So... we preorder the normal version from one of the the online retailers mentioned on the site (Play.com) in my case. And we get it upgraded for free or something like that ?

Please. We South Africans(and various other countries) get left out in the cold on a lot of things, like for example XBox Live/Games for Windows Live, which we're only getting this November.

In my previous post I mentioned BTGames apparently having a pre-order bonus. I just noticed that they've labeled the publisher as Take 2, which is sorta like our version of Amazon. So apparently Take 2 also have the bonus on pre-order.



Let's hope it's the Sig. ed. upgrade...

Exactly. I don't know why people are up in arms over this. I'd be willing to bet money the bonus character will be included in all versions of the game as a one-time-use code, just like Shale.

The problem is that we don't know how much was cut. Do we need a Kasumi incident again? We know that stuff is being cut from DA2 now and a lot of us don't like it. It does not matter if you get it free if you pre order it. What if you don't or buy it used? You have to pay for content that should be in the game. That's the problem.

What??But its crappy ...... No cool stuff like the DA : O Collectors Edition like the cloth map ?Or the Comic book of the Mass Effect 2 Collectors and the artbook of course. Come on Bioware this is kinda weak unbelievably lame. :crying:.

I hope people realise this is for EA to get a pre release date sales approximate.

If you don't realise this, I feel really bad for you.

The fact you can't have the CE after a certain date reeks of marketing sleaze.

Exactly- I just find it hard to believe that they created a character specifcally as DLC already and its not one thats been syphoned off from the main game to be used as release day DLC. GIven how the devs keep saying they're working on a much shorter dev cycle and all that,  what irks me is that they're pushing preorders on a game which doesn't have any gameplay footage out yet and just a handful of screenshots. We'll hopefully get something by January, but meh- I just don't like all of this release day DLC mumbo jumbo when it seems as if its not unique content but just stuff being made for the core game getting turned into  paid DLC.
