Ok....how negative of an influence does not conscripting Nathaniel (letting him go) and not saving the medic at the beginning of the game have at the endgame? Should I Go back and try to save the medic as well as conscripting Nathaniel? Or will my other compankions be fine without him later on at the sieges? I reallyjust dislike him and do not want him around but I'll recruit him if not having him means losing someone else in battle
Also....why the hell can I hear Oghren speaking at the very beginning of the game saying he wants to join but I cannot see him at all?
awakening...influence + bugs

Do a search on Awakening Bugs now. It will save you hours of re-loads. There are bugs throughout the game that can be avoided with proper pre-emptive action. Ie: stripping all your gear off of your main before entering the Silverite Mines.
Your Oghren problem sounds like you need to uninstall and re-install.
I would not expect any kind of fix for Awakening from EA/BioWare. My bet is they KNOW what a disaster Awakening was, and have abandoned the idea of fixing it. Instead (I hope) they are focusing their efforts on making DA2 great and debugging it so people like me don't just throw up their hands and walk away from the franchise.
I don't believe the Nathaniel or the Medic question you posed amount to anything. Really . . . Awakening decisions are not nearly as meaningful as Origins. The meaningful decisions will be OBVIOUS (like if you don't find the stone mason granite for the Keep walls then your Keep will not fend off assaults as well).
Good luck.

There are actually several fan fixes for most of the bugs in Awakening. Assuming, of course, you're on the PC. If not, well there are work arounds for most of them, like stripping your character before entering the mine or not starting any Amaranthine quests until you have Sigrun.
The three main fixes I use are Silverite Mine, Sigrun's Rogue's Past and Blackblade armor set. If there are other bugs, I haven't come arcoss them in my two play throughs of Awakening.
