Hello.

Excelent thread by the way

So I used gibbed save editor built 25 to unlock legion early in the game. But he won't talk to me. I ask him "I want to get to know you better" and he just keeps replying that he's building concensus and asks me to come back later. Even after major collector missions he still won't talk. I did these two methods of aquiring legion early.

1) Used Gibbed > Plot > Henchmen > Flags and selected legion is both aquiried and selectable.

2) also this method as well http://social.biowar...iscussion/4124/

But for some reason even though everyone says on the forums (not to me) that it works perfectly. and no one experienced any issues. I am. I'm guessing it could be my coalesced file or something. I added two key bindings to unlock a few upgrades and added a single power to my already overpowered adept Image IPB. But thats all i have in terms of "mods".

There are the exact lines that I added:

DynamicLoadMapping=(ObjectName="SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_AdrenalineRush",SeekFreePackageName="SFXCharacterclass_Soldier")
DynamicLoadMapping=(ObjectName="SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_AdrenalineRush_Evolved1",SeekFreePackageName="SFXCharacterclass_Soldier")
DynamicLoadMapping=(ObjectName="SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_AdrenalineRush_Evolved2",SeekFreePackageName="SFXCharacterclass_Soldier")

Bindings=( Name="F8", Command="exec powerhax.txt" )

Bindings=( Name="F11", Command="setintbyname Tec_AutoPistol 3 | setintbyname Tec_AutoPistolR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_AutoPistolR2 1 | setintbyname Tec_AssaultRifle 3 | setintbyname Tec_AssaultRifleR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_AssaultRifleR2 1 | setintbyname Tec_BioticUpgrade 4 | setintbyname Tec_BioticR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_BioticR2 1 | setintbyname Tec_HeavyAmmo 5 | setintbyname Tec_HeavyPistol 3 | setintbyname Tec_HeavyPistolR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_HeavyPistolR2 1 | setintbyname Tec_MediGel 3 | setintbyname Tec_MediGelR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_MediGelR2 1 | setintbyname Tec_MiniGameDecrypt 1 | setintbyname Tec_MiniGameHack 1 | setintbyname Tec_ShepardHealth 4 | setintbyname Tec_ShepardR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_ShepardR2 1 | setintbyname Tec_Shield 5 | setintbyname Tec_ShieldR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_ShieldR2 1 | setintbyname Tec_Shotgun 3 | setintbyname Tec_ShotgunR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_ShotgunR2 1 | setintbyname Tec_SniperRifle 3 | setintbyname Tec_SniperRifleR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_SniperRifleR2 1 | setintbyname Tec_TechUpgrade 3 | setintbyname Tec_TechR1 1 | setintbyname Tec_TechR2 1 | setintbyname Wpn_AssaultRifle2 1 | setintbyname Wpn_AutoPistol2 1 | setintbyname Wpn_CryoBlaster 1 | setintbyname Wpn_GethPulseRifle 1 | setintbyname Wpn_GrenadeLauncher 1 | setintbyname Wpn_HeavyPistol2 1 | setintbyname Wpn_MissleLauncher 1 | setintbyname Wpn_NukeLauncher 1 | setintbyname Wpn_ParticleBeam 1 | setintbyname Wpn_Shotgun2 1 | setintbyname Wpn_SniperRifle2 1 | setintbyname Wpn_SuperAssaultRifle 2 | setintbyname Wpn_SuperShotgun 2 | setintbyname Wpn_SuperSniperRifle 2 | setintbyname Wpn_Flamethrower 1 | setintbyname Tec_BovineFortitude 1 | setintbyname Tec_QuarianShields 1" )
-- okay maybe more than a few Image IPB ( but hey i'm on insanity so give me a break!)

FYI: I jumped to another completed career and pressed F11 and F8 to run the key binding command to give me the upgrades and added power to see if that would make legion hate me but he still talked. Maybe he isn't supposed to talk until after you get the IFF? is that true?

So yeah thats it. Any suggestions?

Appreciate it

That method as can be seen was posted on Feburary 8, 2010 and is for all intents and purposes an obsolete method. It is now much simpler to just use the GIBBED ME2 Save Editor to "tick" the squadmates that are desired from the get go.

This has to do with the tech upgrade binding. In ME2 when you upgrade certain things you must first talk to a certain squad member. If you use the binding to bypass that then you effectively bypass that conversation with the squadmate and all future dialog with that companion thereafter for the rest of the game play.

This should not be anything hard to fix.
All that has to be done is to copy the Tech upgrade binding as a new binding that you can seperately use in game and change on this new binding all the upgrade numbers to ZERO and save the ini, run the FIXER and then run ME2. Once you have your character loaded. Push the new binding and then proceed talking to the squadmate in question. They should now respond how they are supposed to as if the game had never been modified.

Sorry for the bit of OT. Does anyone here read/write Czech? I know someone who is interested in pc modding, but the english gets in the way (just trying to use online translation doesn't work well).

I don't really do the pc modding myself, so preferably someone who is also knowledgeable about that. If you are interested in helping or know someone who can pls pm me. Thanks.

@jWells: Yes. He will not talk to you until you get the IFF.

When I recruit him early, I usually just use Gibbed location entries on a chapter_save to start the IFF mission from the top, play it through, and recruit/activate him as normal. This requires hex editing, though, to fix the IFF countdown afterward, so the safest way is just to tick him in with the ticky boxes.

Will look for the helmet code after I get home today.
Just a heads up- it will require adding code for the helmet into the coalesced.ini's character clothing/armor section.

Opps my bad.
Sorry to think otherwise I don't usually use Legion so half way through the typing I forgot that it was him I was writing about (I was thinking of another squadmate)- yet the information in that post still has a valid point on the progression of other squad members.

Thanks, your welcome! :-D Deus Ex H.R. -> a great game! Enjoy it. I bought the limited edition with the bonus disc, there are 3 music tracks that i used from the OST.

Opening Credits
Icarus - Main Theme
Endings

One of the greatest game soundtracks ever!

BTW: Do you know the code for Feron? I know you can play as Aria or Liara in ME2, but do you maybe have the codes for Feron from the Shadow Broker DLC?

Off topic:
I indeed will.
I just love the covert electronic feel but thats the D.E. enviroment (so I understand;)). Doesn't hurt that I like electronic music in general either I suspect. The last time I listened to mainstream music was in 2005, haven't really listened to anything except for energetic Trance (subgenre of the electronic genre) since that fateful day that I heard Darude's version of Sandstorm.

I usually mute the music while I play a game since it seems to break the emersion feel I like to get when playing a game. There are very few exceptions to this...... however I can safely say that the Mass Effect series and now possibly DE.HR. will not have this be so.

On Topic: The helmet code refered to ealier on this page is being (pardon the pun) illusive; still looking though.

i saw in phoenix of thunders video, that you can recruit your squad in any order, and auto reloading weapons
anyone know how to give adrenaline rush to another class, ie infitrator
is there a way to go solo, shepard only for the game? like lone wolf.

This is how to gain acess to whole galaxy and thus whole recruitment.
Reload Refill is done through a binding placed in the coalesced.ini's gamemodedefault section:
Bindings=( Name="PC_Reload", Command="initammo 999 | SwapWeaponIfEmpty | TryReload" )
The final thing is done via either a direct code imput into the INI or through the use of text files.

I am Commander Shepard and i definately agree with that !! :D I do feel exactly the same way. Because of that it is very unfortunate that Jack Wall won't make the score for ME III, but i hope that Clint Mansell will keep the style and feeling of the unique Mass Effect universe soundtracks.

As per phoenix request, I have added option to remove shared cooldowns (and replace them with ME1 style cooldown) + one small bonus into my PCCPatcher.

At least they kept the Galaxy music for Mass Effect 3 pretty much the same (with slight variations of pitch and tempo).
I am sorry to say that I do not off the top of my head know Feron's code but will look it up later tonight and post it tomorrow.

I responded yes earlier when I was remembering a time that this was being asked for when the armor was wanted as a whole including the helmet. As far as I know no one has gotten the helmet without the armor but I will give it another try. I am sorry but as of current I am unable to test due computer system tests (defrag and 5+ other such programs) that will be taking up the good portion of my day. So please feel free to post the results to which I will try as best as I can to respond to.
One of these three should be the helmet but I can make no promises:
Here is the correct PCC:

Hi. I've been trying to go through this and was able to figure somethings out, but...I'm confused as to how to edit ini to play as Tali or Garrus? If someone could please help me with this I would be really appreciative. Saw it on youtube.

Apologies if this has been answered already, but I've just spent ages trying to figure this out and now I'm giving up. Imported a new character from ME1 with the intention of using Aria's armour with modded hair and purple TIM eyes. Worked fine right up until I go to change the eye colour, and when I loaded the game my outfit was glowing bright purple... So my question is, can I do this and not walk around looking like a neon sign? It's obviously something to do with using Emis_Color, but putting "EYE" in front doesn't work.

Any bright ideas? If not I'll have to stick to default red eyes - meh... ^^

My 3rd to last post on Page 24 of MIP3 should get you going in the right direction on how to achieve that result.

Do you mean that certain parts of her armor glowed or that her "whole" armor glowed purple? If it is the later then it could be Texmod related. Otherwise I believe that it could be an issue with the emis code.

The whole armor glows purple. It's not texmod related, tried loading the game without it and still have the same problem. It's literally only when I change the name of the vector to Emis_Color that this happens, if I leave it as default it all works fine (except with red Renegade eyes).

Excuse what follows:
==Q(no pun) time==
What OS do you currently run Mass Effect 2 on?
You don't use any Texmods?
Can you provide a link to the project?
Did you follow the instructions to get TIM eyes from another website?
Or the instructions on page one here of MIP3 to get the Renegrade eyes of different color?
Did you add any codes to coalesced.ini for Aria's outfit or did you add the code for her that is on page 24 of MIP3?
==End Q(no pun) time==

Hope I didn't go overboard with the Q's I hope the A's can reveal greatly what is indeed the issue.

Nope, no overboard, I appreciate the help! This is annoying me now :P

1) Running on Windows7 x64
2) I do use texmods but I've tried loading the save with and without them enabled and it hasn't made a difference, Shep still glows purple
3) No project, just my own messing around. I'm using custom hair, ArmorLocker to get the Aria outfit to show up in-game, and custom eyes
4) I tried the instructions on page 1 of this thread and also tried just renaming the iris color vector to Emis_Color. Same result either way.
5) The only difference between the code I added to coalesced.ini and the one in this thread is that I had it listed under TorsoAppearance (followed the instructions for modding outfits in MIP2 page 1). Will try FullBody, see if that makes a difference.

Thanks!
