Ok, I heard Duncan's VA- the doctor in Jacobstown, the one who does the experiment on Lily.

Really?  I'll have to go back and listen to him again.

Well I'm in a bit of a bad situation in vault 34. I'm playing on Hardcore mode and on Very Hard. Health is low, stimpacks are running low and I have a radiation count. I have Raul at my side and he gets in my line of fire A LOT. It's not like I'm running low on ammunition or anything, I have so many MF cells. If I could just sleep in a bed, everything would be alright. Not that simple. There is an invisible, non-existent enemy that prevents that. Gotta love gltiches.

Does Fallout New Vegas have as many... uh... low intelligence conversations as Fallout 1 and 2? Why I ask? There is a new intelligence-based conversation feature in the GECK.

IF I am remembering right 34 is the plant vault right? If so the the stalkers (green humanoid things) and some of the mantis hide out in the plant growth around the vault. You can literally run right over them and they sometimes wont get up untill a certain trigger is tripped. Like moving into a room/hallway, opening door, flipping a switch, accessing a terminal, etc etc etc. They are hard to see but if your on top of the the reticle should change.
At least that was my experiance.

Also something to remember (not only for fallout) is to creat a entirely seperate save before entering into any building, cave, vault, dungeoun, donout shop and so on. That way if you do hit a wall and cant progress you can hop back to that point and most likely save yourself a lot of hours.

^Vault 22 is the plant vault. Vault 34 is the irradiated one.

I already ran into the Legendary cazador & deathclaw, but the game still managed to spring a surprise on me:

Just finished the game siding with the NCR. I was pretty disappointed to tell the truth. It felt kind of rushed and some random things started to happen. Maybe other endings will be better.

My next play through will most like being trying to get threw the main quests without ever pulling a trigger. I get the feeling it isn't going to work out however.

Egg on my face. Kinda hard to keep all the vaults we have traveled into in line.

I think that radscorp queen would be the only legendary beast I have stumbled across. It melted real quick with the thermic lance.

Of course I have still been tromping about the countryside exploring everything. Havent done the casino faction quests or even been to the LEgions Fort.

Does that mean melee?  LOL  I would think a melee character would have it pretty tough with all the poisonous beasties and grouped-up deathclaws.

No I mean not attacking anyone. Unless it's a Sand Man kill or something fun like that. And Animal Friend Perk should help with beast and stuff. And I'm not really planning on wondering the entire map again. Just sticking to the main quest for the most part. Again, not sure how well it will work out, but should be fun trying it, lol.

Did anyone else get this glitch? during the end boss battle, the backpack on my gatling laser cloned itself every time I got hit, and kept building up, even when I loaded.

Holy god, vault 34. It also isn't a Fallout game until you've been round and round a vault's corridors so many times, trying to find the one damn door you missed. With rad poisoning just to make you feel that much cozier.

Anyone else feel really sad about what Mr. House did to vault 21? So many vaults fail, and for good reason I guess, but 21 seemed find. =(

After returning from my trip I finally got V34 and my main hangul up the clinc and that it was a pass through. I kept thinking was back in the same place no matter which entrance I went into/out of.

I want a quest to find the guy who did the Map UI on the Pip Boy so I can kill him.

Just finished the game going NCR route. Overall I enjoyed the game and I'll probably play again in a day or so and try another faction.

Also gonna go for a more melee route I want the Steam achievement after seeing the "Six-String Samurai" reference. :)

^^Same here, Crippledcarny.

Also a friend told me that if I DON'T side with the legion, that I will get owned by this Legate 100 times over. I'm playing on Very Hard and I HATE the legion so what am I up against?

The only problem i have with new vegas is how often it crashes, in its defense it is a pretty massive game with all kinds of stuff going on at once so the occasional restarting of my xbox isn't a real big deal. As far as story and mission variety go it is a great game...just not mass effect good

Cass has become my second favourite companion after Veronica. Give her a .44 magnum or hunting rifle (preferably This Machine) and she's at least as good as Boone, but with a badass attitude instead of the doom & gloom.

I'm trying to get back to the armory and finally gave up last night.  I recall going in circles in the Gary vault, too.  And yeah, Pip Boy is no help whatsoever and we're low on Rad-Away so I might have to skip the lootz.

I've used rad meds much more in this game than FO3, which is funny since it didn't get many direct hits.  But in the places where there are rads, it's a constant tick-tick-tickity as Three Dog would say.

But he's so sexy.   I'm going to have to make a male character to recruit the chicks.  Why do we get two chicks and only one cute guy?

Oh, and the Spotter perk is pretty great.
