I've been trying to read through these long threads to look for a solution to my answer but haven't found one, so I'm going to ask...

I know people have been able to swap other characters onto their Shepards, but is it possible for me to swap Samara's character model for Kaidan in Mass Effect 2? I purely just want a visual swap, but I have no idea if it's possible and what steps to take. Any help would be incredibly appreciated.

Hi there! There are 4 things I would like to edit or change in ME2, but I have no idea about how to do them, if they can be edited, maybe you could help me Posted Image:

I think that the Vanguard, as it´s for being an expert in close and melee combat, should be a little stronger and with a little bonus in melee combat than the original ME2 class, so the Vanguard would be less stronger than the Soldier but a little stronger than the other classes; so I would like to do these 3 things:

- Increase in a little % the health points that the Vanguard gets in each one of the 4 ranks in Assault Mastery/Champion, so they would be +7%, el +12% y el +17% (+2%), and in the Champion class it increases the 23% (+3%), instead of the originals 5, 10, 15 y 20 %.

- As Vanguards often fight at point-blank range, the melee attack is more crucial to them than it is to the other classes, that´s why I would like to add an extra property to this class, a little bonus in melee combat: a +2% melee damage bonus in rank 1, +4% in rank 2, +6 % in rank 3, and +6% in rank 4 (something as the weapon damage bonus of +3%, +6%, +9% and +9%).

- I suppose that the Soldier´s omni-blade is just for the ME3, right? Because it´s an awesome detail that I would like to add to the Vanguard Posted Image.
 
Another thing I would like to change, the main reason of my post: the Blood Dragon Armor for Mass Effect 2 is really amazing, but its stats are just of a medium armor (+15% Power Damage, +10% Shield Strength), it´s not bad, but I wish it had better stats, that it was more powerful, something like the Blood Dragon Armor for the ME3, as we can read in http://masseffect.wi...od_Dragon_Armor (+10% Power Recharge Speed, +30% Power Damage, +20% Shields) plus some Melee and Weapon Damage. Or maybe something like the Kestrel Armor (+30% Melee Damage, +5% Headshot Damage, +11% Weapon Damage, +25% Shield Strength, +5% Spare Heavy Weapon Ammo Capacity). Or the Terminus Assault Armor.
I mean I would like to have a powerful armor for my Vanguard but with the appereance of the Blood Dragon Armor, maybe something like this: (+10% Power Recharge Speed, +30% Power Damage, +20% Shields, +14% Melee Damage, +7% Weapon Damage).

I suppose I have to use the "ME2 Coalesced Editor" and the "ME2 PCC Patcher", but please, keep in mind I have no idea at all Posted Image, so I would appreciate that, if you can help me, you could give me simple instructions: "you have to open this file with this tool, go to this file, modify this parameter for changing this to that, then save, later you have to do this, then that, ...". Again, if it´s possible to edit all the things I would like to change.

Just started a new FemShep game as a vanguard and would like to use Tela Vasir's armor. I don't have any modding experience, but I found the instructions on how to do it in the previous version of this thread easy enough and I used something called "Mass Effect 2 Coalesced Editor v1.0.0.32" to edit my game.

In the "[SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]" section, add the following:

I can't get it to work though. When I hit "2" Miranda disappears if she is in my squad and the menu I get after hitting "1" is some kind of weird combination of the pause menu and the armor locker:

As you can see I can equip Tela Vasir's armor, but parts of my default N7 armor is still visible (see the legs). Which parts of the N7 armor is visible depends on which of the legs, gauntles, and shoulder pads I equipped last. So if I equip the gauntlets last the N7 gauntlets will be visible above the armor instead of the legs as shown in the screenshot.

And when I finally hit "Apply" it doesn't work. Making changes to the N7 armor works this way, but Tela Vasir's armor isn't visible.

I suspect it is me using the modding program wrong which is causing this, cause when I now open the program again after having applied and saved the changes only the second step in "[SFXGame.SFXGameModeDefault]" is still there while the two other changes I made are gone.


EDIT: I did the entire process again and actually got it to work, though Miranda still disappeared after hitting "2". She reappeared after a loading screen when I entered a new area, but then Vasir's armor was gone and the game crashed after a few seconds. I restarted the game and tried to equip it again, but nothing changes after hitting "Apply". I guess if I mod the game again it will work until the next loading screen, although doing that for an entire playtrough isn't really an option, especially since I won't be able to use Miranda at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I do not think it is possible to replace another model besides Shepard in ME2.

I believe that your best bet would be to add the game effects code to the end of your armor pieces.

The reason that the N7 armor is poking through is probably due to the fact that the blank armor codes may be missing......

Try using the method on the following page here on MIP3. It is a major pdate on David's method:

Maybe that can help set you down the right course of action to get the armor working correctly.

I know this has been asked a lot of times, I just can't really find them.

How do I change armor effects?
I think I just add the SFXGame.SFXGameEffect of other armors to the armor of my choice. However, when I do that, I don't see any changes in the armor that I just modified.
I want to know, are the changes invisible or something of that sort but still takes effect or am I really just doing it wrong?

Is there a way to hide certain weapons on your back? I don't like seeing a huge bundle of crap hanging on to the back of my armor.

Finally managed to get my Shepard wearing both Garrus and Tali's armour on missions. Still have a problem with Shepard's chin and hair poking through Tali's helmet when on the Normandy though. Not sure what I can do about that...

Just wondering: Is there a code to wear the Alternative Appearance Pack 1 & 2 DLC armour for Tali and Garrus? Do you happen to know the PCC line for those armours? Or the code for Garrus' undamaged armour?

If you set the armor as casual wear and wear it off the Normady it may work as such but I do not believe that it can be certain.

Glad that I could help.
You could try shrinking Shepards' head with gibbed's save editor......
I unfortunately however do not know the codes off the top of my head but if you look in the AAP DLC folders at the BIOGame.ini it should have the codes listed there.

I just want it so that when I put a weapon away it disappears rather than holstering on my back. I'm trying to find a parameter in the editor that would be associated with the model or placement of a holstered weapon, no luck so far.

Looked through the entire coalesced.ini and couldn't find anything that I could tell pertained to where and how the items holster. Though I assume they're different in some way since they "collapse" on your back, it pretty much has to have a different model for that right? Plus you nice in cutscenes if you still have an ammo power on you can see the outline of it and it's obviously in a different place on the gun since it changes shape.
If I could just find the model parameters or something and remove them I would think that should work.

Please advise.

I may be wrong but from what I have seen the guns in the scenes are the same gun models as used in actual game play except that they are reversed; thus explaining the holo ammo icons being on opposite sides. Also from what I have seen the gun models in the game were designed to collapse from the start and were designed to expand and contract as one model. I have only been able to achive this using The Illusive Man's Tuxedo as in game armor.

How do I get Samara's Casual Appearance?
I have her appearance for armor but Idk her code for the casual appearance, does anyone know how I can find it?

EDIT:Nvm I've got her entire person as a casual outfit, but my Femshep face is overlapping Samara's face, how do I delete my Shepard's headmesh so Samara's face will show for the outfit?

But I do have one question, Everytime I change worlds I have to "Re Cook" by pressing NumPad5 and selecting Samara's outfit. Is there a way where I can make it automatically cook everytime I go somewhere?

Also I can't choose her loyalty outfit, Do I need to add new arm, legs, chest, parts w/ that have the loyalty clothing ID, in addition to having the BioH_Mystic_01 package? or should the package just change the regular armor to loyalty?

Unfortunately due to the design of ME2 the game flushes the loaded packages at the start of a new level. You could try adding the MDL directory to C.ini section: "Packages to always cook".

Have you completed her loyality mission successfully? I think to have access to the outfit that needs to be completed first but I can not be sure.

Hi, can anyone help? I'm trying to get Shepard to wear the head and armour of one of his squad in an area where Shepard's helmet is required. e.g: The Collector Vessel and aboard the Rayya.

I've tried numerous times but the only thing that happens is this: social.bioware.com/3515804/albums/1325797/199648 Or this: social.bioware.com/3515804/albums/1325797/199649

I can wear squad member's armour on missions: social.bioware.com/3515804/albums/1325797/199650 but, as yet, I can't get Shepard to wear a squad member's head as casualwear on the Normandy, all I get is the squadmembers body with Shepard's head: social.bioware.com/3515804/albums/1325797/193029

Is there anything I can do? I'm editing via notpad++. Is there a simple code I've missed out to allow me to switch squad member heads in casualwear? I can wear armour on the Normandy by using:
Bindings=( Name="NumPadTwo", Command="set SFXPawn_Player bUseCasualAppearance false" )and wear casual clothes by using:
Bindings=( Name="NumPadOne", Command="set SFXPawn_Player bUseCasualAppearance true" )But so far, I haven't been able to figure out how to wear a squad member's head AND armour as casualwear.

Yea I completed her loyalty mission, but I still only have access to her regular outfit =/

Also do you know if it's possible to execute an animation with a key binding?

Example:I want to do the Shepard Shuffle to I set that animation to a key binding.
Is something like that possible?

Idk, for me I have the full body.
I could upload my Coalesced and you can take a look at it if you want, but I honestly don't know why my head shows.

Yes, the code I'm using for the blank head is:

The problem is I can't seem to use Garrus' head in casual appearance on the Normandy - And in areas such as the Collectors Vessel or aboard the Rayya. If I switch to the blank head all I get is a Shepard with no head...

Would love to know how Jessica1995 managed to wear Samara's head and armour aboard the Normandy. Was wondering if there was a toggle I was missing that allowed me to switch to an NPC's head in casual appearance?Posted Image
