I mean its Mass effect 2 all over again simplifying a game and removing any sort of RPG elements. this is the kind of trends i hate.
Mass Effect 1's shooter mechanics were dirt simple. Mass Effect 2's shooter mechanics are much, much "smarter."
These trends people love to cite are not one way streets. Let alone entirely accurate.
Plus what Dave said.

...still, your question reminded me of how Diablo decided what weapons a class is allowed to use and others can't even be equipped, and this sadly DOES remind me a lot of what happened with the warrior class (loss of dual wielding and inability to equip ranged weapons)

this actually is nothing different from how enemies were shown to die in Baldur's Gate on case of either critical damage dealt death, or if enemy HP became less than -10

well based panic however
I too come more and more to dislike what happens to DA2, not everything, but mostly the gameplay changes, the class changes, and what got torn out of the game that was originally part of DA1

Panic and torn, sounds like a band... Or a song? Eh, take your pick.
