Really enjoyed Dead Money, very well written and not nearly as frustrating as some people make it out to be.

Saw some mention somewhere (think it was from Bethesda's newsletter?) that info on upcoming DLCs would be revealed soon.

Was there actual story to it?  "Survival dungeon" is not my cup of tea really.

Yes, there is definitely story to it and it's very well written. There are 3 companions as well that are very well realized also. Writing wise, I think it's some of the best the Fallout series has seen.

But, it is also very "survivalist" in terms of gameplay and it puts severe limitations on the player which I think a lot of people don't like. If you know that you don't like that style of gameplay, I doubt you'd get much enjoyment out of Dead Money, story or no.

I just downloaded the Dead Money DLC & played it, and I must say well done Obisidian. Although I was totally disapointed with the vague & uninteresting quests of FNV generally, the quests in Dead Money had twist, suspense, plot, purpose & challenge all packed in to one. Best quests in the game so far. Just disapointed at the fact that the DLC area can not be accessed again once you leave. 9.5 out of 10 from me and definetly recommended to anyone who has the game & not played the dlc yet.

Looks like we'll finally see an announcement on the next DLC soon (believed to be Honest Hearts) and get a new patch as well. http://forums.bethso...-from-bethesda/

Hi everyone,

On behalf of all of the hard-working teams at Bethesda and Obsidian, I’d like to give you an update what we’ve been working on these past few months.

Well, here’s what happened: our next DLC release (announcement coming very soon, we promise) has been complete while we worked on getting a patch ready for you all. We didn’t want to just release more DLC before we had a patch that would improve the overall New Vegas experience.

The good news is that we do have such a patch and it’s been handed off to the necessary platform owners. It should be released in the next couple of weeks on 360, PS3 and PC (can’t be more specific than that, I’m afraid, although PC will almost certainly get it first).

So what’s in that patch? First and foremost, optimizations and stability improvements. While there are bug fixes, our core focus was on improving stability and performance. We worked directly with first party platform owners to identify issues, and we have fixed a great deal of the crashes and lockups that people were experiencing. In addition, we scoured the forums and this patch includes weapon balance tweaks and other requested fixes.

We know we’re not done yet. There’s still more work to do, and we’ll be monitoring the forums very carefully following the release of this patch, looking for more issues. We do have another update planned further down the line.

So I’d like to apologize for the radio silence. Hopefully you’ll be pleased with the enormous amount of work we’ve put into this update over the last few months, and will enjoy the rest of our DLC releases. We have some pretty cool stuff coming soon. Stay tuned!

Thanks,
Jason Bergman
Senior Producer, FNV

Blah I need to play it again...so many games left unfinished. So any hints on the new DLC? I hope its some sort of "after game" play as it sucks not being able to play after the end.

Are you aware that a Broken Steel like DLC is unlikely? What we do know is that the next DLC will probably take place in Utah, concern post-apocalyptic Mormons and tribals, and investigate the origins of Joshua Graham aka the Burned Man.

there is a sortav after game thing planned, if you play The first DLC i hear it mentions it.

here are the ones that are coming up.

Honest Hearts, Utah coming out in a month or this month. (start location is probably Northern Passage, theirs a cave and at the other end (only way to get in is through console commands) and its name is To new Cannan or something) oh and if you liked the Ringo character, your in luck, since hes almost assuradly in it since hes getting sent north to start up Crimson Caravan operations in New Cannan.
http://fallout.wikia.../Honest_Hearts  (i was wrong about the naming but a correction is better than your pointless post)

Lonesome road. Fight Usyless a planned companion that got left out, probably in the grand canyon, in game (the first DLC) it only mentions it as The Great divide. (trigger may be the Colarado River although theirs nothing to hint at this, maybe a southern going rail road which i think theirs two) (same as above)http://fallout.wikia...i/Lonesome_Road

no name, this is speculative. Going west to california to sort out some politicans or something i saw something that hinted at the games plot but i forget i remember i was excited to play it though. (the Mojave Outpost is probably its start since the chain link fence their goes west)

Van Buren based DLC.

this is the first DLC Dead money. http://fallout.wikia...wiki/Dead_Money

How buggy is the game currently? I'm intrested in buying the game, but the horror stories i've heard about numerous glitches in the game have kept me off bay. Have they had the time to address them?

3 DLC's in three months?

Admittedly I bought New Vegas when it came out but sold it after about 100 hours into my playthrough I was plagued by crashes and corrupted saves and any attempt at a new game was immediately halted by more crashes, which is sad because it is an enjoyable game.

Can anyone tell me what the released patches have fixed and corrected in the game and if they've fixed the dreaded 'Strip Gate Entrance glitch' or not?

Also I read somewhere else that Obsidian/Bethesda were planning on 7 DLC's altogether, at the moment it stands at 4. Is anyone even hoping for more DLC's for this game?
