two nights ago I paid lesss than £7,75 for Mass Effect 2 along with Zaeed - The Price of Revenge, Cerberus Weapon and Armor, Normandy Crash Site, Cerberus Arc Projector, and the Firewalker Pack. Oh, and the Blood Dragon Armour code from DA was already free, of course! )

Has EB Games in Canada already been confirmed as a signature edition retailer? I asked in-store, but the clerk was not familiar with this particular pre-order.

They are feeding you a line.  According to BioWare's official announcement "ALL pre-orders from the retailers (physical and on-line) on the list will be AUTOMATICALLY upgraded to the SE." 

So there is no "running out."  The clerk probably didn't know what s/he's talking about, and just made something up when couldn't find it in the computer, or on the shelf

The pre-order deadline for the SE upgrade is Jan 11, 2011.

Well, January 5th has passed and Steam has yet to offer the signature edition. I am beginning to think that it might not happen on Steam. I'll keep watch as so many others will do, but there are only 6 days left. Deal or No Deal... that is the question.

BioWare has already confirmed (in this thread, even) that the SE will NOT be on Steam.

I thought I wouldn't be getting the signature edition because... I don't know, it would take effort on my part instead of just going to the nearest store and grabbing a copy when it came out? Then I checked my e-mail, and there was an EA mail there that was a) in Dutch and had links to a whole load of possible online stores where I could reserve my copy. So I did, simply to encourage companies like EA to cater to the fact that I am freaking lazy. And because the e-mail was really pretty and informative.

Amazon doesn't sell SE in the UK - I ordered mine from Play. I'm not sure if you pay before shipment. I'm so irresponsible with money, it isn't even funny.
