Ditto

Nevertheless If things stay the way they currently are via the demo then this thread is the one to watch.

Since viewing the information is now possible hopefully the ability to edit will not be far off.

Already figured out how to give talent points so I could max everything out in the squad screen on the demo...

I've since removed the mod and restored the default c.bin as it is unclear whether or not changes affect MP.

I really have no desire to play the MP part, so it's not anything that would affect me nor would I consider cheating in MP anyway. However, EA is a monster that can and will ban an account without reason, so until BW and EA say modding SP is fine, i'll be staying away from it.

I've already got nearly $100 in the CE edition and EA being able to flippantly turn off my access is too much a risk. Pisses me off, too.

Unfortunately I don't think BioWare will ever say it's OK to mod again.  Chris has stated a few times that they don't support or encourage modding in anyway and players who want to chance it can but that it isn't something BW will encourage. Other games with MP like on Steam or Blizzard usually only punish cheating in MP, not just modding a single player campaign. And if all you want to do is give yourself talent points you can go the TSearch route or any number of similar programs, it's a bit more of a hassle but at least you know you won't be changing anything in MP when you do it.

Possibly.
Still I would like to impliment some certain modification for Single Player only (If I want MP I will go back SW: TOR (Which I will do after I am done with ME3 completey- finish all playthroughs)}

I understand Biowares' standing on online or mulitplayer cheating and I reciprocate.

Nevertheless I would still like to increase the duriation of the interupts and at the very least change the graphics to a more darkened state beyond what is possible via menus (Consider me like PROT from that K-PAX movie).

It wasn't anything that would affect MP, I don't think. It was the usual key bind.

I should go back in and see if the exec text file thingy still works...

The json files are a bit more organized, and if they (ea) doesn't start waving the ban hammer, there seems to be quite a bit more that can be modified vs. the me2 c.ini.

Huh. Just thought of something else. Is the Origin loader going to kill texmod?

From what I remember the single player only requires origin to run the first time to validate everything. Then it's not required unless you're going to play MP.

But this was from a while back and may be different now :(

Able to use the pseudo-console. Many but not all commands work. Haven't been able to use giveweapon, but the weapons nay be disabled/not in the demo at all. Been able to givexp, teleport, etc. Text file is placed in the binaries folder in your documents folder just as with me2.

There's been no word to my knowledge about EA's stance yet, though :(

I don't remember where or when but I remember reading or hearing somewhere back during the 2011 EA coverage that any user created modification would have to be recreated for ME3.... I hope that statement is or remains true........

That's fine with me. Just as long as they don't try to lock us out or have EA start the ban hammer.

I'm finding that much is the same, it's just located in different files and formatted a little differently. But that's to be expected as it's still unreal engine based(?)

Did anybody ever figure out how to get sound to work when using the henchmen armor as your own armor/casual attire?

I swear I must be missing like, something simple or something

Are you using the casual toggle listed in the note of my post on page 24?

I didn't see anything about a casual toggle or anything :\\

I'd just been using some other people's coalesced.ini because theirs always has sound, but no squadmate armor for use as armor outside of the normandy...just NPC casual attire and some NPC Armors

the toggle is under the note but before the blank code replacements.

The lack of this toggle is what usually causes the muting of sound on the Normandy.

Ah, yeah search only brings up toggleflycam

Anyway, this toggle thats somewhere on there, it turns sound on for the whole game? Because, for some reason as I said, when I make the other squadmates' bodies my armor, all the sound in the entire game shuts off, including the normandy, when i make it my casual stuff, it's just shut off in the normandy

Man I am terrible at this modding thing :|

Do the mods censor group discussions or hand out bans for talking about modding? If not we could just start a ME3 Modding group, I still plan to start the ME3 PC Tweaks wiki page once the game comes out but a place where everyone can go to learn from each other on BSN would be still be nice.

I do not think so; I think they just nuke any thread that talks about it.

It is probably the reason in my previous post or the multiplayer issue with modding as to why so many ME3 modding threads are getting closed. I will be waiting to see if they leave the threads that open after release concerning ME3 modding online.

If they do indeed initiate the ban hammer or even the vice thread locker I will head over to the fan site: N7Acadamy Forums.

I think it had more to do with people modding in public games and getting reported. There have been several complaints in the multiplayer forum of people joining games only to find that the enemies couldn't do damage to them or that they had unlimited ammo. The things that everyone in that thread said not to do or to only do in private games.

Good to know there is a fan site as a backup though. Also I discovered why TexMod wouldn't always pull the special effects images when I could see the file. The format that you save the image to doesn't always save a located image but if your restart with a different format type it will. Files TexMod wouldn't save as .JPG would save as BMP, so I assume if you ever have an issue like I did trying to pull graphics and it won't save, simply try other formats.

So the later is true.
It is a shame that multiplayer may make it harder to mod ME3.

As to Texmod I always extract textures as the TGA format to do editing and then save it as a PNG file so that there is no loss of quality in my mods.

Hi guys. Quick question - is it possible to give Jacob the Cerberus Assault Armour (ME2 DLC) or any of the armour from the ME3 demo as his alternate outfit?

Cheers
