Hello?
Anyone there?

Hey I really  love Mass Effect 2, and everything it, but I beat it once vanilla style and wanted to mod one thing in the game.

I wanted to have Garrus' appearance, but hit a snag. I managed to find a Russian Mod that game me a helmet and body armor "disguise" for when i'm off the ship. There is a casual appearance armor that is Garrus' armor for when you're off the ship, but I still have Human Shephard's head. Can anyone please help me somehow replace Human Shephard's head with Garrus' head?

If anyone knows how, can you please pm me?

Thank you for your time :)

I'm looking for a way to add the Death Mask to your inventory from the very beginning. I use some armor mods which allow me to wear headsets, berets and stuff like that. I'm pretty sure that I could just add the helmet by replacing some parts of the code in these mods but I don't know the proper file names for the Death Mask. It just looks so badass and I hate the regular N7 Armor Helmet. It would be even better if I could add some armor bonuses to the Mask instead of that weird negotiation bonus.

  • Open coalesced.ini (back it up first, if you haven't already; open with notepad++)
  • Find [SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]
  • Scroll down until you come across the line: HelmetAppearances=(Id=4,Name=335474,Description=335475,Type=CustomizableType_Helmet,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_HGR_SHP_R.SHPc.HMM_HGR_SHPc_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMM_HGR_SHP_R.SHPc.HMM_HGR_SHPc_MDL",bHasBreather=True,bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True),GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_DeathMask"),PlotFlag=4450)
  • Change PlotFlag=4450 to PlotFlag=-1 (will put it in your inventory from the start)
  • Change ,GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_DeathMask") to GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_CapacitorChestPlate","SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_PowerBelt") for a shield boost and less delay before shield regeneration. This won't show up in the description!
  • Run ME2IniFixer.exe

This has probably been asked a few times, but what is the very best save-game editor out there? I know there are a few variations of Gibbed's editor, so thought I'd ask the experts here.

There is a modified version here on the social site. You may also want to read this thread if gaming on the PC:

Thanks phoenix :-). Essentially all I want to use it for is to correctly set the Conrad Verner and the paragon mission from ME1 (drugged scientists taken hostage) flags.

This worked perfectly. I even managed to make an easy to use mod out of it for ME2 Mod Manager. Thank you.

Instead of the shield boost I just copied the line "SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Helmet" to make the Death Mask use the same bonuses as the regular N7 Helmet.

The mod:
###FILE:..\\BIOGame\\Config\\PC\\Cooked\\BIOGame.ini
[SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]
-HelmetAppearances=(Id=4,Name=335474,Description=335475,Type=CustomizableType_Helmet,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_HGR_SHP_R.SHPc.HMM_HGR_SHPc_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMM_HGR_SHP_R.SHPc.HMM_HGR_SHPc_MDL",bHasBreather=True,bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True),GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_DeathMask"),PlotFlag=4450)

See my post 3rd from the bottom of page 24 of this thread (MIP3).

I saw it but when ever I got to the coalescd.ini notepad thing, its a giant jumbled mess. I've tried messing with stuff in there before, but the game never starts. Do you know how to do it? I'm not very good at modding this game-EA or whoever else made it very difficult to mess with anything in Mass Effect 2.

I wish I could search, but the keyword is too common and wide-spread. Anyway, I would like to know on how to increase default resources (Element Zero, Platinum, Iridium and Palladium) from the very start of the game; Either importing from the final save or fresh game. It's getting tedious to scan the planets :|

Or if it's too much, perhaps there is a way to increase the resources acquired by scanning planets?

Oh no, it's soooo easy to increase the resources you get at the start of the game. I forgot how to do it, but it's incredibly easy. The first thing you need of course is the ME2 Coalesced editor. Once you have that, BACKUP YOUR COALESCED.INI FILE!

Then you can start modding, search for a keyword like 'resources', you'll find the figures you need.

Yeah, I've modded a few stuffs already but can't find the line to mod the resources and when I search for "resources" in the coalesced.ini, there are sooo many of them and I'm not sure which line is the one I'm looking for.

Okay I found it - it's in "SFXGameContent.SFXSeqAct_NewGameBonuses"

There you can edit the bonuses in XP, money, and resources that you get for both an ME1 import (three different levels) and an ME2 NG+.

Cool! Thank you :D

I found another way but it's not new game bonus. Rather, it's considered a cheat to bind a key to add resources any number you like. I guess I'll go with new game bonus. Thanks again~

That other method is great (key binding) for giving yourself a lot of Paragon/Renegade points in an ME2 NG+, as you can't do it otherwise.

I prefer to do it that way (bindings) over the save editor method (breaks my immersion feeling) though the save game editor (listed eariler) is good for other things including paragon and renegade points.......

Otherwise you could try this:
[SFXGameContent.SFXSeqAct_NewGameBonuses]
ME1ImportBonuses=
(BonusMinLevel=1,BonusMaxLevel=49,XPBonus=10000,CreditsBonus=500000,ResourceBonus=200000)
ME1ImportBonuses=
(BonusMinLevel=50,BonusMaxLevel=59,XPBonus=20000,CreditsBonus=700000,ResourceBonus=250000)
ME1ImportBonuses=
(BonusMinLevel=60,BonusMaxLevel=60,XPBonus=40000,CreditsBonus=900000,ResourceBonus=900000)
ME1_RichAchievementCreditBonus=1150000
ME1_ParagonRenegadeMaxBonus=190
SecondPlaythrough_CreditsBonus=200000
SecondPlaythrough_ResourceBonus=50000
SecondPlaythrough_AchievementEnumID=ACHIEVEMENT_24_COMPLETE

:blink:......Talk about overkill.....:lol:

haha usually I set the resources at 500,000 each, but I've never actually used the save game editor. I do use the key binding method to unlock the 'super' weapons ie Revenant, and to give myself lots of paragon and renegade levels.

I do the same thing with the savegame editor -- take out the "scraping by on resources" element, which eliminates the mining madness minigame, and set both paragon and renegade points high enough to ignore the need to adhere to one "side" so that I can just chose the actions and reactions that best reflect the Shep I'm playing.

Does anyone have a list of all of the NPC casual outfits and armors? I downloaded Armor Locker 2.0 and it's missing quite a bit, so I want to add them manually.

Also, where are the sections to add in the clothing options, to tweak weapon stats (to give the Vindicator or Mattock full auto for example), change character loadouts for both player and teammates--I know how to do this in gibbed, but I was wondering if it were possible via the ini file--, and lastly to add AA to the game?

By NPC's do you mean the squadmates or the actual NPC's that you interact with?
All squadmates clothing are listed on the third to last post on page 24.

Clothing options for Shepard go here:
[SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]

Weapons that are not DLC information start here and go on down weapon by weapon:
[SFXGame.SFXWeapon]

If you mean the weapon loadout for everyone? Then I am glad to say that this is indeed possible. That information is actually located here:
[SFXGame.SFXPlayerSquadLoadoutData]

As for to AA; I am sorry to say that I don't use it (jagged edges don't really bother me that much). However if you want to use AA it has been confirmed to be able to use AA through your graphics card control panel.

You could see
this thread it may be of more assistance than an AA challenged individual like myself;).

WELL that post got nuked!:pinched:

I have a problem, the notifications of the ME2 disappear way too fast for me to read them. Is there any way to slow them down? The problem is described better here: http://social.biowar...index/7493380/1

I've been trying to find something related to the notification speed in the ME2CoalescedEditor but so far I haven't found anything.

Ok I dont know where in the ME2 Coalesced Editor program this is (I prefer hands on tweaking the INI) but if you can find this section:
[SFXGame.BioHintSystemBase]

Under it locate these variables:
m_NotificationData=

Search this line of text out to you see this:
DisplayTime=#.#

Change the number higher and that should increase the display length.
=================================================
Here is an example:
Default:
m_NotificationData=(nmType="JournalChange", Priority=100, bCanBeMerged=false, srTitle=325623,
srSubTitle=325623,srBody=325624,srAltBody=325624,DisplayTime=5.0,
sImageResource="GUI_GlobalIcons.Notifications.JournalUpdate_256")

Double the time here:
m_NotificationData=(nmType="JournalChange", Priority=100, bCanBeMerged=false, srTitle=325623,
srSubTitle=325623,srBody=325624,srAltBody=325624,DisplayTime=10.0,
sImageResource="GUI_GlobalIcons.Notifications.JournalUpdate_256")

That should at least double the length of the messages' display.B)

Is there any way to add the fancy suit from the Kasumi DLC to the armor category? Also, is it possible to have the shoulders slot empty?
