Hi guys. Quick question - is it possible to give Jacob the Cerberus Assault Armour (ME2 DLC) or any of the armour from the ME3 demo as his alternate outfit?

Cheers

If you are refering to giving Jacob (ME3 version) the armor from ME2 without a DLC patch for it in ME3 I would have to say no; due to the PCC's still being a pain. However if you mean to give Mr. J in ME2 the ME2 DLC then that should be possible if you follow the information that I wrote on modding ME2 DLC's.

Nuked.

Hi Phoenix, yeah I mean giving Jacob (ME2) the Cerberus Assault Armour DLC from ME2 as his alternate outfit. I tried a simple PCC swap but the game REALLY doesn't like that. I was also looking at the coding, but wasn't sure what coding I should use to replace Jacobs other outfit.

If you know which DLC it is look at the post on page #1 of MIP3 that links to the editing of DLC guns or look on the link below at the moddifying of DLC:

Modding DLC
The guide:
http://social.biowar...8026/45#4366865

The updated Modding DLC method::
http://social.biowar...ndex/2338026/93

It is a similar process.

On another note:
As long as this thread stays alive- please feel free to ask ME3 modding questions here.....

However if anyone asks in another thread where to find out "how to mod ME3" only send them PM's and direct them here and be sure that they know that this is SINGLE PLAYER ONLY modding and going online after editing the game could possibly lead to you being banned on EA sites and maybe a very remote and slim chance that it happens to the game itself.
...

Yeah, Nuke it.

It's more likely the thread will be locked down for going off topic since this is a ME2 thread not ME3.

I'd rather not read another Stanley Woo post.

Am I the only one who finds it sad we need to be sly about what we are doing with products we paid for and legally obtained?

I still think your suggestion a few days ago about the fan forum is a good idea and I'll be posting on the ME3 Wiki so hopefully by keeping backup info on sites other than BSN might be the best way to go.

I'm still confused. I know how to edit the DLC guns, I've done that quite a bit. The problem here is that I'm trying to get the DLC Cerberus Assault Armour as Jacobs alternate outfit. Where is the coding for his alternate outfit though? I have no idea where to put the new code in or how to tell the game to point to it, and the two guides you linked, whilst useful for guns, really don't help for this. I also do not want to use texmod.

The guides are basically to show where to aquire the DLC armor code. Although I do not think that without using Texmod that what you want to do will be possible.

So um, what's the situation with ME3 SP (only) modding now that the game has dropped?

I do not know what Biowares' status is on it (If they delete threads related to it still or not)

I will not be purchasing ME3 till I can get a Origin workaround. I will however set up a modding thread for ME3 on fan site just in case. Please feel free to let me know of anything that develops over the next month (will make the modding thread in April). However it is anything like the ME3 demo then it should be simple enough.

BTW: Is that Enzo in your signature?

So long story short, I just finished another play-through of ME1 and ME2. Shepard was supposed to stay loyal to Ashley, but ended up hooking up with Miranda. I know Gibbed's editor allows you to change who you romanced in ME1. Does anyone know how to do the same in ME2? Or am I going to have to start ME2 over again?

Altair on the left and Ezio on the right. It's actually a much larger sig I made but these boards make it tiny.<_<

Here's the full image

I'll keep an eye on this thread and the N7boards for updates, thanks.

You should not have to start completely over. One method you could try:

G.M.E.2.S.G.E.>RAW>5.Other>Levels>Collection
Set all of these to false, false:
BioD_Nor_002CabinKelly = False, False
BioD_Nor_003CabinTali = False, False
BioD_Nor_004CabinMiranda = False, False
BioD_Nor_005CabinJack = False, False
BioD_Nor_006CabinGarrus = False, False
BioD_Nor_007CabinJacob = False, False
BioD_Nor_008CabinThane = False, False

That should reset the ME2 romances as not being done.

Cool picture nice to see both of them represented. :)
I know all too well about the small signature that is all that is allowed here..... Personally I have a lot to say in a small space.. however I will see my goal accomplished: "Numquam cede, numquam succumbe"=];)

Will start in April when I have a firm grip on ME3...... Hopefully will have a Origin opt out feature by then.... If not I am going to run it in a virtual machine... I am going to take on the Reapers one way or another!:bandit:<_<

I'm trying to access casual costumes for combat for Mass Effect 3 Male Shepard, but I can't geting it to change for combat. I'm was using a pre hack Coalesced file and I've managed to correct modify the Coalesced.bin file under biogames, sfxgame, sfxplayercustomization, casualappearances and fullbodyappearances. (So that I can access the costumes on the normandy and the 1st one will show up at the citadel )

But I still can't get any of my old my old mass effect 2 costumes for combat. Can some please help me? What am I missing here?

http://social.biowar...3070/blog/2541/

Also, is there any way to pull up the old armor menu for Mass Effect 3? I would be thrilled if someone got that working again.

Could be that some of them are no longer there. (I could not say for sure since I still have not ME3.)

You could try using this:
In "SFXGameModeDefault" add the following:
Bindings=( Name="NumPadOne" ,Command="OnlyLoadLevel BioD_Nor_000Cabin | OnTap 2.0 showmenu | OnTap 3.0 OpenGUI Personalization" )
But replacing the highlighted code with ME3's version PCC that would be something along the lines of:
BioD_Nor something something Cabin.:huh:

Besides that I can not say.

 Hey all. Looks like the thread is taking a turn for questions on modding ME3, but I figured I'd ask here anyway.

So I read through quite a few pages in the old thread, but never got through it fully since 100+ pages is impressive, but also time consuming. I'm sorry if the question has been asked before, but I'm just wondering if it's possible to make the casual wear (Evening Wear, I think the name is) you get from Kasumi's loyalty mission into armor. I do have my ini set to use most of the casual wear in the game as well as other things you see NPCs wearing as armor, so I know about that. If it helps, my current character is a femshep.
Can someone confirm if this is possible? Great job on all of the hard work you guys are doing. It's all greek to me. :3

Will be making a Modding thread for ME3 on a fan site come April. To keep thread lock fest from occuring here on the BSN site.
Would that be the Tux on male Shepard?:huh:

I like the mostly black and partial gray outfit with the orange normandy patches.

I was using ( Name="NumPadFive" ,Command="OnlyLoadLevel BioD_Nor_000Cabin | Onlyloadlevel BioD_Nor_002CabinKelly | OnTap 2.0 showmenu | OnTap 3.0 OpenGUI Personalization" )

but I was putting it in Bioinput.ini, engine, players input, and bindings. I just tried to take out the cabin kelly part but that stop the menu from loading.

What happens is, when I enter the old version of the menu code from above, I get the normal escape menu to come up, but the other button that use to pop up, don't show up anymore.

Now that I think about it, I think the problem is with the final part of the command ( OnTap 3.0 OpenGUI Personalization) Because I'm getting the escape menu..... but I still am not getting the other two buttons.

I'm not sure where SFXGameModeDefault is? or if it is the same section as sfxgame? But I don't see a Bindings section in there.

For the changes I have made to get the casual costumes to appear on the normandy, I went directly to biogame.ini, sfxgame, sfxplayercustomization, and change the codes in the casualappearances and fullbodyappearances section to match the old ones.

I'm missing something ridiculously simple, I know it. Can anyone see what I'm somehow missing?

In the demo there was only GameModeBase where bindings were placed that seemed to have any basis on game play. I still do not know if that will be the case when I get ME3.

Hmm try going to ME3's PCC directory and search for this:
"BioD_Nor_" and see if any results come up with cabin being the last part of the file name.

When I use the find button on the "ME3Coalesced-latest" editor I'm using; it take me directly to Bioinput.ini, engine, players input, this is the section where I've already entered (Name="NumPadFive" ,Command="OnlyLoadLevel BioD_Nor_000Cabin | Onlyloadlevel BioD_Nor_002CabinKelly | OnTap 2.0 showmenu | OnTap 3.0 OpenGUI Personalization" )

So it maybe just picking up the script I already entered. I'm searching through sfxgame now trying every sub section. I think I might have found the new script, but I'm not sure how to enter it?

It's possibly ( Name="NumPadFive" ,Command="OnlyLoadLevel BioD_Nor_000Cabin | Onlyloadlevel BioD_Nor_002CabinKelly | OnTap 2.0 sfxmodegui | OnTap 3.0 Shared_ExitSlideshow )

or maybe

( Name="NumPadFive" ,Command="OnlyLoadLevel BioD_Nor_000Cabin | Onlyloadlevel BioD_Nor_002CabinKelly | OnTap 2.0 sfxgamemodelobby | OnTap 3.0 Shared_MPToggleReady )

I'm so confused, I wish I had more experience, I'll test some more varrations

How, that's amazing! Really sorry to hear that Phoenix, I can understand why you'd be reluctant to install Origin again. I can't say I've had any of those problems, but of course each computer reacts differently. Hopefully EA releases a way to play without Origin, though I doubt they will.

Guess I'm lucky the install went smooth. The only issue I had was EA forgot to include an activation code. I contact tech support and they issue me a new one. (It took 45 min to get through, but at least they didn't make me jump through too many hoops.)

Well, I've test those two command lines and varried them and I still can't figure it out. I went find again after pulling up armor locker again and can see the casual and armor menus are listed under sfxsfhandler, Personalization. But I still have no idea of what code to use to get the armor and casual menu to pop up.
