Does Kelly Chambers get a hug at any point? Perhaps after almost being liquified?

Kelly can be hugged after the Collector Ship (depends on the selected dialog options). You'd expect to also be able to hug her after the suicide mission, but that's not the case.

But seriously my Shepard doesn't hug. Because he knows that they could just be trying to snap your neck.

gah, I got her last and told her I'd drop her ass in a volcano, we don't have a relationship at all let alone a good one yet I was forced to hug her when I saw her again. Not everyone considers her a soul mate bioware, I just wish I had the option there, it was so ooc for my shepards to do that.

It was a friendly hug, not a romantic one. Liara had recovered Shepards body, saved it and missed him/her. After two years of yearning she finally meets Shepard again and hugs him/her. Is that too much? I think not.

It's obvious Liara cares for Shepard, but it doesn't mean Shepard do the same for Liara. So the hug is too much, it should have been optional.

Personally, my Shepard doesn't care much for Liara. He's just thankful for what she's done.

You must remember ME is a roleplaying and thus certain Shepards are roleplayed different to others.
Eg) My Shepard's personality is loosely based off my own and thus does not do hugs (I have friends that I've known for 5+ years and never hugged)

It should have been optional.
