Hello, I am using the NWN 2 toolset, and I have an area in which I would like to create a pretty hectic boss fight. One of the elements of this fight is that until the boss is dead/immobilized, guards will spawn to aid him, every few seconds or so. How do I go about setting something like this up? Keep in mind that the fight ends with the boss starting a conversation then you have the option to kill him or spare him at that point.
Thanks

You can do it with custom scripts that spawn creatures at specific intervals, either triggered by a conversation node (with the boss) or the OnEnter event of a trigger.
If you don't know how to script, take a look at spawn systems like NESS which allow you to spawn critters w/o having to create your own scripts.

Best thing to do would be to try and find an example of this in the OC or another module, see how its done and possibly take and alter the scripts to your liking.
You could possibly do all this with the heartbeat script of your boss. Have the script check how many minions there are and spawn some more if they have been killed. In this HB script you will also need a check for the boss' hitpoints and then turn him neutral if he is close to death so the conversation can happen. The boss should also be set to immortal.

Thanks for the response. The NESS is great never heard of it before, but I like the functionality. Thanks much.
