...I found the chestpiece and gloves, but after scouring the whole Brecilian Forest and Werewolves Lair, I can't seem to find the boots or helm anywhere.
Anyone know where I can find the Ancient Elven Boots?
Ancient Elven Armor?

The helm you get from trading from the hermit in the forest. Do so before completing the Acorn quest he won't play question/barter with you after that I believe.
The boots I'm wondering myself, people say in the cabinet at Lothering and I believe I got them on my first playthrough there(though I didn't realize it was special) I've been attempting to "reload" just outside the chantry and have come up with a few changes in the cabinet but no Boots(sad).
I'll probably be forced to buy the guide.

Oh bugger >.<
I muffled in the hermit's treestump before talking to him, and he attacked me. I *knew* I was missing out on something.
Thanks for answering in any case though! I'll get it on my second playthrough

I wish bioware would make a patch so we can buy everything eventually, If this is the only place to acquire those boots I guess I'm out of luck.(sad)

Well, if anything they should atleast make sure the items are where they're supposed to be. That way we would atleast have a CHANCE to collect it.

Ah, THAT cabinet!
I can't remember if I got boots in there, will have a closer look next playthrough and maybe quicksave/load a couple of times until they're in there
Thanks for the replies everyone!

who are these good for? I haven't really found a use for medium armor in the game. Should I give it rogues?

I don't have a clue for who the armor would work best, but I'm a terrible completionist. Must.... have... complete... set... (to stash away at the Wardens Keep >.>)

I tried trading with the hermit, but he never wanted to trade for anything. He kept mumbling something about twigs or some such, couldn't really hear as there was a wee'bit'o background noise while I was talking with him...

Perhaps these items are in different locations depending on what you play it on, so a PC wouldn't be the same as the XBOX... that could explain some things.

That's what captions are for.
He will trade for some of the stuff you've found while wandering the forest, and the book given you in the Dalish camp (if you did that little quest).

Okay, I have the PRIMA Guide right in front of me and cannot for the love of god find where to find the boots.(I'm really getting upset now)
I love how the Author leaves out whats in the cabinet.
Also love how the Author leaves out the locations for unique armor on page 118.
Crappy guide.

Those boots are not in the lothering cabinet, at the very least not for me.
and ancient elven armor isnt really unique in that sense, id only call the named armor pieces "Unique"

Most people say they are in that very cabinet although me, playing the PC version, have NEVER seen them in there yet. And I'm just about to go there again and if they aren't there this time either, then I'm either playing a faulty game or they're somewhere else.

I suspect an enabled developer console(cheats) might be at fault but I'm not sure, just a guess.

No, I just now got there and I don't have developer console enabled, there are no boots there in my version. Never has been, and I doubt there ever will be. Either it's in different locations on different versions or my game is bugged.

I've never seen anything other than the Chest/Helmet..and I've looked, and will continue looking..That cabinet they are talking about has never given me the boots...Why would it for that matter...Most times I just get a few Health poultices from it.

Don't bother buying the Prima guide for Unique armor locations because it doesn't say. It will tell the vendors stock though. I emailed the Author about this.

I think it's time for BioWare to say something here. In the PC version, should I be able to find the boots in that cabinet or not?

I would like to know as well..I didn't get them..and Lothering is obviously destroyed as happens when you complete any of the main quests.
