I liked it when I had the option to tell Howe when he comes with Loghain to see Eamon that Highever belongs to the Howes only untill all the Howes are dead, but it was lame that my PC didn't get the chance to put a blade through him in the cinematic.

cut out his tongue, tie him to a chair . slam a dagger in each leg and slit his throat. I would have been more satisfied :)

and when he can't respond back you say

"Fear my Sword of Truthiness!"

Alistair: Truthiness?

You: Oren would have wanted it this way..

Good to see I'm not the only one who equipped the Family Sword and Shield of Highever for this fight. I never could part with these heirlooms, and using them against the traitor felt "right". It was more of a somber moment for me, though. As good as it was to kill him, I agree that "revenge killings" often just aren't very satisfying for some reason.

I was also a little disappointed that not one of my party members had anything to say to me. I helped them with all their emotional baggage, and not any of my friends in my party said one thing to me after I killed the man who destroyed my entire family.

This. This is a general serious complaint I have about NPC interaction in this game. Two complaints, actually.

1) Wynne is the only person who gives a damn about the protagonist, everyone else is just me-me-me in their talks with the PC. No one except Wynne asks what it means to the PC to be a Grey Warden, how s/he is coping, about the vaunted origin story, or about anything. Maybe a throwaway half-sentence when you're first introduced, then it's back to me-me-me.

2) The party members are way too silent. Most of the time they might as well not even be there in terms of interaction with and reaction to other characters and events.

Wouldn't this have been a perfect moment for the active party members to show some bleeding support to their leader, just once?

When I first killed Howe, I was sort of sad that he didn't get a deathblow animation due to the whole cutscene. Would have been much more satisfying if my PC had shoved a blade into his chest then chopped off his head.

kinda disappointed that I couldn't use that "slit throat knife" on Howe lol. they should have options of killing him.

I would have enjoyed more of a prolonged ending for that whole part. Because i enjoyed killing the rat bastard. I too saw the part he played he was probably the one that influenced loghain and might have actually stabbed him in the back afterwards.
