It's a part of the armor. There's no separate code for it.

Is there a value in coalesced.ini that governs the distance which you can move away from your squadmates before they try to regroup with you on their own?

Any idea how to tone down ridiculous lens flare in this game? I've changed bloom and DOF already (note: smaller kernel sizes are faster), but it doesn't affect lens flare which looks corny.
Toggling LensFlares disables Use boxes too, which is obviously bad, some silly made them lens flares with different material instead of making a separate light category - it is so hard to copy a bunch of UnrealScripts to create your own class...
As a bonus, the motion blur uses too few samples for the MaxVelocity set - it really shows almost all the time it's enabled. This is probably not fixable, UDK doesn't expose this even now. Maybe they should go bug Epic to add this tunable or perhaps add samples based on the size of the motion vector.
EDIT: Durr, the .usf files are directly editable - time to mod some LensFlare shaders to fail less. Likewise with motion blur.
EDIT2: Any tiny (legal!) modification to LensFlare shader and ME2 explodes... Checksumming or what? MotionBlur doesn't cause this problem!
So far, nobody had any luck with decompiling that UnrealScript from Mass Effect 2?

Curious question, I have been messing around with texmods. I was wondering how can you make stuff transparent. Say for instance if I set Miranda's skin texture to transparent would you basically see walking armor with no body or say if you made the armor and skin texture transparent you would see basically nothing? Any help would be nice. Also does anyone have on hand the skin and armor texture names for all npcs? or say Miranda, Samara, Jack, and Tali? Thanks in advance.
What do you mean?AstralStorm wrote...
Bah, TexMod is really slow on ATI. Looks like it pings all textures in a scene to check whether to mod any. I'll try attacking the textures with latest UDK, maybe it'll work. Unfortunately, you can't redistribute the resulting modded files, not even binary patches, thanks to the restrictive EULA.
Technically, these textures are also derived work, so, illegal to distribute.
I'll bite and provide the patches if I'm successful.

Hey guys.. has there been any progress on Epik legions project, or was it a dud?
@phonienxofthunder are you the freelancer fan?
@Deebe
Sure, Yes, Yep, Definately, Absolutely ()
That's a shame hopefully the news will be good after the wait..It would suck to find out that nothings changed after a glimpse of light was shown.
A little offtopic but as for freelancer i remembered a post or something from a while back and thought you might be interested in a new indie game thats coming out called MinerWars the game is in pre-alpha and looks and plays amazingly well.

A tip for everyone that want to play the game without CD / DVD or cracked malmware .exe files.
Buy this software "Game Jackal" it is worth every penny, and here is their site.
How to use it, just google for a tutorial.

Quick question: (and I think this may be for Phoenix)
Awhile back there was a post that had a download link for a modified Cini file that would add additional casuals and a ton of color variations. I recently added some DCL to my account and as such, I don't get those options anymore. Can someone point me in the right direction to find that link again?
Also, when reading through the Cini with C++, what is the syntax I should look for if I'm going to add a weapon to a certain class?
Thanks!

Most cracked exes work perfectly fine without any malware or problems, like almost all. I'd rather stick to gamecopyworld for convienance then too "download a pay progam". Gamecopyworld only provides cracks and trainers for games with intrusive drm, which is great for people who don't want to insert discs all the time or pay extra for that bonus.
I don't know I'd rather download a cracked exe for the game i bought, then paying for some program.(that seems kinda like steam)

I completely forgot about Infinity, I seen it a year or so ago and was blown away. Hopefully it lives up to it's promise. They need some more action it that trailer... capital ships slugging it out in the distance as a small spec by the planet and the player flys right up and they're massive....

Sure, that makes sense.
So basically my problem was with adding in Armors in the C.ini file. I wanted to play through the game in Legion's skin. I'm sorta new to this kinda modding but it was going okay at the start. I managed to find the MDL files and put them in the C.ini as a TorsoAppearence and HelmetAppearence, and then made blank lines for the Shoulder, Arms and Legs. I found out how to do all of this with one of the tutorials on the first page of the Modding is Possible II thread. I followed it to the letter, just substituting in the MDLs and other stuff I wanted to use. But for some reason, it wouldn't work. The game recognised that I had put in new Torso and Helmet Appearence lines, but it wouldn't change into the skin I wanted. I came on here asking for a sort of step-by-step guide.
How did I fix it? I have no idea, and to be honest I still haven't - yet. When it wouldn't work I spent a while going through the hundreds of pages of posts for help. Sometimes I found adivce only to look on a few pages later to see it was wrong or outdated. In the end it was getting late and I was getting annoyed, so I just went back to that tutorial at the start of MiPII and copy and pasted the MDL he used as an example. Even though I had tried this before, it worked this time. That was enough for me, and I'm just about to try to do it with Legion now. I guess it works now because as I went through the threads I made small tweaks to my C.ini. They were in a random order though, so how they managed to come together to work I haven't a clue.
So really, my problem isn't solved yet, but I'm on the way at least
EDIT: Hit an immediate roadblock when trying to find the MDL files for Legion. It's really annoying and keeps happening to me. When I drag a PCC file to the Unreal Model Viewer, I get the black box with code in it, I can catch the word "overflow", but then it just closes and nothing happens. Any ideas?
