After playing DA and ME, I decided to go back in time and check out Baldur's Gate 2. I have to say that I'm having so much fun! I forgot all about the D&D games and both the annoyance and joy of having to control most Party's decisions. I now really appreciate DA's Tactics screen and wish there was something like it here.
What mods do you guys recommend - I only just got out of the dungeon. Speaking of mods, any ones that convert a romance into a same-sex one?
So much fun!
I just started playing BG2 for the first time!

BG2Tweaks include romance "cheats" which can remove gender/race requirements.
As for party management, I'm sure it'll turn into just joy at some point, provided you turn the ai scripts off.
As for tactics, I'd say such a thing would be unwelcome, here. There were certain tactics in DA that were foolproof and would never really go wrong, such as only attacking the target of the tank and such. There was also the risk of your characters using tactics and burning through your mana/stamina, leaving that character with no stamina for a taunt or stun when you needed it. The reason I say it would be unwelcome is that healing spells require the healer to be in very close proximity to the recipient, which can put them in harm's way. It's much better to potion and retreat, then let another character take over, manually. As long as you keep track of who's doing what, I'm sure you'll be fine. :>

Thanks for your help guys. The BG2Tweaks looks pretty neat and I'll check out the other two romance mods as well.
