 Yeah, I was going to mention the 'console controls' for PC, but that hardly dampens the issue.

 
 So three hours later and I got the Caravan Master achievement!  I don't think it would of taken more than a hour had my controler been working properly, but nevertheless I battled through it.

 I can't say as I really understand the full concept of the game, other than my dumbed down comprehension of it. My strategy was simple; Just use Kings and Jacks to keep the opponent from achieving the between 21 and 26 stack totals all the while trying to reach the alloted numbers in my stacks.

 I don't think the game is really to bad, just a mind numbing headache while playing with a 'used' controler (and no d-pad functionality).


 EDIT: 1000 for 1000 on it, now I can create a new playthrough and enjoy the game....................

^ Wow congrats on the 1000!  I am nowhere near getting them all, even though I know I've put in an embarrassingly high number of hours so far.  Haven't even finished my first play-through.  I did attempt caravan for the first time today.  Got the 3 wins cheev - I kind of think I get it now.  I am not looking forward to Caravan Master, though.  For some reason, I thought it was "play 30 games of caravan" ... not "30 wins."  That's a whole different story.  I will have to be in a patient mood to sit through that.  Ugh!  It really is painfully awkward to use the controller.

I <3 ED-E!  His combat music is hilarious and his little chirps are so.... comforting.  It's funny that I used to use Enclave eyebots for target practice in FO3 but now he's ED-E my love!

 I haven't the answer to question two, but as far as the Anti-Material rifle for Boone, I'd say no. The regular sniper rifle seems to be best for him being it has a higher fire rate and better mods. Now of course he needs a strength modifier for some reason to equip the gun, such as power armor.

 The best armor he can recieve in my opinion is his First Recon Armor recieved after finishing his companion quest. Also, along the way in completing his quest you'll run across the Gobi Sniper Rifle, which is by far the best for him to use. I'm not sure whether the rifle will appear before you get to that point in his quest, but I don't see why not. The rifle can be found in an area called Sniper Perch (I think) above Cotton Wood Cove. The spot looks down on the slave cages from afar and is relatively easy to find.

ED-E has a bug on PS3, 360 and PC after completeing his companion quest when ever you get into a fight he stops following you. Try fast traveling.

Just completed the game with the boomers, Brotherhood of steel and great khans helping the NCR. Wow. 
Also, You'd think Legate Lanius would be hard to kill on very hard... 8 bricks of C4 say otherwise.

The presidential suite I believe. Never actually tried sending a companion there myself though, as I've heard multiple tales of people having issues when doing that.

I heard the game has some load times problems freezing at times. It plays better on the PC then on console and it's advised against going on hardcore mode. That being said I know this game is rateda 9.0 on IGN. But is there really so much to do in this game?

Don't always rely on a single website's reviews to pick out games. Yes there is so much to do. You can add to the experience with mods and upcoming DLC (Which will come out on Xbox first )

I never played Fall Out before. I just saw 38 pages of it it online and I am curious. Can a game be that good?

For those on xbox360, I found that clearing the cache solved freezing problems.  For instance, I had a quest that asked me to go to the Strip - only way in for me is through the North gate, since the monorail is out.  Every time I went through the gate, the game immediately froze.  I cleared the Xbox's cache (and then downloaded the game update again), and the issue was solved.  The devs apparently suggested trying this on some podcast my husband listens to.

...just something to try if you get this problem.  Here's the Microsoft How-to.

The Remnants' power armor and helmet is amazing. Too bad it doesn't have +4 strength like in Fallout 2 but then no one would use the other armors.



Also about the clearing of the game cache. Anything that can help us PC users out from having the game freeze when 6+ shoot SMGs?

 This is an actual game problem, and not that of microsofts/sony's. Sounds like you've found a bug from the former release, which I have yet to encounter. Simple strategy: whenever playing a Bethesda game: save now, save always, and hope you saved a hour before.

 Typically when playing on a console, you MUST reload the game (regardless whether on HDD or not) and refresh (go to dashboard) the virtual memory EVERY 2 hours.

 Otherwise, happy sailing with the 3 minute load screens.

 Josh, one would only know when such has played. Flavors are as they are, and everyone is accustomed.

 While BioWare has my heart strings pulled from story, Fallout has 'em pulled from scope. An unadulterated joyride in a post-apocalyptic free-4-all, all the while holding true to the best of RPG elements is what you'll find in Fallout (post-Bethesda release).

I found a infinet cap glitch, recruit fisto, have sex with him, idk if it matters but recruit him last, and never hire him when hes at the wrangler, every time you leave conversation it gives 10 caps, slow but steady caps forever idk if it matters in what order i recruited them or what but it worked for me.



make sure you recruit the NCR prison Sherrif for primm before you attacked the prison, idk what happend, but i think the NCR horde troopers killed him... :\\

Ive stopped progressing in the game, im travelling everywhere and doing the lil side quests. Just the idea of not being able to continue after completion is rubbish, i dont want to have to start a new game for the DLC. Its too much of a commitment!

@irish goat - i noticed that too lol. I start a convo with him then turn him down, i get 10 caps back. Shame he doesnt charge more
