Rose is the best in DAO, and the Thaig Shanker is great vs mages. Other suggestions are Duncan's Dagger and Edge; both DLC items.

Crow Daggers add 15% to your backstab damage too, which is nice(and they are easy to get)

City Elf origin has the opportunity to get the Fang dagger. +3 cunning, +5% melee critical chance, +6 attack, +10% critical/backstab damage, +1 nature damage. Only Warden that can get it.

Not certain, but you may be able to add Rune slots to these if held, and then ask Sandal to Enchant them.

I believe the Rose is sold by the stuttering vendor nearest the entrance to the Deep Roads. The Shanker may be found on Shale's personal quest within that Thaig.

A list of runes is available at the DAO Wiki (cannot link currently; sorry).

Shops.

All the Grandmaster runes of each type are sold by the various merchants in the game.    Bodahn at your camp has the bulk of them.  Also, the Wonders of Thedas store in Denerim Sells a bunch.

What's your question exactly?

As a rule of thumb,  with armor the higher the tier, the higher the strength requirement.  Tier 7 light armor requires a strength of 20.  I would HIGHLY suggest upping  your rogue's strength to 20  (either naturally via level-ups, or via attribute enhancing gear)  so that you can wear the best leather armor, such as Felon's coat or Wade's drakeskin.

Ah got it. I didn't know light armor had tiers... so my first rogue got to the finall boss... and I'm in rough armor.....

and I'm never sure what skills to take... I always max persuade and combat training....that's it.... maybe a point in steal or poison

Those two are the only ones you need as one unlocks your talent selections and the other is only available to your Warden. After that it's largely by preference. One in poison would work great if you have an expert/master poisoner mix some poisons that have chance to stun (coup de grace set up), higher tier ones even do respectable additional damage. Or you could be the master poisoner yourself and not need to worry about it.

I get a rank or two at least of combat tactics in case I need to switch to a companion for some reason and I want my Warden to do more then stand there looking pretty.

Don't all rogues start with poison making(rank 1) by default? I've never made a dwarf rogue, but I know that human and elven rogues have that as a starter

I believe so, but many use the Respec mod and select other choices.

That respec would be great for a mage since they make you take potion making and combat tactics(both completely unnecessary for your PC). With a rogue you accumulate the skills so fast I can't see it mattering much(plus poison rocks)

Don't need our help for that.  Go to your skills screen, hover your cursor over the survival tree and it will tell you what it does.

Found it amazingly useful on my mage run. See magic casting classes without going into line of sight and triggering combat, and since several spells are not LoS dependent, I could get an alpha strike off first, sometimes totally eliminating return fire.

Only types of enemies it won't show are 'burrowed' types like deepstalkers, demons, ghosts and some undead.

That's 17 Skill Points needed for what you listed . . .

I am confused by this, stealth and deft hands are talents, not skills, so it should only be 10 skill points required for 4 coercion, 3 stealing,  3 trap making.  (Plus 7 talent points required for stealth 3 and deft hands 4)
