For Mass Effect 3, you needed to load a package in order to bring up the customization menu.
But I have no idea how to load packages in ME3.

Sometime ago i finished my perfect ME2 perfect savegame, i imported and just recently finished ME3. Thing is now i want to make a run saving everyone from the ME2 crew, and to do that, i need Wrex to die in ME1, along with maelon data destroyed. I've tried modding the savegame with the modified gibbed's, and while maelons data flag is succesully changed, i'm completely unable to make Wrex dead.
I've tried lots of things, some pretty clever, some stupid and some desperate, but no matter what i do, Wrex continues to live and appear in Tuchanka in ME2, i'm starting to think that i have to reset Tuchanka in ME2 so that everything starts to play from the start (the greeting of Wreav, the side missions there, etc), and even though i've tried to hex edit the savegame myself, i've failed, as im not sure which strings i need to touch.
At this point, i'm open to any advice or help.... seriously, any

How, that's amazing! Really sorry to hear that Phoenix, I can understand why you'd be reluctant to install Origin again. I can't say I've had any of those problems, but of course each computer reacts differently. Hopefully EA releases a way to play without Origin, though I doubt they will.phoenixofthunder wrote...
Because after this I do not even want to chance installing Origin!Captain_Obvious_au wrote...
Why don't you just run Origin in a sandbox?
I live by BSTS (Better Safe Than Sorry)
Hopefully.
If not I dare not say what I would be required to do once I buy Mass Effect 3 next month.....

Guess I'm lucky the install went smooth. The only issue I had was EA forgot to include an activation code. I contact tech support and they issue me a new one. (It took 45 min to get through, but at least they didn't make me jump through too many hoops.)
Well, I've test those two command lines and varried them and I still can't figure it out. I went find again after pulling up armor locker again and can see the casual and armor menus are listed under sfxsfhandler, Personalization. But I still have no idea of what code to use to get the armor and casual menu to pop up.
I am sorry did not mean to confuse you. I meant to search the directory for the ME3 PCC files with a search function not in the the coalesced editor:
phoenixofthunder wrote...
Hmm try going to ME3's PCC directory and search for this:
"BioD_Nor_" and see if any results come up with cabin being the last part of the file name.

Indeed.

First question:
Are you using the normal Gibbed editor or the modified Gibbed editor version?

M.E.2.S.E>Plot>ME1 Imported Plot Table>Flags
If you want Wrex to be in ME2 and ME3:
Tick "Wrex Recruited"
........
Though if understand that you want Wreav instead of Wrex for ME2 and ME3 then this is what you need to do:
Tick
Wrex Recruited
[Virmire] Wrex Killed by ...... (either of those two choices- BUT NOT both).
Then save the save and run the game and it should work as intended now.
*Tested and it does indeed work as intended now*

Nope, that won't work, i've already tried it, just chose one, but when i import in ME3, on the ME2 import notes it says that Wrex is alive.
I guess the problem is that i have already finished the game and spoke with Wrex at Tuchanka, so i'll have to do it manually... i'm actually trying to use the Raw strings to do it following this guide:
pastebin.com/raw.php
EDIT: Phoenix just uploaded the savegame
Could you please modify it in you PC? Maybe i'm something i'm overlooking

Do you know of any way to possibly find out?Indeed.
The file names and code are probably different for ME3.

Looking in the PCC directory of the file structure of ME3's location on the hard drive and doing a direct comparison to ME2's is the only way I see at current since I do not have ME3.

I don't think the file names are the problem, just the command to load those packages.
However unless ME3 has a PCC that is directly named BioD_Nor_000Cabin then no matter what the coding I do not believe that it would work from the get go. I still advise looking for a similar file name to the one above in green to atleast get the code started heading in the right direction.

However, StreamLevelIn and OnlyLoadLevel no longer loads packages.

Posté 12 mars 2012 - 04:16
I see,
BioD_Nor.pcc
BioD_Nor_100Cabin.pcc
BioD_Nor_100Cabin_LOC_INT.pcc
BioD_Nor_100CabinConv.pcc
BioD_Nor_100CabinConv_LOC_INT.pcc
BioD_Nor_100CabinDLC.pcc
So maybe something like this? I'm not sure if Opengui would still apply
( Name="NumPadFive" ,Command="OnlyLoadLevel BioD_Nor_000Cabin | Onlyloadlevel BioD_Nor_100Cabin_LOC_INT | OnTap 2.0 showmenu | OnTap 3.0 OpenGUI Personalization")

Posté 12 mars 2012 - 04:19
It opens the customization menu while in the cabin or armory, but doesn't open otherwise.
The problem being that the OnlyLoadLevel and StreamLevelIn commands don't seem to do anything anymore.

Posté 12 mars 2012 - 04:46
Thank you that is what I required to at least get this to starting to make a return.
Untill someone can break apart the PCC's like they did with ME2 (Gibbed probably) this is the best I can give you (need to know the code for the StreamIn function):
( Name="NumPadFive" ,Command="OnlyLoadLevel BioD_Nor_100Cabin | OnTap 2.0 showmenu | OnTap 3.0 OpenGUI Personalization")
@HJF4
Thankyou for confirming that OnlyLoadLevel still functions or it would not have even opened.
Hmm maybe adding BioD_Nor_100Cabin to the packages to always load in the C.

No, that's incorrect.Thankyou for confirming that OnlyLoadLevel still functions or it would not have even opened.
It doesn't function.
OnlyLoadLevel isn't even recognized as a command.
If you made the binding "OnTap 2.0 showmenu | OnTap 3.0 OpenGUI Personalization" it's the same thing as including OnlyLoadLevel. Meaning, OnlyLoadLevel does nothing. Neither does StreamLevelIn.

Dag nab it.
Is there a tool out yet that can rip the PCC's apart?
#1997
Posté 12 mars 2012 - 04:54
The extractor. I've been using this to find the file names and structure.
But like I said, this doesn't matter until we can actually load these packages.

Hey all. Looks like the thread is taking a turn for questions on modding ME3, but I figured I'd ask here anyway.
So I read through quite a few pages in the old thread, but never got through it fully since 100+ pages is impressive, but also time consuming. I'm sorry if the question has been asked before, but I'm just wondering if it's possible to make the casual wear (Evening Wear, I think the name is) you get from Kasumi's loyalty mission into armor. I do have my ini set to use most of the casual wear in the game as well as other things you see NPCs wearing as armor, so I know about that. If it helps, my current character is a femshep.
Can someone confirm if this is possible? Great job on all of the hard work you guys are doing. It's all greek to me. :3
Will be making a Modding thread for ME3 on a fan site come April. To keep thread lock fest from occuring here on the BSN site.
Would that be the Tux on male Shepard?
Awesome, glad there'll be an ME3 thread soon. Anyway, yeah, it was the tux male Shepard wore for Kasumi's mission, but I need the female version, which was a dress. Really all of the mods I have for ME2 at this point were from pre-made ini files and such, and I have used a model viewer to look at the files myself, but there are a lot, as everyone no doubt knows.
