You SKETCHED that? On the computer...When it first loaded I thought "Why is this guy posting game screenshots". Its that damn good! And your PC is my FAVORITE combo (elf AW/SH) though I prefer female to male PC's.

Many thanks! Well, sketched is perhaps not giving it enough credit. I did a loose tracing of a screenshot via Wacom and then spent some time tightening it up before adding color.
I also took the hair from the screenshot and put it in as it's own layer and faded it into the drawing since I was having trouble getting the right tones of silver. So. That's techincally cheating in my book but even with color sampling it was just too much arsing trouble to shade and highlight it all as well =D

What do you find toughest about it? It is definitely something of a beast at first, unwieldy and complex. I've been at it at least 6 years though, now, so I have found ways to make it my b!tch. That's just practice, though... are you up to speed with Layers? I used it for quite an embarrassing stretch of time without having the slightest idea wtf a Layer was or what you were supposed to do with them. Figuring that out sort of made everything else fall into place.
