Did anyone else go Renegade just for the cool scars?

I can't go paragon anymore because I can't get the cool red glowing scars as paragon. Renegade looks the coolest.

That is all.

I did. When I was playing KOTOR and KOTOR:TSL...just doesn't seem like a realistic option in ME universe. Just doesn't make sense that you can only see the adroid eyes if you are bad. If they had done blue glowing eyes to go along with the paragons, maybe I would have bought it more. But I guess that they didn't want you to end up looking like TIM.

After my "realistic" playthrough I went back and played as a Renegade so I could get my Terminator eyesPosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

I think its a goofy gimmick that only fits well with a simplistic morality system.

The scars are horrible and disfiguring. I spent hours trying to make a decent looking Shepard. I can deal with the eyes, but the glowing red Frankenstein scars are just repulsive. My Renegade is always the second playthrough, and I was so glad that I had enough to waste on the Medbay upgrade so I could push people out of windows without turning into something from "Night of the Living Ugly."

I'd love to have the scars, but can't bear being a Renegade, sadly...

No, the scars and glowing eyes are just a nice bonus.

You could always go in and change your files (if you play the PC version that is) so your Shepard will have more renegade points.

I just wish I knew how! :(

I might have pursued this if anyone actually reacted to my scars.

You can look like a cyborg demon and Gianna Parasini apparently still wants to kiss your mutilated cheek.

I like Shepard having some scars, but definitely not that many.

I really like the glowing eyes (constant reminder that Shepard's not entirely human any more without being completely disfiguring) but not the scars. I ended up wearing the helmet whenever possible.

V tangentially related

Actually she kisses you on the non-mutilated cheek.

Though we as players never see anybody else with implants (besides Kasumi and the Illusive Man) the fact that Shepard never comments on their eyes might indicate that implants aren't all that uncommon. In fact I think Ascension might have mentioned this.

I go renegade because I'd rather make the logical decision rather than the one based on people having positive perceptions of me. I'm really too vain for the scars. I do the cosmetic surgery almost every time.

I was thinking the same thing. Half of my playthroughs are renegade, and half of those I get the surgery on. The first time I was literally wondering why they would do that when I spent so much time creating Shepard. It almost feels like a punishment to be a renegade, that I have to look at those weird, red, metallic scars. The med-bay upgrade should have been cheap-what is the reasoning behind making it so expensive?

Doing good deeds make your wounds heal and being bad makes you look like a cyborg apparantly, the cost was to punish renegades who wanted to be "bad" without looking like the terminator.

Yeah makes no sense.

Even with my Renegades I get rid of them ASAP. Add one more thing to the list of silly, needless "improvements"...

I've got the fixer-thingy to fix my face up but I keep the scars. Just in case not fixing them is an import decision for ME3.

The scars are so horrific that it sort of breaks the whole "romance" thing. What woman is going to be okay with a Shepard that has these nasty, infected-looking scars running all over his/her face? I mean, the implants are causing the unhealed scars to fester, so I imagine there's the issue of pus and the smell that generally goes with infection. :P

Yes, this. So much this.

Can anyone get me a picture of scarred renegade Shepard doing the creepy smile thing? I so want a picture of renShep doing the creepy Miranda leer.
