I have to admit that I kind of like this theory, partly because it is similar to some myths from our world but also because it provides an explanation of the secret Maric promise. Having said that I would like to see some hints about the promise. Right now the promise is a bad hanging thread from The Stolen Throne. I may need to wait for DA:3 - All Your Questions Will Be Answered..
When is Gaider going to expound on the fact that Morrigan and Allistair are siblings?

Personally I'd prefer the promise to be something a little more interesting than that.

I would be content with that. I mainly want some resolution of that issue. Hopefully Flemeth's presence in DA:2 will provide some information or clues about the promise.

IIRC, Bioware said they just aren't interested in allowing that kind of romance; that their reason for not allowing doesn't go beyond that (i.e. morality. Because otherwise, why they be okay with allowing the Warden to kill children and participate in sexual pedophilia).Dhiro wrote...
Well, if that's true I can picture some people using it as a argument to enter in Beth's pants.
So, never.
Because sex between consenting adults is the same as murdering and raping children.

I've re-read that section of The Stolen Throne so many times now and I'm still clueless as to what that promise between Maric and Flemeth is all about.
I hope it's a bit more than "Oh look, Morrigan is a Theirin too" or "Oh, it just meant the Blight was coming and gave Maric a reason to help the Grey Wardens in The Calling". On the latter, we know he knew about a coming Blight and when he explained why he knew about it to the Grey Wardens, he was *about* to tell them more but stopped.
Damn you and your secrets, Maric! Such a tease.

If Morrigan was a Theirin I don't think it would make much difference anyway. She's a mage, and a freaky forest witch raised by Flemeth. No threat to the throne what so ever....WAIT! unless Hawke changes things....

Whether this is just a theory or not, I'm just really glad I didn't do the Dark Ritual.
