It's me, Veronica and ED-E, and together we form...TEAM TIN CAN.
Normally I wear the T51b and not the T45d though as shown here. And even then, I find the power armour in FO3 and NV so disappointing really. Stat-wise that is, as it does look very bad-arse, which is the main reason I wear it.
The basic power armour from FO1 and 2 (the T51b) gives you +3 to strength instead of +1 and 30 rad resistance instead of 25. The updated Enclave advanced power armour gives +4 to strength and a *very* nice 75 rad resistance, while in the current games you can argue that it's actually less good than other power armour (plus it has weird shoulder pads!).

A night out in town with the boys!
Nothing like going for some gambling in a casino, only to break the bank and get banned from any further gambling. Thank you naughty nightwear for raising my luck from 8 to 9 and thus giving me ridiculously good cards in blackjack time after time after time.

I've actually started simply paying for my repairs instead of doing it myself (jury rigging, hooooooo!).
Anyways, bobdamnit for the 12.7mm ammo being so rare, even rarer than the .45-70 gov't ammo, and that mostly because I got the one guy who did carry a lot of it locked up.
And I wanted to switch to the 12.7mm pistol for my sidearm of choice too.

I have to worry about food and water and I waste a LOT of ammo due to Very Hard enemy bullet sponges. What's your source of making money?Morbo wrote...
Doesn't really bother me much. I've got more money than I know what to do with now that I've no real need for spending it on anything anymore. Got all the weapons and armour I need/want, and bought all the implants that I could get.

So nothing special really. I find that the game is very generous when it comes to caps.
Edit:
Do you create your own ammo btw? I rarely bother but I guess I could make a difference if you did. Recycle all the ammo you don't use and use it to make tons of new and useful types.

Yes, I do. I mass large of amounts lead, primers and cases/depleted cells. I haven't found the brush gun or an anti-matter rifle yet (And I'm Lvl 15) yet so it's mostly ammo for my All American, Cowboy repeater, AER, and assault carbine. My best conserving gun against unarmored/lightly armored humans is the 10mm with a laser sight and extended mags so I buy from a vendor who carries like 120 rounds on him/her. I wish the ammo-making system was in Fallout 3 so I could make mini nukes for my Experimental MIRV. Is there anything like the EMIRV in FNV?Morbo wrote...
Uhhhhh....quests, the occasional gambling spree, rigorous exploring and looting (even found a chest with 7500 caps somewhere), and then selling the vast majority of the loot to the Gun Runners store with its 8000 caps available.

Is there another version of these besides the ones you buy at Gun Runners? I bought the Brush Gun (STR not high enough for the other) but ended up reloading because I just don't need it. On Easy, anyway, the Ratslayer kills any and all.LegendaryAvenger wrote...

Yeah I agree, the radio is lackluster. Does he ever even talk about your exploits like Three Dog did? I stopped listening. It's kind of funny to go into shacks or stores and hear the old-time country music playing. Feels like when we were on vacation in Texas. LOLFunkcase wrote...
I'm lovng New Vegas, although I think Fallout 3 did a much better job with the radio stations, but New Vegas improved on just about everything else, More quests, more choices, better combat, better fleshed out characters, companions, ect. There is so much, now I hope Obsidian release another patch to fix some more of the bugs, the crashing is the worst.

In a round-about way, Mr. New Vegas does. I made Meyer the sheriff of Primm and they have a short radio interview with him as he's sworn in. They interview No-Bark in Novac about a rumor of ghouls in rocket ships flying overhead. And after doing Boone's second quest (I Forgot to Remember to Forget), they have an interview with a Bitter Springs refugee who describes the two rescuers... "and he had a .308 caliber flaming sword of justice with a telescopic lens."
Pretty funny stuff. But I did prefer Three Dog's delivery.

The ambient sounds are more interesting in this one. They can be quite creepy, like the music that sounds like an air raid siren is going off, which nicely sets the whole post-apocalyptic feel.

I like the songs played much better.
I'm really addicted to "Marty Robbins - Big Iron", "Peggy Lee(?) - Why Don't You Do Right?" and one other one I don't know the name of, no singing, just music, and it's constantly played on the area with Gommarah and The Lucky 38.
But then, Mr. New Vegas always seems so quiet, even with the volume up, if i put that up to high though, gunfire sounds will shake the walls down. And he doesn't really talk about much until later in the game, if you listen to him at the start, you mostly get "Courier is alive and well", "Strange figures in Hidden Valley sandstorms", "Primm's new sheriff", "Niptown burned by Legion".
It goes over and over them until you reach Boulder City, unless you do "That Lucky Old Sun" or "Come Fly With Me" in Novac.

I already beat the game before seeing that picture and saw the scene in which it pertains too.
Still, Fallout New Vegas is a huge game and there are probably lots of cool things I have yet to see so I'll tread carefully.

I remember a bunch of people who spoiled a lot of Mass Effect 2 for me 5 days before the game came out.Busomjack wrote...
I remember a lot of people, including me were spoiled before Fallout 3 came out thanks to pirates posting information about the game all over the place weeks before the game came out.(yet another benefit piracy brings to the industry, ruining the experience for legitimate consumers.)
