****ATTENTION SPOILER****


When i find Liara and she goes after the Asari specter, you know you have to take down some waves of Shadow broker agents before catching liara whos fighting against the specter, well once i reach that area i see the 1st sequence where Liara and the specter are shooting each other and the specter watch my squad coming, then game freezes in "loading" screen and once it has been loaded Liara is standing in the middle of the square i cant interact with her and the specter stills there at the bottom of the area like in the shooting sequence but evidently she cannot die or can interact with her...what do i do now? i cant continue the adventure and if I try to go back to the previous room the game starts loading each step i make and theres nothing in the previous rooms anyways, what now?

It just crashed for me during the cutscene in the middle of the car chase (after the second truck).

I never saw the car chase, i guess for me it crashes before that, but it doenst matter how many times i try it keeps crashing in the same moment

Well, I got farther. I was well through the surface of the Shadow Broker's ship when it crashed again.

Yes it happen to me ,ever since i install that darn shadow broker ,the game has become un playable,its one crash after another. I was not a large fan of the ME 2 and now this ,all it got was deleted from my computer, And it made it very dificult for me to even consider buying or even playing ME3 when it ever decides to come out.

I just bought this yesterday and it crashes every time as I re-enter the plaza after talking to Liara in the beginning. Windows throws a c0000005 0010f01f error.



Would hope there was an official response as well.



Anyone know where else we might post this issue?

Ok hope this helps out on the Shadow expan. My brother and i kept deleting and reinstalling ME2 to find out where the problem is and what may be causing the clash and crash of ME2 when you install Shadow Broker. to make this story short. when we updated the game we left out the V1.02 patch and only installed the V1.01 ,we cant explain it ,all we know that when we did that, the entire game now plays smoothly and with out glich. I guess there is something in update patch 1.02 that clashes with shadow and causes the game to corrupt. I dont know if they may help all you guys out there,all i know is that my brother and i are now able to play the game with no problem at all.So for now Till the game dev can find out what is wrong with the exp Shadow broker ,its best you dont install it, shadow broker installer has the v1.02 included. I rather not have that darn gliched and super corrupted exp even tho i paid for it. and be able to play the rest of the game with no gliches.My advice for those that dont have it yet,DONT  GET IT  till they fix it.

 I am playing through Steam so I don't know what patches they load. Anyway my main game was fine I just could not play Shadow Broker.
I chatted with EA support and they thought it was a save game issue and asked me to remove the existing ME2 folder from My Documents and try a new game.
I'll have to replay for a while to even get to Illium to see if it works.

Now that is just plain lame and stupid,to delete your game save and lose all your progress,what lame dev gave you that advice, should be fed to the lions, What they should do is fix the darn thing.

Agreed, i payed for a content i cannot play, i had to load a previous save for getting out of the DLC cos i was trapped

 I don't think he ever played the game as he didn't realize that one could not just pop into Illium and try it out.

I haven't played enough yet to get to Illium but will try it. My saved file is on my desktop so I can always put it back in the game. Anyway here is a brief quote as they sent me an email transcript.

Thanks for the help. But too late for me. I bought the DLC yesterday. It crashed as soon I started the cabs chase. I have control over the cab, also I could read Liara instructions but the rest of the screen is black. Try to drive a car blind. A little hard, nevertheless I try a couple of minutes.

As I do no complete the hammerhead mission, today I am going to check if it has someting to do with the driving minigame.

I seems to me that Tessaeva is correct, the problem has something to do with the shadow broker DLC and the latest patch. Until the developers do not fix the problem the only solution is reinstall the game and erase the DLC.

I got the DLC the day it came out & this is a very common issue affecting the majority of players who bought & intalled "Shadow Broker" on good faith; & still no patch or fix and no class action refund...

Has there been any new information with this? I bought the DLC a day after it came out and I still havent had any luck with the black screen on the car chase with new drivers this month.
