The dialogue associated with this is one that triggers when you talk to Leliana in Orzammar. I've seen quite a few posts from people who can't get the dialogue, and I'm at a loss to explain why. When you initiate dialogue with Leliana in Orzammar, she should start speaking to you about Orzammar starting with the line: "I have heard much about the halls of the dwarven kings, but the stories do it no justice." This dialogue continues on to talk about the nugs, and has a condition to display if the party is in Orzammar, and to only display once per playthrough. How much she likes you and whether you're in a romance with her, are not pre-requisites for seeing that dialogue, based on what I can see in the toolset.

If you recruit the Werewolves you can tell their representative in camp that he can eat Schmooples. He says 'No they're really fatty... I shouldn't... You know what, I think I will. You, um, might want to look away."

Unfortunately nothing happens and schmooples stay. Guess Bioware didn't have the guts or weren't able to script Leliana's reactions so they decided not to do it at all.

I don't think you can get that dialogue all the time. There's probably only certain "time window" for it and once you've passed it, that's it. No more options for that talk. And no, I don't think it's a bug, you simply need to speak with her when this is an issue and then you can get it. I suspect that once you turn in the nugs you can find and complete that bug wrangler quest, and if you haven't yet spoken with Leliana about it, then that's it, it's gone. I can definitely see this like so on my different chars and saves. Not betting on it of course, just seems to be so.

Schmooples is indeed awesome. I laughed when I saw the name, and I still sometimes smile when I look at it.

if you're having trouble triggering the conversation try taking Leliana back to camp until all the automatically triggered camp convos are done, then head back to Orz

I think that's it.  I didn't ask her about it until she already said they are dirty or whatever she said.  When I asked her later, no mention.

Well, that's what numerous playthroughs are for.

I only got a dialogue to eat a rosted Nug... Not actually specified to be Schmooples! Poor schmoopy!

He is unbearably adorable. A big grin spread on my face when I got back to camp, found the nug there and saw his name. Leliana is so sweet!
