Reach was my first Halo game so many of the conversations left me in the dark but the atmosphere in that level really drew me into the game, despite my shortcomings.

Yeah thats one of the only times in the game you get to see the damage being done to cities and civilians not just military installations or battles in the middle of the desert. I think they could have played that scenario up a bit more.

New Alexandria? Dunno, it wasn't very engaging to me. I felt very detached, probably because I was flying aobe the entire thing. IMO, the civilian aircraft getting shot down in Exodus was much more powerful.

I don't know, I havent changed my Spartan or even played for that matter in a while.

I added some stuff I unlocked a few weeks ago but it hasn't updated at all. I'm gonna blame it on space bats I reckon.

On a side note, just did Sword Base on Heroic and it took me an hour D:
Oi, this is gonna be a long campaign. But I got a 50 kill streak apparently. That's nice to know. (As soon as I start Legendary it'll be more like: you killed a guy! Dead. You killed a guy! Dead.)
*50 kill streak is amazing for me. I couldn't beat Halo 2 on easy by myself.*

And playing Mass Effect and then Halo is a bad idea. I always mess up the controls. (Go biotic powers! Oh, wait wrong game ... that's a grenade! Dead.)

*Oh ya, I turned the 3x explosion skull on! So much better*

Most missions are 45-60 minutes for experienced players. Don't feel too bad.

Though a 50-kill streak is pretty amazing...

I think I got it right in the beginning, with the majority of bad guys being grunts ... and after I threw a grenade into my own face xD

Closer to the end of the mission I was dieing every 2 seconds ...

Yay I stole a ghost! Boom.

Yay I killed that really hard guy! Boom.

Ha! Eat sticky grenades you -- wait, don't run towards me, n--- Boom.



Yup. Kind of awesome. Kat was even hiding at one point. Then she stole my ghost and just drove in circles. Which was ... interesting. And then - you guessed it - Boom.



I did go one on one with a Revenant, and it was sorta epic. He went boom! I didn't! It was glorious! (Well, I got run over the first 3 times, but I got him the 4th time ...)

The bit just before the end in the shipyard with all the Elites was much worse I thought. Luckily I found out you can run right past them. The Brutes just took ages to kill them all and not die myself and the final pack of Elites/Grunts went down fairly quickly to a combination of sniper rifle/DMR and hammer. First time through though I really didnt have the weapons to deal with the situation and it took a while.

Brutes are ... brutal.

First time I ran in to them I just hid.

"I'm sorry ... you want me to kill those things with a shotgun? Ya, have fun Kat!"

Didn't know 'til the pillar that you can kill them with anything ...

But now I know, and knowing is half the battle (oh ho ho, G.I.Joe!) I just dislike how long it takes.

Nah.
I just get up close, pump them full of buckshot and finish with a melee. Way more fun!
I lurve the Reach shotgun, Bungie struck the perfect balance between the godly CE shotgun, the horrible H2 shotgun and the mediocre H3 shotgun.
