This. Anyone who has played FO and not just FO3 knows how the BoS really act. There is a reason why they are hated by a lot of factions, and it's not just because they are douchbags.Leinadi wrote...

They only helped because the Master was a huge threat to them, they didn't care about anyone else. Maybe the Elder did, but a lot of the people in the brotherhood only cared for them self. Had the master only been a threat to some people, do you really think the BoS would have helped or even care?LegendaryAvenger wrote...

NCR are better :innocent:gashgfjaskgfkagh wrote...
I still don't understand why are people so angry because they put a collar on your neck. See it from their point of view, everyone wants them dead, they know NCR is hunting on them and then some totally random guy shows up at their bunker. Did you people really expected them to say "Sure dude, come in!"? You should be thankful they didn't solved it how BoS usually handles this kind of situations....Addai67 wrote...
I have to say, I felt like a real scumbag slaughtering them. I thought my anger at having them put an explosive collar on me would carry over, but it didn't really. What it reminded me of was Boone's experience at Bitter Springs.gashgfjaskgfkagh wrote...
Maybe becasue I just like them? Or maybe becasue I simply can do whatever I want in my game? Their mission is recovering technology, true BoS will only care about their objective. That's why I like them. I still like the D.C Chapter though since they were still BoS, even when they seemed good.
@Steingrimur Steingrimsson Same here, if BoS was a major faction then I woud've sided with them though. The BoS questline felt kind of unfinished for me, I would've loved a quest that will make BoS take over the Mojave Wasteland, or atleast the Hoover Dam and HELLIOS One. The only reason why BoS was defeated at HELLIOS was because they were more NCR Troopers then they had ammo
It seems people expect them to let a totally random and unimportant guy in, only because they play as that guy.LegendaryAvenger wrote...
Yeah, really. Why do people hate
the Brotherhood of steel for taking precautions? They have all the
right to be paranoid considering that the NCR could wipe them off the
wasteland if they knew their exact location. Plus, the BoS and NCR
should unite and they would be an unstoppable entity in the wasteland,
since the enclave is dead.
NCR could wipe tem out, but would also loose 1000 men or even more since Hidden Valley is easier to defend then HELLIOS were NCR still used human wave tactics since there was no other way.
Well you can make them sign a truce, but I don't really see them co-operating. NCR should've tried to ally themselves with BoS since the begining. Only if the Mojave Chapter had Liberty Prime...

All you have to do is hack the turents, use the Gauss rifle, kill the Elder, Hardin and head scribe, take there codes, blow bunker and then run out, kill anyone who get's in your way. Done.LegendaryAvenger wrote...

One of the reason is also that BoS can be a bunch of douchebags becuase of their high tech equipment,
Random dude: "Give me back my tech you douchebag!"

I kindal ike that tho. At least we know that not everyone in the BoS is like that, better yet an Elder has those feelings. Of course if NCR was at the captial wasteland, it would be much better......:innocent:gashgfjaskgfkagh wrote...

The Outcasts are the true BoS in D.C. I also liked them, since while being the good guys they still were douchy enough to be BoS. You and your NCR love (says the BoS fanboy)kraidy1117 wrote...

It will take a while before NCR will arrive that far in the US, D.C. BoS would've probably rebuilt Liberty Prime by then....
*NCR sets up base somewhere in the Capital Wasteland*
*NCR encounters a BoS Kinght, they shoot him on sight*
*BoS discovers what happend with their Knight*
Last thing the NCR would hear: COMMUNISM IS THE VERY DEFINTION OF FAILURE!!!!!!!
But if the NCR didn't shot them on sight things could get interesting...

Perosnaly I think the NCR and the BoS if you did what I did in NV, I could see the BoS(if they survvied) working with the NCR to stablize the wasteland. Lyons is a very open mind fellow, put him in the same room as Crooker and I could see something good happing.gashgfjaskgfkagh wrote...

I never talked to him, me, Boone and ED-E just atacked their base and wipe them out. Seeing that Boone and ED-E both died few times (I don't play hardcore) and I has to use quite alot of Stimpacks, BoS T-51b, Plasma Rifle and for Cesear's bodyguards I just used to grenade launcher since enemies who go berserk with melee weapons always annoy me (in games with guns then), then I shot Benny in the face with a .44 Magnum and got a nice sidearm.kraidy1117 wrote...

Which armor do you wear btw? I wear NCR Ranger Patrol Armor when I can (thanks BoS!) with a 1st Recon Beret and Authority Glasses, my dude looks quite badass. Sadly I don't have another set for Boone so he has Van Graff Combat Armor (again thanks BoS!)...

Plus I play a female character, so that adds insult to injury to the legion XD

However I managed to fluke find the Chinese Stealth armour by clicking boxes! I always click boxes even in red because you dont lose karma unless you steal. Needless to say I was willing to lose some karma taking that!!! Shame its broke and doesnt stealth though, it only increases sneak I think =(
Plus if you wear the beret on top of it it looks like you wearing recon armour off Halo which is cool. The beret covers the top of the helmet and really shallows the visor to that degree.

Well if the truce between NCR and BoS spread futher then at Mojave then they wouldn't shoot BoS on sight and of course if they knew about Liberty Prime then I doubt they would attack BoS, even te Enclave couldn't take him out without using the "nuke it from orbit" tactic... The biggest difference between Crooker and Lyons is that Lyons still was a Paladin before he was an Elder which makes him act faster then a poltician like Crooker.kraidy1117 wrote...

Well finding a truly good faction the Fallout universe is also quite difficult. But yeah what they did at Bitter Springs was cruel, I don't buy the "miscomunication" BS, those people weren't a threat, there's no point of shooting them!
