 Hm...

I'm a ****** when it comes to modding Mass Effect 2. It was recommended that I ask people in this forum about fixing my problem. Yeah, I'm new to this thread.

So, to the point: I downloaded a .tpf file from the modders' group so that I could use Morinth's asari commando outfit on my Shep. I downloaded TexMod and I seem to have successfully uploaded the .tpf, since it doesn't tell me otherwise, but when I go to my closet in the game it... doesn't show up.

Then I downloaded three other programs: ME2 Mod Manager, Miranda's Locker, and Notepad++ per the instructions here: http://social.biowar...487/blog/11293/. I followed those instructions, but rather than the commando armor showing up all I see is my Kestral armor and my evening outfit repeating twice on the slider. And when I push 9 on the numpad, it doesn't do anything.

Suggestions?

just saw this...

I have never gotten Morinth's or LIara's outfits to show in the Captain's cabin locker. The only way I can load them on the Normandy is to bring up the Miranda's Locker and change outfits that way.

Thank you for your reply. When I try to load it up in Miranda's Locker, hitting 9 (or whatever number is designated) on the numpad doesn't work. Unless there's a different numpad somewhere I'm not aware of or something.

that thread ^ cliams setting it from true to false doesn't work. i'll try the rest tho.

and yeah, i found the option to change morality points right on the front page of Gibbed's editor lol.

Happy to assist. ;)
I hope the other two options work better.:?
Yep Gibbed's makes life awsome:D!

very cool trick^! i don't seem to be getting many result tho. like i search MIP2 for simple words like "modding" or "casual" and i only get couple result.   it'd be nice if there was a "search this thread" option here.

Click on this:
repeat the search with the omitted results included

the world will then open up.B)

Also add more words to search phase. Like:

For M.I.P.2:

Hello everyone, Ive been away for a long time and now Im back in the ME2 modding scene, and Ive been rebuilding my ini file after the last update, but I cant seem to find or remember how to add all those extra color options for our armor.

To be specific I mean the tints for the base, pattern and base 2 armor colors.

If anyone can point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. :)

Edit: Also, I forgot how to activate a "spectator" fly cam to take screen shots etc. if anyone can tell me that again I would also be grateful.

Edit2: Nvm, figured out how to add all of my previous armor colors, it came to me IN A DREAM! lol no I just remembered though. Still if anyone knows or remembers what to add and where in the ini to activate a flycam I would still really like that. :)

have another question that hopefully can be answered, I actually ran into this before I went afk.

I reinstalled Gibbed save editor because I wanted to have those cool glowy eyes or the TIM eyes, but when I load my save file and go to the head morph option there is no texture list or texture parameter, and I cant put anything in anywhere.

Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? and yeah I redownloaded the latest version of gibbed editor

Edit: Never Mind, I found out that you cant expand the morph head option unless you are playing with a custom face for your shep.

So i guess that raises another question for me, is there any face code for the default shepard face? Cuz I would really like to be able to change small things with that face to make it perfect for me.

Is there a way to fix the muffled voice problem when wearing Morinth's outfit in Miranda's Locker or is a way yet to be found?

Set the
bHasBreather=True
of Morinth's oufit in the [SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player] section to False

 Hmm, I don't have that. The codes I have for Morinth's outfit are...

FullBodyAppearances=(Id=3005,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_LGT_R.LGTc.HMF_ARM_LGTc_MDL"),GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFX,GameEffect_Gear_Visor","SFXGame.SFX,GameEffect_Gear_N7Torso",
"SFXGame.SFX,GameEffect_Gear_AmplifierPads","SFXGame.SFX,GameEffect_Gear_Stabilization
Gauntlets","SFXGame.SFX,GameEffect_Gear_LifeSupportWebbing"),PlotFlag=-1)

And...

CasualAppearances=(Id=2005,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_LGT_R.LGTc.HMF_ARM_LGTc_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)

No breather. In fact, it's apparently using the visor? O.o

I have a quick question for you experts in reference to TexMod and something I may be screwing up.....

Last night, I had to reinstall my ME:2 game but when I placed back all the patches, installed TexMod and then selected the mod I wanted, I got this message from TexMod saying, "D'OH".  Without using any mods, TexMod will load the game correctly though.

One thing that has me concerned is that when TexMod fails, I get an "auto-blocked" virus message from Norton saying that a file in my appdata folder has been blocked.

Do you all think a virus could have been installed on my comp which may be affecting this or is there just something screwy with Norton?

Thanks folks!

No answers - just a me too. After months of running texmod with no problems I started getting the warning on Tuesday. Norton must've updated something recently. It's blocking something called Backdoor.Graybird. This is happening with older mods enabled, not just new ones. For now I have to turn off the anti-virus part of the firewall so texmod will load with the mods enabled. A real pain when I'm trying to test new mods. :(

I found out what the problem is after dealing with a tech who was also confused as to the error.  It would appear that a few days ago a new patch was pushed out which was affecting applications like Texmod.  Basically, you have to go into the anti-virus settings and make Texmod an exclusion.  It's a pain but the only way to fix it right now that I know of.

I have used Norton before and its seems to be designed to be used for business more than for gaming & modding. Since it sees most modding programs and even some games (*cough,cough* Hyperoid*cough,cough*)  as a virus. If modding & gaming is the foretay of the day I'd advise using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware & SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition that give gamers & those who mod no hassels; just my opinion though.:whistle:

Heya folks,

After getting my game fixed again (that was a pain), I ended up having to go back to the original coalesced file as the modified one I was using caused serious problems with my DLC armor.  Basically, it was available to be
selected otherwise everything else worked.  I don't use my modified ini file to alter any weapons or abilities as I try to play it how the combat was intended though I do like having all the casuals available.

With that in mind, I was wondering if any of you had a coalesced that I can use that will allow me to use all my DCL armor/weapons, allow me to select casuals, yet not take away from the combat?

I apologize as my knowledge on how to alter the ini file itself isn't that impressive.

Defaulting to an INI before a DLC was installed will make that DLC no longer function correctly. The DLC will need to be reinstalled.

Ok, so if I go back and use RCW tool and edit the ini file, the DLC will work for me?  Sorry for the stupid questions: I'm still learning....
