I'm re-starting Dragon Age and hope to finish it this time.  I've only gone as far as the entrance to Lothering before when RL-issues called me away from gaming.

Anyway, I'm looking for recommended cosmetic mods for this game -- nothing that alters the game rules or other stats.  I'm looking for things to enhance the visuals/sound/ambiance/immersion of the game, maybe some high-res textures or such.  I've a few mod sites that I've looked at, but I wanted to see what the community recommends as well.

For those links I have not provided, you can simply use search string in dragonagenexus.com to find the individual mods.

Any other mods that you could choose should be limited to ONLY the face mods OF YOUR MAIN CHARACTER. I would stay away from using any other mods that change your companions and/or NPCs facial appearance because 2. Dragon Age Redesigned version 7.3 already does this.

Similary Natural Bodies all in One changes your default underwear look (when armor unequipped) to nude model. So you should not use any other mods that change your nude appearance.

4. 5. and 6 female proportions fix resizes the female body proportions of respective races WHEN ARMOR IS EQUIPPED to make them look more 'female'.   Since these mods only affect female model when equipped of amor, they do not conflict with Natural Bodies mod.

Bottom line - what I've jot down is all you really need to change both the cosmetic appearnce of face and body (in both naked and armored form).

3. Phonex Armory for Females is not a necessary mod but too good to be missed out on.  It gives you a bunch of weapons and armory to choose from but you need to spend money to buy them (In other words they don't simply pop up in your inventory once mod is activated).  So basically you can spend money to buy them if you wish or simply ignore them.

I was also interested in Amazon Curves but it is still in beta stage and the last time it was updated was back in January.  I am concerned as to whether Amazon Curves Beta releas is compatible with the latest Natural Bodies All in One version 3.0.

Can you shed some light on this concern?

Well, when you've got an entire huge modding community, like this one, where thousands of people are working on the same game with no coordination or communication or oversight, you're always going to find more than one person working on the major problems, because some modder in San Francisco who gets caught up trying to solve the +healing bug has no way of knowing that a modder in London is doing the same thing. Add to that the fact that if one person only partly solves a major problem, any further improvements by somebody else are going to be a separate mod rather than the same project. And weird body proportions and pasted-on-undies sex scenes are, frankly, a major problem, so.

Plus, of course, gamers as a general subculture can tend to have a pretty juvenile and obsessive attitude about sex. There has never been a moddable game that didn't have sixteen variations on big-breasted naked female mods for teenage boys to ****** to within three days of launch. But mostly it's just because weird proportions and pasted-on-undies are both entirely obnoxious and difficult for one person to easily entirely fix.

What about Natural Bodies?

What about Natural Bodies? If you're asking, why are there so many other mods when Natural Bodies exists, most of the nude mods that exist now are extensions of it. Hence the all-in-one pack. If you're asking, is it any good, yes. It's excellent.

Anyway, if you're looking for texture recs, you will either love or hate JBTextures. I eventually ditched it myself - as gorgeous as the buildings and armors become, I couldn't deal with some of the wood and clothing alterations - but a lot of people swear by it.
