If Zaeed really was such a great merc, he would set aside any of his personal issues and do the mission.
No that would make him a great proffessional, and if Zaeed were a proffessional I doubt we would have walked in on him pinning a target to the wall and beating the snot out of him. He would have simply caught him, restrained him, and delivered him to his employer. Zaeed's a great merc because he's good at what he does, mainly wrecking other people's s***. I'm sure most employers would prefer he behave like a professional but that's not what they're paying him for. They're paying him to complete a task in a timely manner (presumably). It's not how he get's things done that makes him a great merc it's that he get's things done.
Real world example of what I'm talking about; I worked with a general contractor who'd hired a sub to do the electrical. Now these guys were the most unproffessional pricks I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with, but they were highly reccommended because they did good work, on schedule, and on budget. How they went about doing their job was despicable, but they got it done and done well. Same with Zaeed.
If you want a good merc, someone who'll get the job done no matter what, you take Zaeed Massani. If you want a proffessional, someone who'll do what they're told and keep their personal business out of it, might I reccommend Jacob Taylor.
