Most of the people here probably have all these already and i dunno if someone has done this earlier, but i scribbled down some rough instructions and details on Unique Weapons. I don't know how many there are in game, but i have 35 here. Anyway, you should just skip this post if you aren't interested in them or anything, it will be quite long though.
If i get any of this stuff wrong then, sorry, but, i think most of it is accurate. If it's wrong i doubt it's far off.
And the numbers are in no particular order...
I'm not great at describing locations either unless i can find a good marker in the roads that run across the map to point compass directions off of. All of these have locations, but might not tell you where they are if you haven't discovered them. I forget EXACTLY where most of them are too...so i can point you to a marker, but you might need to find and search that marker.
And when i say North, i mean "If you look at your map and the arrow points towards the top of the screen." kind of directions.
Sorry i don't have weights or damage ratings.
#1: Ratslayer
Skill: Guns.
Rough Weapon Description: Basically a better, scoped Varmint Rifle.
Ammo: 5.56mm
Location: Broc Flower Cave
Extra: It's proped up against a desk in Broc Flower Cave, you should see it no bother. The cave is full of "Unusually Sized Rats" (or something) which are basically bigger Giant Rats.
#2: Figaro
Skill: Melee Weapons.
Rough Weapon Description: It's just a straight razor with a name.
Ammo: None.
Location: The King's School Of Impersonation, on a man named Sergio.
Extra: I'm pretty sure you have to kill Sergio to get this, which will sent the entire King's Gang on you. It really isn't worth it for Figaro, unless your a psychopathic collector
#3: Golden Gloves
Skill: Unarmed.
Rough Weapon Description: They're Golden Boxing Gloves. Not really effective, but look pretty cool.
Ammo: None.
Location: The Lucky 38, Casino Floor. As you enter go left and over towards the VIP Lounge (the upstairs part over there). Left of the actual "VIP Lounge" sign there is a cabinet-thingie, and on the top shelf is where the Golden Gloves sit. With a copy of Boxing Times behind it.
Extra: Like all Boxing Gloves they damage fatigue. That's about it really.
#4: Euclid's C-Finder
Skill: None.
Rough Weapon Description: It looks like a toy, but if there's any proof that looks can be decieving, it's this.
Ammo: Will explain in the "Extra" part.
Location: Just outside Mick and Ralph's there is a kid called Max running around. You can buy it from him for 1000 caps, or use Barter skill to get it cheap.
Extra: Don't bother with this weapon until you do the "That Lucky Old Sun" sidequest at Helios One. You need to ARM THE ARCHIMEDES WEAPON for this to do anything. Once you've done that, and aquired the gun, you can use the Satiellete Laser. I believe you can only have 1 ammo for it, and each day (if you've used it) you'll be given a new power cell for it at Sunlight Peak time. THIS IS THE ORBITAL LASER, IT IS THE WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION, YOU TOTALLY WANT THIS.
#5: Recompense of The Fallen
Skill: Unarmed.
Rough Weapon Description: Dog tags tied to your fists. Surprisingly effective.
Ammo: None.
Location: Cottonwood Cove, Aurelis Of Phoenix's Office.
Extra: If the Legion don't like you, you're in for a fight to get these. If you want them, follow the story until you have to go to Cottonwood anyway, unless you're on good terms with the Legion and can just waltz in there.
#6: Q-35 Matter Modulator
Skill: Energy Weapons.
Rough Weapon Description: It just looks like an Ordinary Plasma Rifle.
Ammo: Microfusion Cells
Location: REPCONN HQ, Ground Floor, 75-100 Lockpick/Science Skill Required.
Extra: If you go to REPCONN HQ, do it during the day, the bots just ignore you on the ground floor. If you have Science skill hack the terminal just to your right. Go to the Terminal just in there and Scan your face into the network, it'll keep you safe from bot attack. If not talk to the Tour Guide to get him to open all the doors for you. You have to wait on him giving the tour, but if you can't pick the locks yourself you have no choice. Anyway, once he gets the the Space Exhibit room, go over to the door on the left side, go through, up the stairs, turn around, across from you there is a control panel and a skeleton, approach them and you should see a big red card. Take it. Now go back to that terminal and open it with the card. I think the card MIGHT let you add your facial scan to avoid the bots, but i'm not sure. If you have Science skills you can just go left and hack the terminal there (I think it's 100 Science though) and go through. Then straight ahead you should see a safe with lots of MF Cells on top. They're good if you want them, but the Q-35 if to your left, floating a red...beam...thing...you can just grab it though. If you don't have Science skills, there's a door upstairs somewhere that you can lockpick to get through. I dunno where it is though. If for any reason you need to go upstairs, the card will get you "Temporary Access", i don't know how long that lasts, since i've never exceeded it myself, but the facial scan and card will give you unlimited access to the second floor. Don't go to the third without 7 luck though. Or you get forced back down 30 seconds after a bot talks to you, or they open fire. Good luck with finding that door if you have too.
#7: Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle
Skill: Guns.
Rough Weapon Description: It's a sniper rifle. If you ever got the "Victory Rifle" in FO3, it's basically the same as that.
Ammo: .308
Location: Sniper's Nest, it's kinda south of Camp Forlorn Hope. It's locked in a 100 Lockpick Skill Footlocker though. The Victory Rifle in FO3 was locked in a 100 Lockpick Skill Locker. They really are the same.
Extra: If you can get it, the cliff edges by Sniper's Nest make great camping spots to try it out on the Caesar's Legion down at Cottonwood Cove.
#8: Lucky
Skill: Guns.
Rough Weapon Description: It's a black (i think) 357. Magnum.
Ammo: .357 Mag.
Location: Bison Steve Hotel, Lockpick Skill 75 Required.
Extra: It's in a Floor Safe on the bottom floor, behind a counter. Just have a poke around when the Cons are gone.
#9: Nephis' Golf Driver
Skill: Melee Weapons.
Rough Weapon Description: It's a golf club.
Ammo: None.
Location: A Fiend called "Driver Nephi" has it. He's South West Of McCarran.
Extra: Look around McCarran, i forgot the name, but maybe someone in this thread can tell you, but a person there asks you to go collect some Fiend heads. Driver Nephi is one of those heads, and you can enlist the First Recon Troops to help you. Since this guy is an expert at closing in and clubbing your head clean off, luring him into a sharpshooters scope is a good option.
#10: AER14 Prototype
Skill: Energy Weapons.
Rough Weapon Description: It's a Laser Rifle that shoots green lasers (and no, i don't mean a plasma rifle)
Ammo: Microfusion Cells
Location: Vault 22.
Extra: Even if you get the Elevator Working, go to the Fourth Floor, and make your way down to the Fifth by foot , on the stairs you should see skeleton, next to it the AER.
#11: Oh, Baby!
Skill: Melee Weapons.
Rough Weapon Description: Easily the best Melee weapon in the game, and it's a Supa' Sledge.
Ammo: None.
Location: Charleston Cave, near Jacobstown.
Extra: If you do the Quest to help Doctor Henry (Jacobstown) cure Nightkin Schitzophrenia, you find a Nightkin Corpse with a "Chewed Stealthboy" quest item. Next to it, lies "Oh, Baby!". Watch out for those Cloaked Nightstalkers, talked ED-E so you can detect them easy.
#12: Mysterious Magnum
Skill: Guns.
Rough Weapon Description: It's basically a better 44. Magnum.
Ammo: 44. Mag.
Location: The Lonesome Wanderer has it.
Extra: He lives in front of a Sunset Sarsaprilla Billboard, in a little camp. Walk the road from Novac to Boulder CIty and keep and eye on your right. You'll see him. You might be able to pick pocket him, but i think you need to kill him.
#13: Big Boomer
Skill: Guns.
Rough Weapon Description: It's basically a better Sawn-Off Shotgun.
Ammo: 12ga.
Location: Old Lady Gibson, in Gibson Scrap Yard has it.
Extra: If you walk from Novac towards the visible tower of Helios One, you should see her scrapyard, she lives in the building outside the fencing. ED-E's mission will also take you straight to her. I think you need to kill her for it, watch out, she has like 7 guard dogs.
#14: Alien Blaster
Skill: Energy Weapons.
Rough Weapon Description: It's an Alien weapon you could find in Fallout 3, an energy pistol that does bucket-loads of damage.
Ammo: Special limited ammo. I'll tell you more about it in a second.
Location: On the road that goes from Vegas up towards Jacobstown, there is a point where one path forks into too, head to this point and head straight north.
Extra: You must have selected the "Wild Wasteland Trait" to get this. Not having it means you get a Unique Gauss Rifle. It's mentioned later.
#15: Thump-Thump
Skill: Explosives.
Rough Weapon Description: Ever played CoD6? It's the Thumper from that. If not, it looks kinda like a shotgun, but only just.
Ammo: 40mm Grenade
Location: Inside the Nellis Array.
Extra: This requires you get past the Boomer's artillery in one piece...when you do that you get a Quest to help the Boomers out. Talk to Raquell and do her "Ant Misbehavin'" Quest. You have to turn on two generators, To the left of them there are two blown out black generator thingies, with a skeleton in the middle. Thump-Thump is next to that Skeleton.
#16: Tesla-Beaton Prototype
Skill: Energy Weapons.
Rough Weapon Description: It's really easy to see, it's in an isolated area.
Ammo: Electron Charge Pack
Location: Crashed Vertabird location in the south, you can't miss the Prototype when you get there.
Extra: Watch out, because alot of robots crowd this position sometimes, and there is a Nuclear Test site near by with a SWARM of ghouls. You can make them attack each other, and pick off the winners while they're weak, but be careful, you could just end up with double enemies if you do it wrong.
#17: Vance's Submachine Gun
Skill: Guns.
Rough Weapon Description: It's nothing special. 9mm SMG.
Ammo: 9mm.
Location: It's an unmarked location called "Win's Hideout", if you find a "-something- Pawns" (pawn shop) and then look on your map, the Pawn Shop is in a sort of block of four squares in a square. The Hideout is in the Top Right Square, if you can get that.
Extra: Nothing.
#18: CZ57 AvengerSkill: Whatever Miniguns come under, i don't use them.
Rough Weapon Description: White and Red Minigun.
Ammo: 5mm
Location: Devil's Throat, Inside a Truck in it, you can't miss it.
Extra: There are alot of leveled Centaurs down there, and some radiation, but nothing serious.
#19: All American
Skill: Guns.
Rough Weapon Description: It's pretty much a Scoped Assault Carbine, that used 5.56mm instead of 5mm
Ammo: 5.56mm
Location: Vault 34 Armoury.
Extra: Vault 34 is overrun with Ghoulified Vault Dwellers who've went Feral. And it's confusing, i had to quit out before i got to open the army or i'd die of Rad poisoning, but then again, i seriously hate Vaults, and I seriously hate Ferals, especially Glowing Ones/Reavers, those things don't make me want to explore.
#20: Pulse Gun
Skill: Energy Weapons.
Rough Weapon Description: It's completely unique, and usable in Veronica's Quest to change the Brotherhood's views.
Ammo: Energy Cells
Location: Vault 34 Armoury.
Extra: It's in a "Very Hard" footlocker. 100 Lockpick skill needed. Also it does EMP damage against Robots and Power Armour, other than that it's useless.
#21: Chance's Knife
Skill: Melee Weapons
Rough Weapon Descripton: It's a knife...really all there is to say about it...
Ammo: None.
Location: A grave South West of "Tribal Village".
Extra: If you want it you're gonna need a shovel.
#22: Pushy
Skill: Unarmed
Rough Weapon Description: A very powerful displacer gauntlet.
Ammo: None
Location: Ruby Hill Mine, near the smaller road going through the hills towards Jacobstown. On a Jackel Gang corpse.
Extra: When you kill something it tosses them like peebles.
#23: Holy Hand Grenade
Skill: Explosives
Rough Weapon Description: They look like basic Frags, there are only three though, and they're easily the heaviest ordinance you can get.
Ammo: Only three of them exist.
Location: Camp Searchlight, Eastern Chruch.
Extra: Searchlight is overrun with Ghouls, and gives you 1 radiation per second everywhere in it. Be careful.
#24: Love & Hate
Skill: Unarmed
Rough Weapon Description: Spiked Brass Knuckles
Ammo: None
Location: A Viper Leader who stays roughly South-South-West of the Posideon Gas Station has them.
Extra: They seem to make heads explode no matter where you hit.
#25: Cram Opener
Skill: Unarmed
Rough Weapon Description: A bladed gauntlet, a bit extra 'edge' on it though
Ammo: None
Location: A man in McCarran Camp called "Little Buster" has it.
Extra: You'll need to kill Buster to get it, it's a fine weapon, but it defiantely isn't worth setting all of the soldiers in McCarran on you. Unless you can do it without alerting them, don't do it at all. Unless you WANT to ****** off the NCR and think you can take 'em.
#26: Paladin Toaster
Skill: Unarmed
Rough Weapon Description: A displacer gauntlet style weapon that emits electrical shock effects rather than displacement.
Ammo: None
Location: Black Rock Cove/Cave (I can't see if put an A or an O on my scribbled notes there, lol), there's a dead prospector somewhere down there. Find 'em, and the Paladin Toaster is right next to their corpse.
Extra: I can't say for sure but since Paladins wear power armour, and this lets out shocks, i think it has some kind of EMP effect.
#27: Liberator
Skill: Melee Weapons
Rough Weapon Description: It's a slightly better machete.
Ammo: None
Location: Kill "Dead Sea" (a Legionaire) in Nelson, and it's all yours when you loot his body.
Extra: Nothing.
#28: Maria
Skill: Guns.
Rough Weapon Description: A White, decorated 9mm pistol.
Ammo: 9mm
Location: Kill Benny (preferably in the Tops, nice 'n' easy), and loot his body.
Extra: Don't try to kill bigger thing's with it, it can kill Humans, non-feral Ghouls and Vermin easily, but anything bigger than a Cazador and you'll be struggling.
#29: La Longue Carabine
Skill: Guns
Rough Weapon Description: It's pretty much a better Lever-Action Rifle
Ammo: 357. Mag
Location: Camp McCarran, Corporal Sterling has it. You'll have to kill him for it.
Extra: Like "Little Buster" and the "Cram Opener" killing Sterling is gonna set all of McCarran on you, and since he hangs around with his First Recon Buddies, they'll be the first you have to fight this time. Unless you want to ****** off the Republic, and are ready for a hell of a fight, don't do it.
#30: Ranger Sequioa (possible spelling fail)
Skill: Guns.
Rough Weapon Description: It's some Rangers super long revolver. Kinda like a Magnum, but unique looking.
Ammo: 45-70 Gov't
Location: Camp Golf, Cheif Hanlon has it.
Extra: Same as "Cram Opener" and "La Longue Carabine". You need to kill to get this one, and it's likely you'll set everyone in Camp Golf on you, and if you survive, the NCR will really hate you.
#31: That Gun
Skill: Guns
Rough Weapon Description: A very unique pistol, very fast reload.
Ammo: 5.56mm
Location: Novac, Dinky The Dinosaur Shop. Cliff Briscoe sells it.
Extra: If you're a lockpicker you can steal "That Gun" from the room on the right when you enter. Wait until night, Cliff, Manny Vargas, and Craig Boone are the only ones who go there, and none of them will be looking at you aslong as you don't do it when Boone is changing shifts with Manny or anything.
#32: Blade Of The East
Skill: Melee Weapons
Rough Weapon Description: It's a pretty Bumper Sword with some nice effects.
Ammo: None
Location: Kill "Legate Lanius" for it. I dunno if you can do that before the end sequence though, and if you can't you'll only have that blade for about 5 minutes.
Extra: Nothing.
#33: Mercy
Skill: Explosives
Rough Weapon Description: It's a greande launcer that fires them like a machine gun.
Ammo: 40mm Grenades
Location: In Dead Wind Cavern, with the Legendary Deathclaw.
Extra: If you wanna kill the Legendary Deathclaw at a lower level, your best chance is a high explosives skill, and use one of the Holy Hand Grenades from Camp Searchlight. I mentioned them earlier.
#34: Knock Knock
Skill: Melee Weapons
Rough Weapon Description: It's a Silver Fireman's Axe. Does some decent damage, and looks pretty aristocratic too.
Ammo: None.
Location: Camp Searchlight, Firehouse Restrooms.
Extra: If you want into the Firehouse you need to find a Prospector called Logan, and aquire the key the way you aquire things best, Anyway once you have it and go in, you'll have to fight a Radscorpion Queen. This thing might look big, but it's showmanship is sharper than it's sting. It goes down easy with a few hard hits. Veronica and her punching glove or Lily and her Vertabird Blade should do the trick.
#35: YSC/186
Skill: Energy Weapons
Rough Weapon Description: It's a special, extra-power Gauss Rifle.
Ammo: Microfusion Cells
Location: Same place as the Alien Blaster, but to get this you cannot have the "Wild Wasteland Trait". If you need your memory of that place jogged, then on the North Western road from Vegas to Jacobstown, there's a point where the road going out forks into two. Go to that point, and head directly north.
Extra: You have to kill a few Sci-Fi looking Mercs to get this.
