ugh. Nude mods... There was a mod/addon for Fallout 3 that made your character really overpowered. It's called Mothership Zeta.Crippledcarny wrote...
I picked up a hair mod. But from what I've seen most of the mods out there are just nude models and stuff that breaks the game and makes your character really over powered. (At least more powerful than I think you should be.)

A month or two should start seeing some really good ones.
Still remember the mod from Fallout 3 that added 19th and 20th century weaponry to the game and really expanded the fighting, plus the enemies got these guns also so it was all balanced (well to a point it got pretty ugly when you ran into some super mutants with weapons that could fire off 50 rounds a seconds and rip you a new one) but it was still fun.

One thing its made me realise though. When hearing DA2 was shorter than DA:O i mentally ****ed about game time. I always want more game time. But a game as epic as this, which will likely take me around 60 hours to complete at least... its too much! I know thats ungrateful lol

Apparently, mods disable your achievements. They took some measures to make sure achievements are awarded legitimately.

True, when I played FO3 on very hard, dogmeat was all but invincible.Taritu wrote...
Better than FO3 and i got a lot of play out of that game. Companions are better now too (I hated them in FO3, either OP or useless), though they have some issues (Rex runs off and gets himself killed regularly, even on passive.) Some crashes and I have a top of the line, less than a month old system. Haven't played it on anything but hardcore, from FO3 playing it on normal would be too easy because of the instantaneous stimpacks (otoh, ammunition weight really makes me a sad panda.)

Yup, and who wouldn't mod their game? Plus why did they remove the Games for windows achievements from the steam version? I wanted to get some gamerscore.Crippledcarny wrote...

The only problem I have with beauty mods is that most of them make the characters look like Japanese anime characters.

I've got 2 mods installed, one to fix Veronica not leveling up as you do, and one to help Raul's quest get triggered, and achievements still work fine.
What will disable achievements is using the console in any way, even if, for example, it's just a quick "tcl" when you get stuck due to some silly bug.

As for that spoiler...I can't remember finding any stealthboys there. I had plenty with me from other sources when I went there, but the escape thing was pretty bugged for me and I never got it to work.

I ran into Kris Kristofferson last night!
Getting close to the end game and it feels a little flat to me. The faction affiliations are interesting, but there's no way to roleplay out who the Courier actually is. Either you're not from the Vegas area or you've got amnesia, otherwise you already would be affiliated with somebody I think. It would have been more interesting to make you choose a background straight away, similar to the origin story in Origins. People say the writing is better in FNV over FO3, but I don't see it. The voice acting is better, but still, half the NCR males or more are voiced by the same guy.
I am, however, going to attempt to make Cook-Cook's Fiend Stew this weekend.

I will do a pro-Legion character one time, but I don't like them at all, so it might take a while.
Besides Boone, Cass and Arcade hate you if you work with the Legion don't they?
Right now, I'm doing the NCR story, trying to Unite as many people as possible.
I was further in it, but i had to re-make my character because I took Karl's Journal in the Great Khan camp before talking to Regis. DAMN YOU BUG, DAMN YOU!!
As a substitute I used the Helios One glitch to make my character have about 600 Stimpaks and make him Level 30. I sold most of the Stimpaks to get my caps back then dumped them so I only had 54, seeing as that was ROUGHLY where my last character was at when it bugged.

I tried but gave up. If my stealth had been higher, I would have tried to pickpocket the guards so they didn't have weapons. It still would have been tough to make it out of the camp. I ended up fighting him in the arena. I had no points in melee so I thought it was more than fair considering the guy put a bullet in my PC's head.LegendaryAvenger wrote...
