I've finally tried to create a custom item in my toolset. I tried first with an armor, but I supposed it was a bit too complicated for a first try (how much I miss Aurora Toolset wizards!). So I tried again with a long sword.
Right-clicked on the item to open the properties panel in a new window, in order to see the preview and... I just see a nice blueish background without any object in front of it. Any idea in what I am doing wrong? I need to see the preview of the object! Moreover, I don't know where I have to put my hands in order to modify the item features (you see, I want to give... ie: +5 of holy damage, an AB of +2, things like that)
Could you please help me?

Ok Click BluePrints > Items > Weapons > Bladed > LongSwords > Adamantine Longsword

(that should be the first one) then make sure you can see it in preview. If you do just right click on it and Copy the blueprint to either module or campaign as you see fit. Then you should be able to modify appearance and properties.



You could also use the RDR Item Wizard which is very good though you will need to install some files to make it work correctly.

I've done as you wrote but, no, I can't see any preview. Again, just the blue background :-(

Hmm try zooming with the mouse wheel maybe, is preview checked on the blueprint?

get the latest version: Updated for Hotfix 1.23.1765

But that wont work alone you will need the original files from the original author:

Do you see the original blueprints at all? Click one then Properties and Preview. If you don't then there is a trouble ahead.

No, no, I really can't see anything. Do you want me to upload a screenshot? Maybe that could help...

No, I believe you. Actually there are *some* items I can't see either such as wands, but for swords it works.

Try selecting Show/Hide > Show All and see if that helps.

Also, on the properties tab, along the top of that window, is a set of buttons (None | Overwrite | Merge | Pristine | Etc.). Make sure the one that says "Preview" is highlighted. This toggles the preview aspect on/off.

@ Knightmare: thank you very much, that was the problem! I clicked on the "preview" tab below the one you were referring to. Now I am able to see the preview! ^^

Ok, I have now to try in installing the plug-in written above!

EDIT:
ok, I was looking at those links but I am frankly quite confused. There are 2 files that looks the same. Same title, same content, same everything. Which is the one I should install?
My game version is 1.0.23.1765
