I bought Awakening when it first came out, my wife was able to import all of her characters just fine. When I try to import any of my characters, however, they all appear with no gear, they don't have any skills, any points to put into skills. The only thing they have are stat points.
I first had this issue when DA:A first came out, and thought it was a bug that would be addressed. Nearly a year later, I'm still having this issue. This also happens when I try to import into Witch Hunt. I can't see anyone else who has this issue (I scanned the first 3 pages of topics) and the search feature is screwy right now.
Has anyone else had this issue? If so, what did you do to address this? It's too much to hope for a dev response, I imagine, so if there are any users about with this problem, please let me know what I can do to fix this.
Imported characters are all naked.

You're talking about no equipment at all?
There's a known issue (not really a bug) with DLC items, which do NOT transfer over. However, I've not heard of anyone losing ALL equipment, as well as skills, etc.
Have you tried importing different saves from a game, not just the last game save? The save may be corrupted in some way.

It's not a glitch any DLC will not transfer to Awakening from DAO, and only Return to Ostagar weapons and armor will work.

But that's not the situation the OP is experiencing - at least, not as I read his post. He's talking about NO equipment carrying over . . . .and even that known issue did not effect stats or skill points . . .

Is the OP sure he has the latest patch? I personally confirmed that Xbox patch 1.04, which will prompt you for download automatically if you boot the game while connected to Xbox live, will most definitely start your character in basic stuff if the items you are wearing aren't compatible.

And yes, -all- my equipment is missing. Stuff looted from chests, darkspawn, etc. I do have DLC items, but I was expecting those to go away.

I have the came thing but my elf turns human and the save is currpted. if I start a new game with the same one but do not edvance the story he will imroprt fine i just wont have any story from DA;O. I have replayed 3 times and cant find where the glich is. I think it might be tied to doing other DLC BEFORE The last Boss. I will start Playthrough #4 and see what happens.

Silly question: are you sure you are importing the correct character? (One always hopes it is the simple things.)
If you are, then the game sounds as if it is glitched for some strange reason. Though in my experience, by no means conclusive, is doing all dlc before the import did not affect the importing of a character in Awakening.
Things to consider: is it just that character that glitches? Do any other characters have the problem if you try to import again?
