Ok, I heard Duncan's VA- the doctor in Jacobstown, the one who does the experiment on Lily.
Really? I'll have to go back and listen to him again.

I cant go in that building for long because the alarm blares constantly even though all the bots know me and there isn't a switch off button

Well I'm in a bit of a bad situation in vault 34. I'm playing on Hardcore mode and on Very Hard. Health is low, stimpacks are running low and I have a radiation count. I have Raul at my side and he gets in my line of fire A LOT. It's not like I'm running low on ammunition or anything, I have so many MF cells. If I could just sleep in a bed, everything would be alright. Not that simple. There is an invisible, non-existent enemy that prevents that. Gotta love gltiches.
IF I am remembering right 34 is the plant vault right? If so the the stalkers (green humanoid things) and some of the mantis hide out in the plant growth around the vault. You can literally run right over them and they sometimes wont get up untill a certain trigger is tripped. Like moving into a room/hallway, opening door, flipping a switch, accessing a terminal, etc etc etc. They are hard to see but if your on top of the the reticle should change.
At least that was my experiance.
Also something to remember (not only for fallout) is to creat a entirely seperate save before entering into any building, cave, vault, dungeoun, donout shop and so on. That way if you do hit a wall and cant progress you can hop back to that point and most likely save yourself a lot of hours.

I already ran into the Legendary cazador & deathclaw, but the game still managed to spring a surprise on me:

My next play through will most like being trying to get threw the main quests without ever pulling a trigger. I get the feeling it isn't going to work out however.

Egg on my face. Kinda hard to keep all the vaults we have traveled into in line.
I think that radscorp queen would be the only legendary beast I have stumbled across. It melted real quick with the thermic lance.
Of course I have still been tromping about the countryside exploring everything. Havent done the casino faction quests or even been to the LEgions Fort.

Does that mean melee? LOL I would think a melee character would have it pretty tough with all the poisonous beasties and grouped-up deathclaws.Crippledcarny wrote...

Holy god, vault 34. It also isn't a Fallout game until you've been round and round a vault's corridors so many times, trying to find the one damn door you missed. With rad poisoning just to make you feel that much cozier.
After returning from my trip I finally got V34 and my main hangul up the clinc and that it was a pass through. I kept thinking was back in the same place no matter which entrance I went into/out of.
I want a quest to find the guy who did the Map UI on the Pip Boy so I can kill him.

Also a friend told me that if I DON'T side with the legion, that I will get owned by this Legate 100 times over. I'm playing on Very Hard and I HATE the legion so what am I up against?

I'm trying to get back to the armory and finally gave up last night. I recall going in circles in the Gary vault, too. And yeah, Pip Boy is no help whatsoever and we're low on Rad-Away so I might have to skip the lootz.Sidney wrote...

I've used rad meds much more in this game than FO3, which is funny since it didn't get many direct hits. But in the places where there are rads, it's a constant tick-tick-tickity as Three Dog would say.

Cass has become my second favourite companion after Veronica. Give her a .44 magnum or hunting rifle (preferably This Machine) and she's at least as good as Boone, but with a badass attitude instead of the doom & gloom.
Oh, and the Spotter perk is pretty great.

Why do we get two chicks and only one cute guy?
