Played three full games and an additional two that got far enough to get Gax, not once managed to get Fade Wall, rather sad about that too, it always seemed like a great arcane warrior shield to replace out Cailen's shield. Drop rate of it is just way too low I guess.

I got very lucky and managed to get it on my third try. I think killing him on Nightmare helps, at least according to the Wiki.

However in regards to the Warden Commander Shield (which I am currently wearing just because of the horror I went through to get it), that easily took me about 120-150 reloads... I know your pain.

The stats are fairly good on this one too so if you get lucky...

9.0



Stats:
+3 willpower
+6 defense
+1/+2 stamina regeneration in combat

Well, it might work for you on the PC but on the consoles (Xbox at least) it doesn't give the set bonus. Really, only the boots are worth wearing for the +50 stamina (mana) boost.

It does not transfer to DAA, so I oft give this set to another Warrior. I do recommend Cailan's boots among others; +20% Dodge comes in handy.

Armor : cailans armor/ sentinel armor

weapons : dual wield: edge and rose thorn/ rose thorn and voice of velvet
as tank i use cailans arms

rings: livegiver and key to the city / ring of mastery and discipline

necklace: regard of house dace / scout necklace

waist: forbidden secrets.

I ended up with Vigilance and the Landsmeet Shield, swapping with the Spellfury staff as second slot, along with the Sentinel Armor. Perhaps not the best setup for overall stats, but it is powerful and looks awesome. Still wearing Ring of Ages, Lifegiver and Spellward.



For all this though, I still got hammered in Golems, where I was surrounded by 3-4 golems. Was the longest fight I had across the entire set of games, and this was on easy mode!
