Is it possible to add passive powers from other classes? If so, how? I really miss the time dilation thing infiltrators get.

Sorry if this has already been answered. I've tried various searches, and even waded through a couple dozens pages of the 'modding is possible' threads, with no luck. We really need to have seperate threads for appearance mods and functionality mods.

Oh man this thread is huge...

Anyone know at least roughly what page to look for how to play as Kaidan?

First you will need his model code and the tutorial at the bottom of page 24.

That could be it. I've found posts that tell how to emulate the effect (bind SloMo to SharedAim), but I was hoping there was a way to add the actual skill, so I only get the effect with sniper rifles.

I've also discovered that the effect is done by a script named SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_TimeDilation, which is somehow built into the soldier and infiltrator powers. I've got no idea how to make it run whenever I zoom in with a sniper rifle, though (or at all, for that matter).

You can add game effects with these console commands:
giveeffect SFXPawn_PlayerSoldier(or different class)_1 effectname
giveeffectwithvalue SFXPawn_PlayerSoldier(or different class)_1 effectname 0.5

Also you can check current game effects with this command
profile effects self

I don't have any playthrough with Infiltrator, so could you send screenshot with above command enabled?

Anyway, probably simplest solution would be using something like that
Bindings=(Name="key",Command="slomo 0.5 | onrelease slomo 1.0")

Thanks for the info Legion.

Unfortunately 'profile effects self' shows no screen output whatsoever.

I also got no response (and no game effect) from 'giveeffect SFXPawn_PlayerInfiltrator_1 SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_TimeDilation'.

I'm running the commands via an 'exec file.txt' key bind, which worked just fine when I tested it with godmode command, so I know they're getting executed.

We are talking passive power ablities here right?

To get non upgraded InfiltratorPassive power did you try this:

In the C.ini:
[SFXGame.SFXEngine]
DynamicLoadMapping=(ObjectName="SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_InfiltratorPassive", SeekFreePackageName="SFXCharacterclass_Infiltrator")

[SFXGame.SFXGameModeBase] & [SFXGame.SFXGameModeDefault]
Bindings=( Name="Keyboard Key", Command="GivePower self SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_InfiltratorPassive" )
?

Hi, I like to asked for help to find a file that has the codes to recreate one of my favourites ME1 Shepard, can you get it from the ME1 character creator? Wished there was a save command in ME1 creator program so if can keep your favourites. I notice when I loaded that Shepard in ME2 the codes I receive a total different looking Shepard then what I had, that why I like to get code from ME1. Another thing is I tried to look up the Celebrity Likeness for ME1 Shepards but the links dont work :( so I cant get the code.

Plus I like to know how to get Legion head (helmet appearence) ingame, I already added the code in my coal file but the helmet is not showing up. Any suggestion :)?

What the code for Husk Head appearence?

Hi all,

So yesterday I figured out how to replace ole shep in me1 and that was relatively easy. What a difference modding into 2! I've managed to follow the instructions on page 24 and after screwing with it for a while I managed to get it working (woot!)

I did find a small bug in the instructions though. the line for garrus's head contains an extra space in front of the model path for females. At least I think thats why it finally started working for me.

Now I'm trying to find the model name for the undamaged garrus armor and head as well as joker's head, but im coming up empty searching on google or through the forum's built in search. Is there a list of all the models that have been found so far? If not what do I need to start digging through the content to find them?

(typo, should be profile effect self but nevermind)

Try phoenix solution and also use command:
setrank self SFXPower_InfiltratorPassive 3.0

After that open squad window and evolve "Operative" to "Assasin". Worked for me.

Looks like people still don't know that you can unlock in-game console, though.

Thanks for the info Phoenix, that did it. Just so others know, it doesn't have to be spacebar, and you can run the command via an exec file.txt binding.

What?!?! We can? By eggs of the Protheans man, give us a link!!. You can't just drop a bombshell like that without some sort of detail or explanation.

Also, here's the screenshot you asked for. Hope it helps.

When importing a Shepard into Mass Effect 2 you get three options: Import, Default, Custom. The third option lets you create a whole new custom face for Shepard based on one of ME2's preset faces and as such completely disolves your imported saves' Shepards' face . The second option gives you the "canon" Shepard appearance (the one based on his model counterpart). The first option lets you use the head the you imported from Mass Effect 1 for you Mass Effect 2 playthrough. Did you select any other option besides the first one? If so then this is the reason.

You mean to get your Shepard to look like Legion? That info is available in my final post of page 24 of MIP3 (this thread).

Fixed.
The undamaged armor for Garrus is his DLC armor. I would suggest looking his DLC armor PCC's. That is the only DLC that I currently do not have installed so I am afraid I can't be more helpful.

You mean besides squadmates?
As long as you have the model code of the NPC it should be relatively simple as getting Shepard to look like a squadmate.

While getting the dlc armor codes is something that I may be interested in down the road I was more hoping for the undamaged bits that the garrus npc has before he becomes part of the party.

Also could you point me to the tools I need to tear the content down to search for the codes? I'd gladly go through and find the codes for the dlc appearance pack.

I don't know if it would work since the texture for that armor is a completely different size than the armor that Garrus uses till his Alternate outfit is unlocked. I believe the "pre-damage" armor is either 256x256 or 512x512 compared with his default damaged armor which is 1024x1024 if memory serves, I may be off a little on the actual size.

There is a guide that does a good job of guiding people in the right course of finding certain models or a NPC's MDL and it is located here. However the two links for the two Unreal programs listed there no longer work. Here are the new links for the Unreal Viewer and the Unreal Extractor.

Besides squad mates, yes.

Many NPCs do not have unique head models. They either have something that seems to have been created in a character generator and/or just have a unique texture (that can't be applied for Shepard's armor).

Turned out my PCCPatcher was broken. Just fixed it. If anyone still cares about unlocking console + few other goodies, take a look (my projects).

Did you manage to figure out how to load packages so you can play as NPCs, Legion?

I found a way to fix crash, but player is still not spawned (which means you're constantly looking at skybox).

Bummer. Reminds me of the "looking at the lights line" that Taylor Mason uses with his female puppet......

Anyway on a side note: I recently recieved a PM asking about how to break the 50 something save limit for ME2. I told them I would give it a look and see what I could find out (never experienced it myself). I thus began searching the logical PCC (SFXGAME.PCC) and ran into to two codes that seemed to indicate that it possibly could be possible to bump the save limit up to at least three digits. The person in question is very adamant about keeping their current saves located on their ME2 character and not moving them and doing 50 fresh saves.<_< Do you think with the codes that this could become achieved or should I tell they have no choice and switch out the saves?:bandit:

Here are the codes I found if they are of any help:
m_nMaxSaves
MaxSaves
?

I should really stay out of reading of PCC's I am beginning to get to engrossed in it..... yet again.:pinched:

That was easy, tested with 94 saves. I hope ~4000 saves is big enough limit for him :D

Added to PCC patcher already.

94 saves- WOW!:o so I guess it worked?
Is it possible to impliment it into the Coalesced.ini?
Does it require both codes or just one?:?
