Otherwise, totally random question: anything special to do with all these crows? I'm wandering about randomly discovering things and always make a beeline for "friendly" yellow map markers. Half the time, those markers are actually crows out in the wasteland, which fly off when you approach them. I must have run across a good twenty so far. Other than also making me think of "The Stand", do these crows actually mean anything? Like, some hidden easter egg or trophy for finding them all and sending them flying? It just seems like too much of a pattern for it to mean absolutely nothing.

I think they're just to add to the wild life of the game and feel and what not. But yeah, I really can't wait for a mod to remove their map marker. It's incredibly annoying.

They took out the only decent looking presets that allowed me to create a somewhat pretty looking character. Now I'm reduced to fiddling with Moira Brown clones.

Doesn't sound too bad to me ;)

I barely bothered with the character creator. I don't really see the point in a first person game.

My character is not happy after stepping on a landmine.

Hopefully there's a Pinkerton somewhere so I can fix that unfortunate permanent sadface. Curses on FO3's character creation screen.

Meet the new boss, just like the old boss.

I walked outside and met Sunny Smiles, my character's long-lost sister.  There's a crappy fanfic in there somewhere.

It's also third person, y'know.

Might not have known or does like I do and plays it entirely in first person. I might of never known if the zoom in/out was bound to the mouse wheel. Hoping it was for a weapon selection oh well.Hmmmm might need to look into the key bindings or find out if theres a mod for that. Always found it a pain to have to pull up the pipboy to switch weapons.
The new ammo and the quick switch for it is nice but its failing is that it does not mention the type of ammo your using on the hud. Maybe a toggle for that.
Minor things.

I never said you couldn't play in 3rd. I'm not sure why anyone would wont to, but I'm sure some do. Never the less seeing your characters face is still pretty rare.

Anyway, pro tip, if you happen to come across vault 11. DO NOT drop your guard and make sure to make a save once your at the overseers office!

I have been playing more in 3rd this time because the jerky camera wants to give me a migraine.  Also, you want to look awesome in VATS shots.  These things are important.

It seems kinda crashy. Was Fallout 3 that way or is my memory leaking again?

Hey, has anyone been able to fine MF breeder ammo? I haven't and it's kinda annoying me right now, Also where can I buy(if even able) the NCR armored ranger armor (the guy on the covers armor)?

Oh man! Just saw a ME2 reference. Some guys tells you he thought you were dead and you can replay that you "got better."

Hurrah, 3 wins out of 4 caravan games. A winner is me!

Now to look into changing the music of the radio stations, as there's only so much country music I can stomach before I crack. I want the Ink Spots, damnit.

It was.
Sometimes it seems crashing is the main feature of Bethesda's gamebryo engine games.

For me New Vegas is actually faring much better regarding crashing, as I've had none so far in nearly 6 hours of playing. Don't think I've ever managed that in either Morrowind, Oblivion or Fallout 3.

I had to reload once because Miss Smiles got eaten by geckos right in the tutorial.

I can't figure it, movement looks terrible in 3rd person, your charatcer's interaction with the environment is a rumor.

Isn't that a Monty Python reference?

Oh rly?  She sat back and watched most of the time.

I am enjoying hopping up on rocks Oblivion-style.  I don't remember doing that in FO3, is it just me?

How did you manage that? She fared quite well in my game and I´m on max difficulty.

I hate forced localization in games. Already in the character creation (my 2nd favorite after Morrowind) there´s an untranslatable play of words. Dubbing isn´t bad, save for using too known voices.

Meh, I think I was like 6 last time I watching anything having to do with Monty Python and I'm keeping it that way, as I'm pretty sure I'll find nothing about it funny now.

Beware, fledgling adventurers and wannabe wastelanders, for it is very much possible to run into giant radscorpions and even *gasp* deathclaws at level 3 at a few stone throws away from the starting town.

I'm loving this game.

Just stay with doing the quests and walk the road for the first few levels before wondering off on your own, and you wont run into anything too crazy.

It's pretty obvious where the deathclaws are.

I tagged sneak & have decent perception, so it's not hard to stay unnoticed from the giant radscorpions and bail out. Those things run so fast that it's impossible to get away if they spot you unless you get them stuck on a rock.
