I was searching for information on how to make that your squad would be always with helmets in combat (missions) and i havent found anything.
Is it possible to make?
And is it possible to edit headshot damage in mass effect 2 and add them so all weapons or player classes had it like in mass effect 3?
Thankyou

The only thing that takes it away from being as good or better than Dragon age one, or Oblivion is the almost impossible for adverage people to mod it in any effective way.
I personally am truly hoping for someone somewhere to develope a very good RPG with a very nice Original quest line and include a very user friendly Game editor as was done with Oblivion, and somewhat with skyrim, but if possible give the editor even more freedome, and packaging alternatives, and good animations editing abilities.
Graphics have reached a good point, I feel new games that just up the graphics and tell the same story are redundant, and are only there to sell hard ware, not game play.
I was discouraged when I saw that Miranda got all the hot clothing, and body, and my Shepard got the clunky, bumpy armor, not that some of it is not nice, but I just felt cheated in the clothing, and body area. SoO
I have been working on getting this functioning. To allow me to wear Miranda's clothing.
[[Side Note]]*****************
I have tried the texmod, but now avoid it like the plague, as it drops me from 110 to 140 FPS all the way to 17 and 20 FPS which is stupid, and I just don't like its function process that much. ( I run with Vsync on normally, and always hold a solid 60 FPS [Which is my Monitors Refresh Rate])
So I doubt I will be using TexMod at all.
*******************************
Casual Loyalty and White Clothing seem to function fine.
Problems.
[[I have finished the Loyalty Quest for Miranda, in case any think that is problem]]
1. I can not get the black or loyalty armor to work at all [[Casual Clothing works fine] And the white armor, and Open showing Bra work very well ]. I will post my Caolesced changes here of what I have done so far, and perhaps someone can help me, or perhaps it will help others who are trying to accomplish the same thing.
2. I have to use the Bindings tap to change clothing back after each new level loading. which is upsetting, and I was wondering if there is a work around this.
So right now numpad 6 opens the dressing menu, and numpad 5 will load the white or original Miranda outfit, and numpad 8 seems to help with getting the Black causual outfit on. The black outfit or loyalty outfit seems to depend on if you have finished Miranda's Loyalty mission or not.
3. I believe that the "SeekFreePackage" command is most helpful maybe only in a new game startup, but am not certain ?
Here I will post My change to the Caolesced file, including my Fov changes, I believe I have left enough descriptions in the Code
for easy understanding, of any familiar with the INI editing at all.
Do all editing with NotePad ++
and Of course you need ME2IniFixer.exe placed in your Origin\\Mass Effect 2\\BioGame\\Config\\PC\\Cooked folder. and execute It
After each Caolesced editing session.

The Tag's Example:
[SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]
are just to let you know what erea of the Coalesced file the edits need to be placed under.
I know most people will know this, but some might think they can just copy what I have, and past it into the Coalesced, and it will work.
The Edits have to or should be placed in the right areas of the Coalesced file. So I have placed these in the Code so you will know where each line of the edit's needs to go.
{{{The dummy locations in the Code labeled with comments like "[code]Kim Miranda Arm Dummy Probably only needed one of these" are areas where the default Arms's, leg's exc, exc will not be shown, yet there effects will still be viable. so if you use the chest piece move the slider to one of these areas to keep the original armor from showing through}}}I have also changed the stream_vixen_00 = true in the save game.
Which sometimes for no reason I have figured out yet will be turned back to False.
I also added : Stream_Vixen_01
And set it to True
but is also gets removed as new saves are made.
I was wondering if there might be and "MassEffect2.exe - SeekFreePackage=BioH_Vixen_00" [ Type of extention ]
That might at least at initial load up fix this problem. that was just and example, not a functional thing, but those that know what I am talking about might know.
*****************************
From another Post I got this some help on the skin match between head and body.
*******************************
To get the skin tone click on Raw tab, from 2.squad select player, then appearance, after that morph head, and vector parameters.
You will now be able to see the skin tone field in the second line.
Click on it, then enter the following values:
A 1
B 0.2759729 >>>Kim Original on Nan Shepard 0.7817508, 0.442323, 0.4368128, 1
G 0.5592241
R 0.9999999
*******************************
Which I found helpful, but the makeup differences, can still leave the skin tones a bit off. and if you are not using "texmod" [with a Mod that fixes the neck] always set your characters neck size as small as possible when starting a new game, the neck will still glitch a little, but I personally don't find it very distracting.
These tone edits will make your character have a very light colored skin tone, I know of no way with out using A "texmode" to change the outfits skin tone [If there even is one]. so this is the only way to get a reasonable match that I have found.
These are all just things I have found out.

Can anybody tell me how to get this armour available in Mass Effect 2? Not sure how to go about it, maybe replacing the Cerberus armour? I want it for a femshep specifically. What would be the deal with the helmet? I know it's possible, as I've seen other people with it, I just don't know how to do it.
That is the Partisan/Skirmish from ME1 and it is available to get in ME2 for Shepard to wear but requires the code..... of which I cant seem to currently find... also be it noted that the Partisan/Skirmish armor will only show as camo style green.
Thanks to anyone who replies

Is it possible to force Shepard to wear his armor on the Normandy in ME1?
Want to cover up the back of his head for a video.
Beyond the first part of ME1 I do not believe so. Best option I could give is do some after effects to the video to "make it look like" the back of his head is covered.
If you are referring to ME2 however it is possible for him to wear armor on the Normandy. Just requires extra clothing lines be added. Take a look at my mesh code project to set yourself going in the right direction.

Also - is there a way to get the breather helmet and N7 armor as a casual for ME2, like you can do in ME3?
If I can't do it in ME1, ME2 footage on the Normandy would work OK.
This requires adding them in the [SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player] section as casual codes as well as having them as armor or torso codes.

Well if you consider a sniper gun a head shot weapon then yes... also the other is possible as well by modifying the weapon loadout section of the c.ini.

hey i have a question. i dont know if anyone still looks at these threads or not, but i figure i give it a try anyways. can someone help me on how i bind keys in the me2 mod manager utility? i remember there was a way, i could put a certain key bind in, and it would let me use casual appearances outside of the ship. like for say, if i wanted to wear miranda's loyalty uniform. i had the key bind on my old computer, but the hard drive fried, and i lost everything, and now i can't remember how to put bindings in. i know its simple, just need some help here. thank you.
GameModeBase and GameMode Default
follow the binding setting styles listed there and also place any new bindings there.

As to Texmod are you using nvidia or ati/amd? The latter brand of cards have a history of trouble with Texmod.
Also Texmod does not take kindly to VSync and can really lag with it enabled.

I am not new to modding, just this game,
If I can not run Vsync, I normally don't play games, I like very stable FPS, and do not like Tearing of images.
However I do turn it off when necessary, just don't like too. I just am not sold on the "TexMod" software, I did not like it in Kotor [Sith Lords], and I don't really like it here.
I think in my Coalesced code I explained that I have everything working, except the Loyalty armor. In casual the loyalty armor is fine, as well as the bra showing.
The white, or normal miranda, and bra showing Armor are working fine, the Loyalty just never seems to pop in.
I am sure it is just some minor thing I have miss typed, but I have yet to find it.
{{ I have Installed the happy ending Mod for ME3 now, and I may start playing it again, I could not bear to play it again with the default endings. So:
BioH_END_vixen_00= White
BioH_END_vixen_01= Black
If you have completed her loyality quest and are still having trouble getting the black version open the save editor and go to Plot>Henchmen>Flags and make sure that "was loyal, is loyal, 1st appearance and alternate appearance are selected.
A bit off-topic:
Kotor 2 had Texmods? That is news to me. I always used the Kotor tool and extracted the textures in tga form moddified them and put them in the games' override folder instead of using Texmod for the Kotor games.... I am about to install RCM for Kotor2 and run a new campaign..... Seeing the card that you use I guess this is why Texmod works ok for me: Nvidia Geforce GTX 650TI. ATI/Raedon/AMD have problems from the start with Texmod. I guess I am blessed that FPS dont really bother me nor screen tearing as long as the FPS is at or above 30.
I still have not played through ME3... well not past Mars anyway.... I was waiting for all DLC and modifications including the one you mentioned plus these two:(http://social.biowar.../index/16558775 and http://social.biowar...810/12#16536676)

But I have copied your advise, and will try it latter when I have the time, and see if I can revise my Miranda Loyalty Chest armor, and get it to show in game, I did sort of understand that the
(Male="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)
was all that was needed, but I had it in my mind that I needed the Override
FemaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTb.HMF_MIR_LGTb_MAT_1a"
To actually get the black to show up. where the .LGTb would indicate that I wanted to load the Loyalty outfit.
But very much of this is new to me, I still have trouble understanding why when I use
SeekFreePackage=BioH_vixen_01In the [Engine.PackagesToAlwaysCook] area
I still have to force a loading of the textures every time I load into a new area.
Bindings=( Name="NumPadEight", Command="Onlyloadlevel BioH_vixen_01 | Onlyloadlevel BioD_EndGm1_110ROMMirranda")Unless they limit the textures or package loading to a set number in the Main exe file.
{ Or possibly in the Coalesed files, I did see some questionable functions there that made me think they might be limiting the number of Packages that were Seek-able at any one time.}
I would think this command { by its description }, or function would keep it loaded, or keep checking that it was loaded.
But thank you phoenixofthunder for your response. I just was trying to help, and get a little help if possible, and your last post was very useful.
PS, and Yes she is loyal, as I finished ME2 with all shipmates & fish alive again for about the third time. and I have her optional uniform in squad information.
But I will confirm that in the Save editor
As for texmod, and Kotor Sith lord. I for get what texture Mod it was I tried to use, but that was the reason I had texmod already installed, I had just recently re installed that game, and downloaded a hugh reworking of it.
{which added much material that was always on the disk (or in the game, but never used), which I have the original disk, or actually 4 disks It was on CD when I bought it in 2005 or 2006 I think. and I think added some more original material to the game} It is still a very fun Action RPG game to play. I found the reworking after I finally got everything working at 1920 X 1080 to be very enjoyable.}
I might have goten the material at, or from a link on this page.

I don't exactly remember.

The material override will only work with casual but when using as torso the MDL is all that the game will read. Also the seek free package code makes the game aware you are wanting to use that file but only puts it in the wings so to speak. In order to actually load the file we must force it into the game world thus the reason for the keybinding. As to why the textures do not stay loaded that is rather a simple thing to answer:
Think of ME2 like a first person shooter game that has levels. At the end of each map the slate is wiped clean and thus when a new map is loaded the previous changes have been wiped out and nullified.
Indeed the TSLRCM mod makes KOTOR2 playable again.... almost a rehatch of me3 after the me3 "fixing" mods lol,

The armors the player can wear come with a white base texture and a few tint/stripe files, but i've so far not been able to figure out how to get it looking right.
I'd like to try my hand at creating a few nice renders as well.

Well if you look at Shepards armor it consists of helmet / shoulders / torso / legs and each is a different mesh.
But they all come with a white-ish texture. In game you use the color sliders to change this but I'm a bit at a loss on how to do this correctly outside the game without the end result looking like somebody just threw paint on there. (aka, badly =p)

I am probably wrong and I am not sure if this will help you achieve your goal but you may want to look at my mesh code project and add the following sectors of codes that begin with the below statements to the [SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player] C.ini section:
SpecAppearances
PatternColorAppearances
Tint1Appearances
Tint2Appearances
Hope that helps.

Hope that helps.
mmm no but thanks :-)
I'm trying to get it to look the same way in photoshop / blender then as it looks in game.
The armor textures come without color.

Edit: Made some progress by following phoenixofthunder's instructions on page 24, but now Thane's outfit shows up as nothing but the Recon Hood texture stretched over Thane's skull with no body, even after I press the key I bound that to and it loads for half a second. Thane does disappear if I load the outfit while I'm near him. His head works but I don't want to use his head. Any ideas where I'm going wrong? I'd post my .ini for perusal but I'm not sure how.
Edit dos: Got Zaeed's armor working for chest and casual the exact same way so it must just be an issue with alien bodies specifically.

I'm wondering if I can change Shepard's dress for Kasumi's heist in ME2? I've changed the dress for Citadel DLC in ME3 and I'd like to do the same for that mission. Is there an id no. specifically for that mission? Thanks!

1:load your save game
2:there is five tabs, choose "raw"
3:open "player" menu
4:open "appearance" menu inside "player" menu
then there is multiple IDs
all of them are really simple if you have used the editor a long time..
anyways: the id you are searching for is the casual appearance id,
dress' id is 40 so the normal(the original) casual ids are from 0 to 5 (unless i remember terribly wrong)

open you consealed editor
or use RCW mod manager to create a me2mod file (thats what i did)
this for the mod manager (if you use it)
###FILE:BIOEngine.ini
[Engine.Engine]
-bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=true
+bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=False
or this for the consealed editor
find this part of text :
[Engine.Engine]
then type under it:
-bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=true
+bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=False
then save it and run consealed ini fixer
(BTW the mod manager was easyer for me so i suggest using it..)
only bug there is it f**** up sounds on the normandy and in some random missions.....
but then those armors should appear correctly.
qaskew24 did you mean by owerwriteing the existing skin the leg, arm, head and so on keep showing up?
if yes then you have to use the blank armor pieces heres mine
(copy this to mod manager)
###FILE:BIOGame.ini
[SFXGame.SFXPawn_Player]
+ShoulderAppearances=(Id=100,Type=CustomizableType_Shoulders,GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Shoulders"),PlotFlag=-1)
+ArmAppearances=(Id=100,Type=CustomizableType_Arms,GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Arms"),PlotFlag=-1)
+LegAppearances=(Id=100,Type=CustomizableType_Legs,GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Legs"),PlotFlag=-1)
btw when useing these you need to have a helmet or something when useing all of these at once...

I am new to modding, it is pretty easy, I keep having the same problem. i have the skin tone down. but the regular uniform continue to bleed thru. I am looking for a better program to use to overwrite the existing skin and replace it with mine, I know I am missing something. i have about 60 outfits to modd of the females in mass effect 2- but I guess the paint program I am using don't allow it. What is the best program to use to do this. I am a disable vet with alot of time.

Does Thane's outfit not show up on Shepard? I edited my coalesced to add "BIOG_DRL_THN_LGT_R.LGTa.DRL_THN_LGTa_MDL" to the end of the casual and torso appearances but it seems like it just shows up as Jacob's outfit. What should I have done?

Hello I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this, I've figured out how to play as Liara, and would just wondering if anyone knew how I could also get the asari stripper outfit, since every mod I've seen only allows me to select the human outfit, which obviously doesn't go well with an Asari.
Thanks
which ME do you need help me2 or me3?
