To be honest, I prefer the Q-35 modulator. It's conserves ammo and I'm more accurate with it.

More accurate than the sniping gauss rifle? /insert bulging eyed confused smiley

I don't know but the Gauss rifle goes all over the place for me. I have 65 Energy weapons skill BTW.

And what level is your character? Mine is deadly accurate but I  have near 100 point skill level. Of course the 'special' gauss rifle has better attributes, but isn't attainable if you choose Wild Wasteland.

30. I'm planning to create future characters though.

I always make sure to follow only one weapon path per character, whether that be unarmed, guns, or energy weapons. That way it frees up points for the chosen path, and for others such as speech and computer hacking.

I've also made a hard save point, then select 'Tag!' skill and put 15 points plus the leveling points into a paticular skill that I needed an achievement for.

I never really cared for energy weapons, but once I tried that gauss rifle I was forever sold on them, though it can be slow going in the beginning because of lack of ammo and decent weapons.

Yeah, I live under constant fear of overwriting a save of one of my characters. I wish it was like Mass Effect where careers are organized.

In New Vegas I would only hold onto 1 character at a time because of the messy management. I use three saves, one as a main, another as a 'questionable' and the last is used to save every 30 minutes. Playing on a console, I also had to force myself to reload the game every 30 minutes to avoid 4 minute load times and screen lag.

Ah, playing on the PC is so much more convenient.  Just need to rename the "Saves" folder Image IPB.

Not to mention all the user-made mods console gamers miss out.

Oh boy, here I go again.

Everytime I interact with npcs I HAVE to save prior to and be wary of the reaction post-convo. It happens too often that ED-E is being targeted and attacked by all the npcs in the area for no reason. Only ED, me and Boone are still "friendly". All the ppl attacking ED are green on my compass. Major WTF?! in that case I tell you.

Any clue what causes this?

Game bugged beyond belief.

I have no idea, but I had the opposite reaction once. Saved before fast traveling. Fast traveled to Freeside (where I was Liked) with ED-E and Boone and - the next thing I know - everyone is running around ducking their heads and screaming in fear. At first, it was kind of funny. After a few minutes and being unable to interact with ANY NPCs anymore (and, thus, unable to complete any more quests of any kind), it quickly became game-killing.

I tried having both ED-E and Boone leave as companions, but that didn't solve it. I tried fast traveling away and then back again by myself. Same thing. It's like I was suddenly the Abominable Snowman or something.

Had to re-load my previous save (glad it was so recent!). There seems to be no fix for it on a console other than reload. Once the NPCs start freaking out (with fear or hostility), it's permanent and game-breaking.

Another thing that happened yesterday was at NCR ambassy/prison in The Strip. I entered hacking mode, red the data on a terminal, on exiting I see Boon in hidden mode with Equalizer (?) machette drawn and decapitated NCR soldier falling to the ground D: ! He killed him with no karma loss or any other reaction from the NCR...now what was that? Boon's bad day?

Lol, I do this so much.  I have had so much trouble beating "Eddie" into my brain.

I also get the bug where NPCs will start attacking ED-E after I close a dialogue. This happened in Fallout 3, too. End a conversation and suddenly Fawkes or Charon start wigging out and shooting everything in sight.  Once I turned around after a fight to see Star Paladin Cross bashing Sticky's head in.  Image IPB

At least now you can fast travel out to stop the carnage. As I recall in FO3, everyone turned red so there was no fast traveling.

Here's a video I ran across that I figured Booniacs would appreciate.  He's not dancing, just being badass.  You can never have enough Boone, right?  He may be a kill-stealer sometimes, but those headshots are a thing of beauty. B)

Well this is great. I got tired of wearing the Remnants' power armor so I wore the Ranger Combat armor. I went to pick up Veronica in the Lucky 38 and 5 secs later, she was complaining that I was killing brotherhood which I NEVER did. Is this a glitch, the Ranger combat armor or both?

I am pretty sure I wore that armor around Veronica. Not sure why she would be saying that! I did have the issue with NCR rep when wearing it, though - no matter what I did, I couldn't get it over Neutral.

Another thing is that when I got This Machine, I got so excited that I wanted to try it out. I saved, and "Tested" it on some NCR troopers on the strip. I loaded, then my rep with the NCR was neutral. I got mad, took off the ranger Combat armor and my Rep was back to idolized. I'm confused

@LegendaryAvenger: Yeah, I've had that problem, too. It seemed like it would just happen at random - like, I'd be idolized with them and then travel or something and it would drop down to neutral. So dumb. Do you know if that happens if you wear Legion armor, too? Or is it just the NCR? I haven't done the Legion questline yet. I don't know if they have any really good armor, anyway, but I thought I might enjoy walking around with that big ol' Vexillarius flag on my back. Go ahead and wholeheartedly embrace being the a-holes of the Mojave.

I think its a bug caused with the faction armour covering your status with the faction - desguise. Whenever you put on eg a NCR armour your stst with that faction goes neutral, weather you are idolized or vilified...methinks. I think this is obligatory for some quests. Nevertheless it should only be applied when you're below neutral, right?

Damn, this is so stupid. How do they manage to put out such a product? So many bugs!

Besides the DLC on Consoles Fallout 3 was relatively bug free compared to NV.
