Starting a NM run with a Dalish Elf archer for the fun of it, willing to use Repeating Gloves but none of the Shale tricks...  But let's clear a few things before hand.

50% Dex, 50% Str means from 20 strength you get +5 damage?

Does heavy armor chest slow down firing like massive armor? It's written there on Da wikia, saying basic firing time in any armor is 1.6s and in heavy/massive its 2.8?

Isn't shortbowing a sad but superior way of handling this if you aren't willing to  cun build?  100% Dex is well....50% more damage than 50% from any source, be it Str or Dex? Seeing this right?

Experienced mechanics analysts, post here. Sure there are others, but a shout out goes to discobird, soteria, beancounter....
