I'm hyping this setting up for myself ._.
The Darktown sewer thing makes me nervous. Tell me there are no C.H.U.D down there. I'll feel better.

Varric: "You first, I will, um, be busy back here tucking in my expensive, Antivan jacket."
Bethany: "You're just going to bail on us!"
Varric: "Would I do that to you?" *smirk*
Bethany: "I, oh, very well. Let's pick someone else to be the rogue for this outting."
Varric: "Meet you at the pub when you get back!"

Sigh. More snarky dwarves, just what fantasy doesn't need more of. Hopefully I can sell Varric to slavers and find another dwarf who doesn't have to make up for incompetence with chest hair and swagger.

It's clustered around the harbour apparently, and I assume we're going by ship.

i doubt a noble family would want a scandal like having a family member married to an apostate in templar run city though.

Incompetence? Actually, Varric strikes me more as the kind of guy who always knows exactly what he's doing.

I suppose we shall see. It's possible that Bioware learned from their huge blunder, Oghren. Sigrun sort of suggests it's possible.

This what I'm thinking. The Hawke family will probably go there expecting to get let into better parts of the city, but get stopped at the gate for something or another and find out the mother's family won't be helping them.nightcobra8928 wrote...

I'd like to point out that if you strip Oghren down to his smallclothes, he's as bare as a prepubescent boy. I should know.marshalleck wrote...

... about stripping Oggie down to his smalls, not about prepubescent boys. Felt I should clear that up.

Oh crap, sewer tunnels. I bet my boots there'll be some murderous thing lurking down there, and guess who'll have to take up disinfestation? That's right, us.
Seems like this Lowtown'll be the area we start off in. Maybe a quest about finding a house for the family (assuming we have any left)? Or something about dealing with the local crime organization, I always like those types of assignment.
Also, the first concept art is a thing of beauty<3.
Rats. just like the start of every bad adventure story my grandfather used to tell. /Ser Gilmore.
