I really wonder what kind of future his parents envisioned for their son when they named him Carver. There's Garrett Hawke (at least by default), Bethany and then "Carver". With a name like that, butcher or depraved serial killer are really the only career options the kid could ever hope for.

They probably envisioned him dying early in a video game so as to give Garrett a reason to be tragic and self-deprecating.
