Tried using the search tool, but I can't seem to get it working...

Anyway, two questions.

1. Is it possible to find and destroy my own phylactery? If I remember correctly during the mage origin story they said it was taken to Denerim..? Or was it somewhere else? I can't quite seem to remember...

2. I just recently became a Blood Mage, although it seems that nobody is aware of what actually took place as I was completely alone when I did so. However, I'm wondering whether anything comes up in the future? Seeing as how hated blood magic is I strongly hope so. I would at the very least expect Alistair to throw a fit about it somehow.

1. Don't know. I never found my phylactery, but to be honest I didn't actively go looking for it either.

2. Nobody cares that you're a blood mage, which is something I was rather disappointed with. I mean, it's not exactly subtle. When I cast Blood Wound or Blood Control, a literal fountain of blood shoots out of me towards the enemies. You'd think Wynne, Allistair, or Leliana would have something to say about it, but they don't.

Posted Image That's really lame... Kind of defeats part of the fun of why I wanted to be a blood mage in the first place. >_> Sure, the powers are cool, but the whole taboo aspect made it extremely appealing.

Ah. As soon as I found out about the phylactery thing I was hoping I could hunt mine down and do something about it. In general I have a very strong distaste for the Templars and their desire to "control" me. And for that matter, I don't care much for the Circle of Magi either, I'd happily slaughter many of them without even batting an eye. ^_^

Actually people care if you do the quest and choose the options towards blood mage and reaver.

Reaver especially destroys your reputation with some characters permanently.  Not sure if blood mage is as harsh.

However, there seems to be no penalty for unlocking Blood mage and reaver in another game and then making your character one at level 7.  No one seemed surprised that I was running around as one as early as Lothering.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed too. I didn't use blood magic at all unti level 14 when I got Blood Wound. Then I intentionally took Wynne, Allistair, and Leliana in my party just to see what would happen when I used it in front of them, and. . . nothing.

What really doesn't make sense is that you can make Wynne a blood mage once you unlock the specialization. I didn't do it, but the option is there.

They only care if you sacrifice someone to get into the Fade. If you have the Circle send you into the fade, nobody is aware that you've made a deal with the demon because they aren't there. And they don't react when cast blood magic spells. Ergo, nobody cares.

Nobody was even aware when I became a Blood Mage. Basically I made a secret deal with the demon inside Connor that she would pretend to leave in return for teaching me blood magic. However, I was alone at the time and nobody seems to be aware of what happened and thinks I'm a hero.
