I don't understand all the complaints about bugs and crashes.... must be the PC players complaining. The only things that have really happened to me is one time the faction clothing thing glitched up on me and a few times my character's gun has gone invisible but came right back after a few switches b/w first and third person.
Heh I thought it was the consolers. I sometimes wonder if they are really bugs or just the way quest works - not all games make all quests always available. Sometimes doing A closes B. Still I am sure there are many valid bugs or there would not be so many complaints. Everytime I thought a quest was bugged ( no solution, someone would not talk, unable to progress) I would look it up and find I either killed it myself by something I did or another quest or I was missing a step.
That is not to say there are no bugs by any means. But I have been on the forums and many quest bugs are not really bugs as people have pointed out. Sadly there are quest bugs and it can be hard figuring out what is a real bug versus game play sometimes.
But so far I haven't seen any bugs and I am on the PC. I have crashed 3 times and froze twice - but that is with 63 hours of game played so far so I hardly consider that an issue. I get stuck now and then although everytime I got stuck it was because I kept jumping and trying to get into areas that were blocked off (one exception when I got stuck in a rock running away from a Deathclaw).
Anyhow love the game and consider it one of my top 5 favorites now.

That reminds me. Are there any plastic surgeons or barbers in this game like there were in Fallout 3? My female character's blue hair was at first funny but now it's getting annoying...Crippledcarny wrote...

Do you have the PC version? If so, open the console and type "showracemenu" then press enter.
Note: If you care about achievements that could mess it up.

I heard rumors that the King in Freeside will allow you to use the services of his barber given you've completed several favors for him.

Re. bugs, in this game ED-E is taking the place of Fawkes and Charon in randomly starting shoot-outs with friendly NPCs after I close dialogues with them. At least the markers don't turn red this time, so I can fast travel out to stop the carnage. What's really annoying is the colonel lady I have to keep going back to for the NCR quests is one of these. ED-E doesn't like the cut of her jib.

November 8, 2010 (Rockville, MD) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax Media company, announced today that its highly anticipated title, Fallout®: New VegasTM, has enjoyed record sales at launch, reflecting the huge consumer demand for the game. Five million units of Fallout: New Vegas were shipped worldwide for the Xbox 360®video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, and Games for Windows®, with a heavy volume of digital downloads, representing well over $300 million in retail sales. In addition, the Fallout: New Vegas strategy guide was one of Amazon’s best sellers among all books.
So nice to see that a game with some depth and RP value can sell so well. Shows there is a fan base for these style of games, regardless of what EA may like people to think.

Shipped doesn't mean sold, but they are very good numbers.
Aye I read that, but at least the PR did mention:
"despite the large launch quantities for this title, we have already
received substantial re-orders from our retail partners".
Course I am biased - I am really enjoying the game and it is always nice to see a game you like sell well - as it means there may be more

You have to kill House, but you can make a truce between NCR and the Brotherhood.

I loaded an old save to do the Mr. House quest for the achievements, and I'm finding him to be a pretty decent guy. He is full of him self, but he's not dumb and even has some good ideas.
I find House the Neutral path, he dosent care who must die to get what he wants, but what he wants is pretty good.
