I am thinking about rolling a kensai, it will be pure kensai no dual/multi class - i wont solo btw it will be 6 men party. Which weapon style would be perfect considering end of TOB. 1st choice going for two handed and getting staff of ram+6 or going for 2 weapon style and getting axe of unyeilding+5( or flail of ages)/crom faeyr? Also, if i get 2 handed style would i reach 5 attacks per round at the end of TOB considering kensai speed factor every 4 levels?

If you're not dualing to a thief you can really pick anything. I would stick with 2 weapons because of the huge bonuses an offhand weapon can give you - especially as a Kensai who is missing item bonuses. As far as I read, you can really choose any kind of weapon with ToB, there's enough great ones.

I agree that 2 hands is the way to go. There are so many good long swords that I would concentrate on them. However a proficiency point in short swords or scimitars will help you take advantage of weapons (for your left hand) that give you an extra attack per round early in SoA. And then axes early on in SoA are powerful and helpful against undead (for good aligned PCs); so are maces. And Katangas hit hard and one has the best visual/sound effects in the game! And hammers allows you to build and use a superweapon (Crom Fayr) that sets your strength to 25. Image IPB

Anotherwords, there are so many good weapons that you might as well use whatever you think would be the most fun, or fits your PC from a role playing aspect. Also, you can obviously distribute the good stuff across the other members of your party, so with a little care you can make use of almost everything.

I think you need to get the grandmastery patch to have five apr. In any case, if you want increased APR, just keep picking greater whirlwind as your high level ability.  I would in my opinion, use flail of the ages+crom faeyr, as crom faeyr gives you the strength bonus to damage, and flail grants you massive elemental damage... my theory kensai would want to deal as much damage as possible.

"Also, if i get 2 handed style would i reach 5 attacks per round at the end of TOB considering kensai speed factor every 4 levels?"

Just so you know, the Kensai's bonuses to speed factor do not affect his or her number of attacks per round. It's purely a bonus to initiative (i.e., how early in the round the Kensai is able to attack).

A Kensai will only ever have a maximum of 2 base APR. They start with 1, and gain an extra half-attack at levels 7 and 13. (I think.) If you want to maximise APR, you'll have to raise it manually by means of Haste, Whirlwinds, and the like.

igneous.sponge is correct, but of course you'll get to a base of 3 APR with dual-wielding. Then you get an extra 1/2 APR for specialization with your main-hand weapon and, if you choose a particular short-sword or scimitar, an extra 1 APR there. Kensai can't use bracers, so I don't think you can actually get to 5 APR, but 4.5 or 3.5 APR (depending on off-hand choice) with a damage-dealing machine ain't so bad...

I agree with the dual wielding advice. Your kensai will be a giblet making machine when facing most enemies. The one advantage to two-handed is it's safer. It's possible to maneuver a heavily armored character between you and an enemy while still being able to wail on them with your two-handed weapon of choice. This approach makes up for a kensai's lack of armor class, but becomes less useful later on where a strong offensive preferable in my opinion.

I am currently playing a fighter only group with the grandmastery patch & multiclass grandmastery. Due to the SCS2 item randomiser I have several ToB weapons, but am missing some standard SoA ones. As far as I remember this is how they look:

PC multi Fighter/thief 5 APR Cutthroat & Kundane
Korgan Berzerker 4.5 APR Stonefire axe & +3 axe
Minsc Barbarian 3.5 APR FoA & iMoD
Chloe Kensai 4.5 APR Spectral Brand & Mauler's Arm (5 apr belm)
Mazzy Archer 4.5 APR composite short bow +2 (5 apr tuigan bow)
Edwin Monk 3 APR fists (2 apr monk sword from bonus merchant)

The single class ones are all over level 13, my PC is not. All have 3* in dual wielding, and 5* in their chosen weapon, except for Minsc who is capped at 2*, and Edwin at 1*. I think all the 5*'s are on 4.5 attacks dual wielding without an extra attack weapon.

yes, I think "true grandmastery" adds 1 APR with the 5th point in the main hand weapon.
