It turned out that one of the Followers killed the officer in Westside so that the district will continue to receive fresh water. Did anyone else complete that quest?
Yeah, that was a tough one in the blurring of morality. I let him live and lied to the NCR Sgt..

That's what I thought too. Emily Ortal was here name. I thought I remembered her saying something about Benny.Leinadi wrote...
I read it as though Benny basically fooled that one Follower (Emily something) into helping him program Yes Man promising that the tech gathered from House would greatly benefit the Followers. But once she had finished programming the robot, Benny had her kicked out of the Tops.

If I were to make the choice based on my own views and not that of the character, I would have him arrested.

The same goes for the Follower quest. I didn't imprison or kill the sabateur for fear of ruining any other quest with in the area. I shoot him, Meansonofa**** wants revenge, and then I end up slaughtering everyone in Freeside. Had I not feared the 'game' consequences I would of probably turned the guy in, because who's to say he won't kill again.
EDIT: Plus, there didn't seem to be any talk of compromise from the Followers stooge.

Well, I'll use a tougher choice as an example, a choice I (would make) made and not that of my character. Diverting the power from the Helios sun array. Morally the power should be shared throughout the region, but diverting the power to Camp McCarren is more tactful in a real world scenario. Of course I picked the option to share it throughout so not to be excluded from any possible future quest.

Yeah, the Follower made a rash, unethical decision yet because my character was a great admirer of the Followers of the Apocalypse and did not want to lose her reputation with them, I let it go. God....now I feel like a corrupt politcian!
As for the Helios Array, I decided to divert the power to Camp McCarran and New Vegas. Ideally I would have liked to distribute it to everyone in the Mojave but the computer told me that the power demand was too great to keep stable. It seemed more like a choice between a major power outage or power to a select area. Atleast with Camp MacCarran and Vegas powered, the NCR would have more reources at their disposal to repel the Legion.

I know that this isn't new but it's bothering me. I have a glitch where I couldn't zoom with the gun and everytime I hold the right mouse button, the reticule disappears. I press the ESC and TAB buttons but nothing happens until 10 seconds later.
To be honest, I really think that Karma and morality has MUCH less of a role than it did in Fallout 3 and in comparison with faction status. The lines between good and evil are a lot more blurry.

"Really Boone? You think you could snipe with a mini-gun?"

I looked it up on the wiki and I never even met that character, even though one should after leaving the Lucky 38 at one point.Tentura wrote...

Of course. here it makes sense at least.
In F3 you could blow up megaton and increase your karma again by giving those water beggars a waters.
The whole karma system in Fallout 3 was FUBAR.

SPOILERS
I usually dont care about bugs.. but when it effect quests and dialogue it sucks. I did the evil method of completing Come fly with me, and the ghoul wannabe doesn't even acknowledge that hes helped me. I go down to the basement to talk with him and he straight away says 'welcome to novac.... do you know what happened to the rockets?' Would have liked to hear his vengeful dialogue... in the end he attacked me for doing it, despite him helping lol

Well yeah. Feral Ghouls aren't evil but just crazy. The reason you get good karma for killing them is because you're putting them out of their misery... like Old Yeller. The Narrator wrote...
i meant while the souls were still attached to the ghoul bodies my mistake... :innocent:

Anyway 3 easy achievements left & I'm done with the game. Think I'll play a female character to unlock those. Love the Bomb, NV Samurai, & Old time Brawler left.
Who knows maybe she'll think Boone is okay, after all he is the only decent looking/human male companion you can have.

Was walking around in front of the Gun Runners, testing out my new gun, when all of a sudden I found myself launched several dozen feet in the air.
Fun.
